I've seen the clip with the dog before and it never fails to be satisfying. You shouldn't underestimate a dogs love and loyalty.

There are so many more legendary moments. The tupperware lady. / The "prize" guy./ The teen guys that said they didn't see or take a backpack, but then corrected the owner on what was in it. / The mother who got called out for her child being so scared of her that they would rather lie to a judge. / The family who started soap opera level drama at a kindergarten graduation. / etc.
I remember one case I can no longer find, in which a very meek and apologetic young woman got sued for pouring a soda over a guys head in a cinema because he came in late and was loud and rude. The girl obviously had to pay, but JJ was clearly on her side. Since the case outcome was obvious, the guy was playing smug victorious victim. So the judge awarded him the money, and then chewed him up and spat him out. I wish I could find that one, because it was glorious.
The #1 was the best episode ever. When that dog ran to his owner, I literally cried. I remember this episode and how much of a liar that woman was. Stealing someone's animal is like stealing their child. Let someone come for my baby girl, my doggo and they will NEVER see the light of day.
Any dog will go to a family member that they haven’t seen for a while. That didn’t prove anything.

I can attest to the fact that there are many people out there with DEGREE AFTER DEGREE who are complete NIMrods in life and sometimes in whatever they got their degree in.
I had a boss exactly like this. His walls are covered degrees and courses and whatnot. I was in so much disbelief I looked him up in two of the universities and he was in the alumni lists! This guy was a dolt! Most of our jobs were circumventing and preempting him or undoing his blunders. He was married to the boss's daughter. I left about 4 months in because there was just too much nepotism.

I always loved when someone showed up to court with zero evidence. No receipts, no photos, no copies of anything! Just their word, like Judge Judy was going to believe whatever they said without any proof.

There are so many that bring no evidence to court.
I knew that the stolen dog episode was going to be number one before even watching. That episode got me in my feelings when the pup ran to his owner.
Me and my mother just LOVE judge Judy ( the old episodes at least) that woman has more common sense in one finger than most people have in their ENTIRE bodies
That last story was great, animals never lie in Court , or ever. She spoke for herself, that cute little pup. That's why I like animals so much better as company, than people. Most people , really are just like the ones, she kicks out of her courtroom & it really is exhausting to be around people like that, all of the time, hell , even part of the time.
Got the dog decision idea from a supposed case when King Solomon had two women say a child was theirs and it wasn't until he was going to cut the child in half that the real mother said to give the baby to the false mother. What it reminded me of anyway.

Some of these stories kinda remind me of myself.
I work in a hospital as a Biomedical Scientist (my job is to diagnose and monitor patients through clinical presentation as well as looking at their blood, spinal fluid, urine etc... basically any sample your clinician takes). In several cases, I've had to flat out tell a patient "stop lying to me" when they say they weren't drinking, didn't take X, Y or Z etc... because their blood work FLAT OUT says they have.
Before anyone asks, no I can't prescribe treatment, that's out of my JD.
All I want is that when Judgment Day comes - Judge Judy is on the bench. XD

I once took the husband of a friend to court. The two of them moved states and he offered me a job, so I went as well. Job didn’t pan out, so I came back.
I was pregnant (not his), and was sleeping on an air mattress. As all my belongings had been in storage with their belongings.
He was refusing to give me my stuff because he would then have to move their belongings down to the state they were currently living in. He said he couldn’t afford it.
He came back to be at the hearing. I was about 8 months along at this point. He asked the judge if he could have the suit put on hold so he could fly back to the other state, hire a lawyer and fly both of them back here, so that he would have legal representation to aid him in not having to get anything out of storage, just so he wouldn’t have to move his and his wife’s stuff.
The judge looked at him like he had three heads. She pointed at me, and yelled at him about the fact that I was sleeping on an air mattress, that he had all my baby furniture in storage, etc.
She read him the riot act and told him that she didn’t care what he did with his stuff, but he was going to give me my stuff back.
As angry as she was at him, I still would have paid good money to have been in front of Judge Judy for that. It would have been awesome.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible. But I still imagine…. 😂😂😂😂

Theres an episode where these 2 girls were fighting over a couch and 1 of them says "she said she was going to bleach the couch" then Judge Judy yells "LET HER BLEACH HER HALF" they both chipped in for the couch lmaoo

Regarding the eBay phone scammer, number 12, the plaintiff also mentioned that the defendant had a federal lawsuit filed against her by both eBay and PayPal (back when PayPal was handling eBay payments) for employing their services to commit fraud by deception, and grand theft.

Case #2 she remained calm for a reason. If she had exploded in anger and kicked him out, that would have been exactly what he wanted, and she wasn’t giving him that satisfaction. I have to commend her for that.
#12 -- Were there other cases where Judy awarded the $5000 max even though the plaintiff wasn't even seeking nearly that much?
The weirdest case I saw on her show was a hotel was suing some guy for unpaid bills.
The guy bragged on the show about how he set up high stake poker games in hotels.
He thought he would be able to get some free publicity for his business.
After the show aired, the police arrested him for conducting illegal gambling operations.
I would have started crying if I were one of those people.
One I remember is a man was suing a woman because she slashed his tires. She admitted she slashed the tires, but didn’t think she should have to pay because she thought the car belonged to her now ex-boyfriend. “I shouldn’t have to pay for them. I didn’t mean to slash his tires, I meant to slash my ex’s tires!”

There was one guy who was suing some woman because she had his poodle.
Judy told the woman to have the dog brought in and and ran to the guy.
The poodle ran to the guy.
Judy said, "We know who the dog belongs to."
Number three angers me every time I see it. The lady lost her daughter and the plaintiff has the absolute balls to sue her during her time of morning. Disgusting.
I remember the case where the mother sues the mother whose son was killed. I remember being absolutely horrified. The audience was also horrified. Some people are just born psychopaths. Hands down the worst case ever. I’m pretty sure Judge Judy would have jailed her.
The dog case was also one of my all time favorites. The man was moved to tears and the dog was deliriously happy. What kind of bottom feeding vermin do you have to be to steal a man’s dog?

Wow, so we're really ignoring the case where a woman stole a horse claiming it was "rent-to-own" and the plantiff got hit with the counter-judgment and she freaked out? That is honestly, one of the best takedowns.
The case is Caroline Fawcett v Summer Ruegger. The youtube video is "Judge Judy knows horse people" and the plantiff still argues the case in the comments
