I’m very happy to see that you’re remaining friends, and of course I want to continue watching & keeping up with the both of you…. You’re both very special people that I’ve always felt taught us things by allowing us to come along on your adventures.
I think Michael came at a time when he was needed most. I did not expect it to last a lifetime, it seemed too much, too soon, but as I said, needed. Life is all about the journey. I think I said this before, but it's worth repeating, I enjoy sailing channels and some were more serious