Thank you so much for sharing your path since the loss of Patrick. Congrats on finishing the journey and bringing Brick House home! I imagine that leaving her early would have haunted you forever, but you gave her a proper goodbye. Now you have both been freed to live the next chapter. Best of luck with the RV life, hope you continue to let us know how you are getting along.
That’s it 100%. If I didn’t finish with her and find her a good home it indeed would have haunted me forever. I feel good about the whole thing though I will miss her forever too!
A sad time yet 37:08 with a new chapter starting. Hopefully happier times will be ahead. I am 72 and lost my wife of 47 years three years ago. I have finally come to th realisation that we all have individual destinies and life spans. I have now remaried to a beautiful french lady and joy is now again in my heart. We will never forget the past, but we have only one direction to go. And that is forward. Good luck for the future. Cheers from Australia. @SailingBrickHouse-RVLife
❤️ We'll always love Brickhouse, and the unwavering love Patrick gave to her. His talents where infinite. I imagine Diane and David would like you to visit the boat in the future!
Thank you Rebecca for sharing. Thank you Michael for your compassion and kindness. R.I.P. Patrick, thank you for teaching me so much. Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened. Dr. Seuss
What an awesome episode Rebecca … a thorough transition encapsulated in a single video. BTW - not a possum but an armadillo (Texas speed bump & rabid(?)). A very important summary for us to appreciate the reasons why this transition was necessary and of how BH was clandestinely sapping the joy and spirit that makes you the beautiful person that you are. I think your new life will be just as fulfilling, exciting & joyous. You will be okay.
I wish you all the happiness your heart can hold. We will miss you and the thousands of people who followed your journey will have an emptiness from your unique heart felt vlogs. Would love you to check back just now and again and let us know how your doing. Much love from Scotland
Ah thanks so much. I will continue the channel with my RV adventures… hope you will stay subscribed and watch my future RV life videos. So similar to sailing to be honest!
Hi Rebecca….I remember when you bought Brickhouse! She’s a beautiful boat and I’m glad she gave you and Patrick so many wonderful adventures. I’m thankful she kept you safe all these years, too! All the best in your new adventures in the RV world! 🥰😘
Only catching up now. Last video I had seen you and Michael were parting ways. More than a year ago. Just now watched the circumnavigation video and this one. I first started watching right after Patrick passed during Covid. You are an amazing resilient woman. I shed a few tears when you sold Brick House. 💕 It’s lovely to see Michael is still in your life. Here’s to all the new land based adventures to come! 🎉
Yep… Michael and I will probably be friends forever though we aren’t a couple anymore. He is the best of men…but we on different paths now, for sure. I’m on my RV seeing my own country for a change, and he is on his boats down in Grenada living the sailing life! When you want to go sailing, it’s a bit of a disease and you have to do it… I’d never hold someone back from what they truly want to do… I know this addiction first hand!
Rebecca, I am emotionally blown away w/heartfelt tears watching, listening to your video and SO happy U shared it w/the world. Ty for honoring “life.” Love the camping n Brunswick (my childhood summer vacations w/family). p.s. that’s an Amarillo w/the raccoons. 😉 Keep moving forward. U are such an inspiration & make a lot of us proud. Keep listening to your instincts; your compass 🩵❤️♥️🩵❤️♥️❣️
WOW, that is a very tough day. Rebecca, you will so well. This is certainly ALOT more than selling Bick House. This is actually, another emotional step. Your heart must be broken. Hang in there, the new owners seem to be good hearts . Be well and start to have some wonderful new adventures. I will watch for new postings,
Ah thanks so much Bill. Yea it’s a whole different life though I find so many similarities boats to RVs! Some differences too. I hope it will be as fun as sailing once was for me!
Well done !! I have been watching for about 4 years and enjoyed every episode. I have also been drinking Miller high life beer for near 50 years I hope Michael enjoyed it as much as I do
Rebecca, I last commented on a video when you and Patrick were in South Africa. I watched him repair the deck where your anchor windlass was mounted. It was the first moment since selling my 1976 Valiant 40 that I felt like maybe I could begin to live with the decision I made to sell. I have watched many of your videos but they were hard because my grief and sense of loss is so great. Our Valiant, Glamorgan, was a family boat and we sailed her for thirty years, all in the beautiful waters of British Columbia where one could explore a lifetime and never see it all. I have admired your spirit and drive to take Brick House around the world with Patrick and then carry on after such a loss. I kind of feel like we could talk for hours. I started kayak camping after I sold the boat and I hope you find your way out towards the Pacific Northwest as you start your new adventure. I know lots of cool spots, but mostly I would love to talk sailing and moving on when the time comes. Please consider giving me a shout if you are near. I kept the 9 foot Ranger Minto sailing dinghy that was our tender for Glamorgan and I still get to feel that joy of the water beneath an albeit much smaller hull and the wind in my sails….and I have fun. And I remember… Sometimes my friend Kevin comes with me on longer kayaking camping adventures, but mostly I adventure as a mid sixties woman with my feline sidekick, Gabriel. He’s my new buddy after my 17 year old Adventure Cat died last year. We had felines on Glamorgan always and I transitioned them to kayaks and camping! I cried exactly the same as you did when I walked away from my beautiful, stalwart vessel. I cried again, watching you. I get it.
Thanks so much. It’s very true. As long as I kept that sailboat I’d be trying to preserve a past instead of getting on with the future. No regrets. But I definitely miss the lifestyle… but NOT a the responsibility!
That possum looked a lot like an armadillo, Mike 🤣. Rebecca, thanks for you and Patrick, sharing your life, Brickhouse, and imparting all that knowledge and cruising philosophy. As you and Mike embark on this next phase of your journey, it is gratifying that you found the right new owners for Brickhouse’s saga to continue. One can be parted from a physical thing but the knowledge and experience you gained will always remain in you. You will always be an asset as a charter captain, crew or sailor. You have a great next chapter as we toast you, Patrick, and Mike. 👍😎
Thank you for your very thoughtful comment, and thank you for including the three of us. Patrick and Michael are such huge parts of my happiness and success in this whole endeavor. I was so lucky to have them both on my life. Thank you for recognizing that. And yes it was an armadillo… though we saw a possum that night too :)
Hi Rebecca, I haven't seen your channel for quite a while. I am so pleased to see you in a better place than last time. Also to see you with Michael working together. I'm sure David and Diane will be happy with Brick House. She is looking lovely. Well done. Have a great life in your motorhome.
Ah thanks so much… thanks for coming to watch my final sailing brick house video. But there will be many more with my “motor” yacht :) I’ve done a lot of videos in the last 6 months but I think TH-cam shut them off.
I've enjoyed watching your Brick House videos for many years. You and Patrick became like family. Leaving the boat after all the tribulations is a sadness akin to leaving the military. Departing Brick House is the right choice. Good luck with the RVing. Semper Fidelis
Thank you so much. I know for sure it was the right thing to do. But so difficult and it’s setting in that I will never lay on hee bunks again or cook in hee valley or anything at all. I really loved Brick House
Beautiful video Rebecca, thank you for sharing with us. You are the strongest, most beautiful women, sitting at the South African braai made by Michael, your peace and radiance shone through brightly. I wish you well on your new chapter and Michael’s friendship is a real treasure. Will keep following you for sure. Love and Light Chrissy from Durban, South Africa. 🇿🇦 ❤
Oh wow… thank you. Yes I’m so so so lucky to have Michael in my life even if it’s only a few weeks or months a year :) I wouldn’t be where I am without him!
My Respect for you Lady ! I was one of the first subscribers to your Channel and Patrick was number 5 in mine. I wish you the best time and safe travels on your new Rv adventures.
Very emotional for all of us who were following you and Patrick. Brickhouse brought a lot of happiness for a lot of people, but it coundh have done it without you, Patrick and David. I pray for you to have a nice, safe and healthy life. We will be missing brickhouse videos but your mental, phisical health is more important.
Thanks so much. I’m sure you mean me, Patrick and Michael :) But yes…my mental health took a toll and now it’s time to take care of something besides the boat.
Tears for you Rebecca, I feel your grief leaving BrickHouse, she is a part of you and your personal history, Patrick and the memories together there- so hard to say goodbye. I am a captain and sailor for the last 30 years, did 2 crossings (as crew) I appreciate so much what you have accomplished. I "ended up" on an island in Greece, kept a foothold in Italy. Get in touch if you want to come this way. Enjoy now connecting with earth energy, different from sea energy, but good.
I have watched you sail with Patrick to SA, watched you lose him...and admired your guts and determination to keep sailing. Yet when I tuned in today and heard your decision to sell Brickhouse, I knew you were charting A smart new course for yourself. She looks beautiful, what a great boat! Enjoy your RV exploring. You are special! You, too, Michael!
Oh thank you so much for that kind comment and will make sure Michael gets the word! Yeah it’s the right decision. But I will miss hee for my whole life. Never will I ever find a boat again that is so perfect.
I never saw your channel before today. What i would like to tell you is, you can be whatever you decide you want to be. You always have had that ability. How people perceive you is none of your business. Give that ole gal in the mirror some credit, she's done things, she knows things. Be happy my friend. There are no other rules. Good luck!
Rebecca you have given all to Brick House and it is now time for you to give to you. I look forward to following your new adventures. Exciting times ahead for you.
A fresh start for you Rebecca sounds like a wonderful idea. You’ve had a lot of memories on Brick House & it’s been great sharing that journey with you. You never know, maybe one day you’ll get a new boat, to match your new life. You definitely have given it, your heart and soul. It is awesome to see Michael with you, what a mighty good man! You deserve nothing but the best! Forward is never straight. 🥰
Forward is never straight… not on a sailboat… not on an RV. Not in life… that’s for sure! Thanks so much for your kind comment. And yes Michael is the best friend!
It's unusual that I never knew you or Patrick, but I stumbled onto your channel a few months before Patrick passed. His death and your eternal love for him was obvious for anyone watching. I haven't really followed you much since then. The years between have been a dark time for mankind. I'm not a sailor, yet my own journey has led me to believe that maybe I was in a previous life as I'm now attempting to complete a 40ft power catamaran, whose original builder poured the last four years of his life before tragically dying with her incomplete. Good luck Rebecca. You are a survivor and that piece of advice from Patrick (doggy) is probably just one of thousands that someone who loves us and touches us imparts to us to make us stronger. I'm sure Patrick is watching over your every move. Much love.
Oh wow what a beautiful comment. Thank you. Thank you for loving the doggy comment as much as I do :) Yea I feel him watching over me all the time. Usually when I think my smarter thoughts :)
Hi Rebecca, I wondered what happened to you. I know it is a big private heartache to sell, BUT your reasons for selling are really sound. You will always have the memories and I am so sure Patrick would agree with your decision. Do the RV thing. It will be such an increadable adventure and you will have such change of pace and life style. Embrace it and be free of the stress of boat maintenance. Keep us posted on your travels. Best regards from South Africa for your new adventures.
Rebecca, I’m retired, picking up a used 4WD truck and getting a house on her so I can go see some off road sights. We Can Do This! The Best to Brick House’ new owners and Blessings to you, Rebecca. I Honor you for finding her new owners, sailing this love of yours around the world and now finding new adventures along your journey. A Heartfelt Thank you. ❤❤❤
Rebecca, I am weeping for you. Also glad you have made the decision and are on your way to a new adventure. New season of life. Sailors are always looking for crew, as you know, so finding friends and getting on the water will still be easy. Congratulations.
I learnt a lot of really helpful things from you guys. I loved Patrick's practical advice on all things sailing. I also found it refreshing to watch a sailing channel that shared the good and the challenging of life on board. A very true reflection of how it really is to sail. I am working on my dream to go sailing. We determine our reality so it's going to happen. I hope you have a fantastic journey. Look forward to seeing your adventures.
🇿🇦 Happy to see you guys are planning your travels. Yes I'm sad to see Brickhouse go, she's really a well equipped boat, but I think you need a change as it seems you need it, but keep your channel going. Michael hopefully will spend more time with you, although he needs that sailing income. Take it easy and chill out. *To Michael, Boet look after this wonderfull lady, she needs a good man and friend* I've also sold my boat and will be travelling UK/Europe in a modified van. Stay strong and enjoy life.
Thanks so much for being part of my life and inspiring me. Your honest portrayal of life with its ups and downs shines thru. Life throws curveballs. You hit it out of the ballpark. Thankyou and safe travels. I'll be watching for the next episodes. All the best x
Well, that was bittersweet. Not sure why but letting go is so so hard, it’s like ripping velcro. On a lighter note, I did chuckle when Michael talked about catching a crocodile or alligator because right before that I was just thinking “man, this guy is a renaissance Crocodile Dundee”. I wish you both the very best and I hope your next chapter is filled with happiness. Take good care of yourselves.
You have had a long journey over the last couple of years and handled it with grace. You taking care of this boat until the end was as much of a tribute to Patrick as it was anything and I am sure he would have been proud. So glad that you and Michael can share a bit of life together...... whatever that may hold.
Rebecca, Well a big congrats on completing your circumnavigation on Brickhouse . It seems you will be moving on with life in a new directions as the life on the sea will always be there in the distant past as the memories slowly fade . Robert North Star
Thanks so much. Yea it was time to take a break from sailing and the responsibility of a sailboat. It was not an easy journey. The RV seems to be a lot simpler!
Thanks so much for this video. I’m crying for you Now too. I know the feeling. Have been through it and loosing my wife to a boating accident. Fell off the boat on the hard. I hope that the buyers were followers on your channel and appreciate the history. They got a great boat. I too am now full timing on an RV. A 24 yr old DUTCH STAR diesel pusher 38’. They are great buys. It’s my land yacht. Many parallels. I boondock a lot and pay little. When I want to stop. I can usually find nice places for around $500 a month. The most RV FRIENDLY areas are out westAZ, NM, UT, NV. found skies clearer and mar incredible than mid ocean. Good luck to you and will keep following. Glad to see Michael.
Ag that sounds wonderful… the wonderful night skies. Those are the states I’m heading to so I hope it gets less expensive as time goes on. So so sorry about your wife… she isn’t the first wife I have known of to fall of the boat on the hard… terrible place for it to happen. Yes the buyers were king time followers and appreciate the background on the boat. They appreciate Patricks many special touches to that sailboat!! They did get a great boat, for sure…
And yea so many parallels sailboat to RV. I find my Motorhome so easy to work on… nothing too baffling or complicated. And the terrible passages only last for a few hours!
@@RVLifeNOW ha ha. Yeah, true. I teach Astronomy. Use to teach and use celestial nav. Love the skies out there. Spent time boondocking in the high desert east of Taos at about 8000’. Wow.
Ohhh, you're Patrick Childress' widow. You're getting rid of the boat, you've spent what, 14 years on? What a sad day. Life is full of pages, and turning this page, must be a heavy page to turn. I wish you prosperity. RV life can be fun. Last time I saw this channel, Patrick and you were putting a copper paint on the hull, somewhere I think in South Africa, maybe.
Yea in Richards Bay, s Africa. Welcome back! Hope you will subscribe and not miss my future videos. Yes. Been on the boat since 2001. Full time since 2007
I'm 72 and I still don't think I can part with my beautiful Tartan 48 I've had for 20 years. I know I would feel exactly like you do. All the very best for the new adventure.
Hard to watch this without choking up. I'm glad you brought Brickhouse home to complete the voyage. Very important for your own esteem. Good luck for the future.
Thanks… exactky. I had to finish. I will always have a small part of me that wonders if I should have held on to her. But the larger part of me feels it was right.
God Bless you Rebecca! You are doing such amazing things! Thank you for telling your story. Hope you find just the right people to buy your Brick House.
Good Progression, Nice one you two. Michael you're an outstanding dude to come back and help Rebecca. Lekker Braai Bru. All the best in all future endeavours.
I finally parted with my sailboat after a lifetime sailing. I now have a trawler. It’s different. But everything in life has its time. As we age items become less and time with loved ones more precious. Enjoy today whether it be RV, or whatever life gives you. Take a deep breath and enjoy the moment. You’ll do fine. You will see. Thanks for sharing.
I have to say, thank god you have finally appreciated Michael. Never ever thought I’d hear you say took instruction from Michael. He is a very good man. Can only wish you, Michael, and Brick House all the best in the future. RIP Patrick
Thanks for sharing your goodbyes from Brickhouse Rebecca its certainly been a journey and a half ,the next phase is now happening in your life such is for a lot of us enjoy it and i'm sure brick house will be in your thoughts everyday ,dont worry we all will be along for your next adventure your a gem and you've a good mate in Michael a real nice bloke all the best see in you in your next blog Rebecca bye for now Dave
Than( you for sharing this! A little surprised by the sale, but i don't blame you! I want to RV around the US, but right now family obligations prevent me. If your crossing into Alabama, let me know. You can stay here on Dauphin Island for free! Both of you. Just plug in, attach a hose and bike and kayak and bird watch all you want with great cheap seafood! ❤❤
Oh wow… wish I knew that as I went by!! Thank you. If you send your address and phone number to Rebecca.childress@yahoo.com I’d love to add you to my “driveway bible” in case I’m out that way again. That sounds like a GREAT offer!
Possum or Armadillo? Having seen the whole video, and remembering Patrick, I wish you health, happiness, great company, and prosperity. For all the entertainment you have given people. Go forward with high heart!
You have been sensible. Head vs heart stuff can be difficult. Brickhouse will live on, and so will you. I can almost imagine Patrick saying "Get out there and just enjoy what life has to offer you." Best of luck , we will check in on you whenever you post a new video.
I’ve watched you sail around the world and as an ‘ol dog myself (ex Stormvogel crew) I appreciate the joys and struggles you’ve been through to arrive where you’re now at..When this latest video opens with you cleaning the pool, for a moment I didn’t recognise you as you’re looking trimmer and younger 👍👍..Just a small request, when you edit the video with music competing with your narrative it’s maybe an idea to lower the music volume..I feel your determination to make life what you want it to be will eventually happen..My moto that’s got me through the tough times has been “The Best is yet to Come”.🌹
I've been seriously boat shopping for nearly the past year. I thought about coming to look at Brick House, but after I started seeing boats, I decided I'm more interested in a smaller boat. I'm glad Brick House found her new owner. Thank you for all the detailed technical videos filled with insightful ideas and comments. You and Patrick are amazing. I've enjoyed watching your videos for years. Good luck on your new adventures, but don't hesitate to make more sailing videos. You have valuable knowledge that can help people cross oceans. Maybe you should write a book?
Thanks so much. Keep thinking about a book but so far only a few chapters have been written. Maybe one day. And I’m sure I will get on sailboats again. I don’t think I can shake it completely. I just don’t think I want to own one anymore. Too much responsibility and stress
I cruised for 7 years (~70,0000 miles) singlehanded in a Chatham 33', steel pilothouse cutter and loved every minute of it. After 4 years cruising in the east (summers in the Canadian maritimes and winters in the Caribbean), I did a 3 year 40,000 mile circumnavigation in the high latitudes including places like Iceland, the Shetland islands, the southern ocean, British Columbia, Cape Horn. After I sold my boat 10 years ago, I missed the cruising life, but alas, I was just getting too old for the high latitude sailing. As Jimmy Buffett sang, "So many nights I just dream of the ocean, God I wished I was sailing again".
You are very knowledgable about sailing, maintenance & boat systems. You could always 'hang out your shingle' as a small craft surveyor, ocean passage advisor/consultant. Insurance companies always require a pre-purchase survey and novices of all ages often (or at least should) seek advice prior-to embarkng on an initial ocean crossing. You could teach and crew also. All this, of course being dependant, on how badly you need the extra funds. You have the heart of a lion! And, you are obvious a 'people person' and also have 'street smarts'; you will always manage well - wherever you go and whatever you do... Best of luck, Godspeed - and "Happy St. Patrick's Day!"
Girl tears flow thru the whole sailing community and your fans you are never alone we all love you and are here forever thank you ❤
Ahhhhhh thank you. I will always be right here on Sailing Brick House -NOW RVING!

We are Boondockers Welcome hosts, and think it’s a wonderful program. Glad to hear that you are member (along with Harvest Hosts).
T HH s k you for being a host! Maybe some day I will rock up in to your deiveway!
Yes, good decision. Remember all the good memories and try to forget the bad ones. I have enjoyed your you tube films , all the best to you. ❤❤
Sailors have a short memory or we would never sail again! I am no different :)
My Respect for you Lady !
I was one of the first subscribers to your Channel and Patrick was number 5 in mine.
I wish you the best time and safe travels on your new Rv adventures.
Wow, thank you. Thanks for sticking with me!
Rebecca, I cry with you! But a new chapter of adventure has just began!!!! Love you, Pieter from South Africa!!!
Ah Pieter… thank you… South Africa will always be so dear to my heart!
I’m sure you mean me, Patrick and Michael :) But yes…my mental health took a toll and now it’s time to take care of something
besides the boat.
Thanks for the encouragement… yes. And thank you /)
I have watched you sail with Patrick to SA, watched you lose him...and admired your guts and determination to keep sailing.
Thanks for sharing your trials and adventures.
Thanks for watching!
That was a very touching video. Here is to the next chapter of your adventure!!
Thanks Paul :)
Such a poignant and beautifully told story. Thank you for sharing your lovely heart and life.
ah…thanks so much!
You are looking good! and refreshed! Glad you found a buyer! Awesome video! I laughed along with you and I cried along with you. ❤
Oh thank you! I feel like I looked kinda bad in this video but glad it’s not too bad :)
I never saw your channel before today. What i would like to tell you is, you can be whatever you decide you want to be. You always have had that ability. How people perceive you is none of your business. Give that ole gal in the mirror some credit, she's done things, she knows things. Be happy my friend. There are no other rules. Good luck!
Ah good words of wisdom… welcome!
Now that, is a kind reply. Bravo for being one of the decent humans. May your life be wonderful!
New chapter rich with new and old memories! I can’t thank you enough for all you share with us. 🙏
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching! A hope you will stick around!
Rebecca you have given all to Brick House and it is now time for you to give to you. I look forward to following your new adventures. Exciting times ahead for you.
Yes! Thank you! I’m very excited for what lies ahead in my RV Life!
Ah thank you. You understand 100%
She looks great , Memories are made too not just relived . To new memories girl.❤
Thanks…. There will be many :)
YOUR HEART IS BEAUTIFUL. YOU'LL BE SURPRISED RV LIFE WIL BE WHAT EVER YOU WANT TO MAKE IT. SEE YOU ON THE ROAD
Looking forward to seeing you there :)
Well done Rebecca. Well done ❤
Thank you so much for watching!
Ah thanks so much for the kindest of comments… Yea! We CAN do this!!!
I am 79 and have a small motorhome and travel hope you enjoy this lifestyle.
Thanks… hope to see you out there in your RV!
A fantastic journey filled with a lifetime of great memories 🙏
Yea that’s for sure! Loved my sailing life
Rebecca, I am weeping for you. Also glad you have made the decision and are on your way to a new adventure. New season of life. Sailors are always looking for crew, as you know, so finding friends and getting on the water will still be easy. Congratulations.
Thank you so much! yes I know I will sail again somewhere!
Thanks for taking us along. Was nice meeting you in Brunswick.
Nice meeting you too! Who’s this though :)
Ah so glad to hear that you will follow me in my RV too. And thank you for your nice compliment to my channel.
*To Michael, Boet look after this wonderfull lady, she needs a good man and friend*
I've also sold my boat and will be travelling UK/Europe in a modified van.
Stay strong and enjoy life.
Ah another sailor turned RVer. Michael and I will always look after eachother… we are the best of friends!
Congratulations! Tough decision, but the right one. Nice to see you and Michael together again!
Thanks so much. Yep we will always be friends!
Impressive, I feel ya, thanks for sharing . Brick House is beautiful.
Thanks for watching! She definitely is a great looking sailboat!!!
Lovely video Rebecca. You are an inspiration to so many. Now for the book. ❤
I know… it’s time to start that darn thing. Well I have a few chapters down but always seems like something more important to do
Thanks so much for being part of my life and inspiring me. Your honest portrayal of life with its ups and downs shines thru. Life throws curveballs. You hit it out of the ballpark. Thankyou and safe travels. I'll be watching for the next episodes. All the best x
Ah thanks so much. Glad it helps you to watch. It helps me to create :)
I cried, I cried, i cried and I cried. It touched my soul. Good luck in every plan ahead. You are amazing.
Oh wow… thank you very much. I cry and cry and cry and cry every time I watch it !!!
Haha that he is! A great sailor and fun to TV with too.
I have tears with you.
Thank you. I appreciate it
You have had a long journey over the last couple of years and handled it with grace. You taking care of this boat until the end was as much of a tribute to Patrick as it was anything and I am sure he would have been proud. So glad that you and Michael can share a bit of life together...... whatever that may hold.
Thanks so much. It indeed was!
Hi Rebecca. Great job touching up the boat, lol. Congrats on selling your boat and onto another chapter of life. Good luck, David and Diane. 😅🇨🇮👋👋
Haha thanks you guys :) Couldn’t have done it without you!
Glad to see you've moved on from the boat. Surprised to see Michael again. Hope you are both well.
Thanks. Yea he comes and goes from my life :) Love him to pieces!
33:03 You inspired me to change myself. Thank you.🙏
@@wandererblue Glad to hear that! It’s always possible!
She's beautiful, and she's you and Patric, and Michael, and the next good people who will shepherd her.
Yea I was blessed to enjoy her for over 2 decades. Best sailboat in the world :)
Rebecca,
Well a big congrats on completing your circumnavigation on Brickhouse . It seems you will be moving on with life in a new directions as the life on the sea will always be there in the distant past as the memories slowly fade .
Robert
North Star
Ah hi Robert… thanks for your support all these years!!!
Best decision you've made since leaving SA. Happiness for you going forward.
Thanks so much. Yea it was time to take a break from sailing and the responsibility of a sailboat. It was not an easy journey. The RV seems to be a lot simpler!
I feel for you. Selling must have been a really tough decision. Best wishes. Happy travels.
Thanks it was hard to sell the boat. Harder to keep it though.
I hope you feel completed with the closing of this chapter. Look forward to the new!
Thanks … hope you will keep watching. :) And subscribe to the new owners xhannel!
So good to see you reunited with brick house, even if it is to get her ready to go
Thanks
Wow.
@@roadboat9216 wow… will check out Taos for sure on my RV (not on the sailboat haha)
Really glad to see you and Michael together. Love story... Love the pup too. Can't wait to meet you both someday!
I hope so too! Michael is my best friend. Won’t see him for a long time though… he is a true sailor and now I’m a bit of an RVer!
Thanks so much. I’m a bit of a dish out of water right now… but it’s all. It will be good :)
The pain I feel the loss I bare , could never compare to the love of your memory.
❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for your comments!
I have no doubt that your next chapter will be more fulfilling because of the love and passion you carry always. Good luck.
Thank you so much!
God Bless you Rebecca! You are doing such amazing things! Thank you for telling your story. Hope you find just the right people to buy your Brick House.
Thank you so much! I did!
Good Progression, Nice one you two. Michael you're an outstanding dude to come back and help Rebecca. Lekker Braai Bru. All the best in all future endeavours.
Thanks for watching. Yep. Michael is my hero and best friend… that’s for sure! I hope to see him again this year!
Congratulations on the sail and sale. Good luck with RV'ing.
Thanks!
Thanks for your wise words and for watching :)
I have to say, thank god you have finally appreciated Michael. Never ever thought I’d hear you say took instruction from Michael. He is a very good man. Can only wish you, Michael, and Brick House all the best in the future. RIP Patrick
I may have not said it on film. but always always have appreciated Michael :)
Amazing channel. Thank you for all of it.
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks for watching!
Ah thanks so much!
Thanks so much. And yes… and Armadillo!
Wow Sailor it's sad to see you ending the sails . But everything has a season, and you have done well
Thank you. Isn’t that a song :)
We were just in Brunswick! I wish I could have come and seen you and Brick House and Michael!
Ah that would have been nice to show you my sailboat :)
Oh gosh I felt your emotion and wish you all the very best in your new adventure. Will still follow. xx
Thanks so much!
You have been sensible. Head vs heart stuff can be difficult. Brickhouse will live on, and so will you. I can almost imagine Patrick saying "Get out there and just enjoy what life has to offer you." Best of luck , we will check in on you whenever you post a new video.
Thank you! I appreciate that!
Congratulations Rebecca! You've done amazingly. You have many more adventures to look forward to.
Thanks! many adventures yea!
I’ve watched you sail around the world and as an ‘ol dog myself (ex Stormvogel crew) I appreciate the joys and struggles you’ve been through to arrive where you’re now at..When this latest video opens with you cleaning the pool, for a moment I didn’t recognise you as you’re looking trimmer and younger 👍👍..Just a small request, when you edit the video with music competing with your narrative it’s maybe an idea to lower the music volume..I feel your determination to make life what you want it to be will eventually happen..My moto that’s got me through the tough times has been “The Best is yet to Come”.🌹
Thank you . Yes sometimes what I’m saying is not so important and the music is saying something more important :)
Yep. Once sailing is in your blood.,, it doesn’t just go away I’m afraid! But it does get to be that something else for a change is best
I will miss your sea adventures! It has been enjoyable! I wish I were free to take her on!
Thanks..hope you will keep watching! I’m gonna have some fun in this here RV!
Mike, a true blue South African, solid and dependable. Sad to see Brick House go. Another chapter of life begins.
Yes Michael Hayward is an awesome man… represents South Africa so very very well!
so nice to see you again Rebecca, glad to see that you are ok. hope you continue to follow your dreams.
Thank you, I will
You are very knowledgable about sailing, maintenance & boat systems.
Ah great ideas… and a great complement ll the way around… thank you!
Good luck all best with your travels from NZ
Ah thanks for watching from New Zealand!
Hi Rebecca. Glad you made it this far!! Good luck with the rest of your journey. Follow your intuition, not your head!! Go Well!!!
Thank you so much!! Good advice!
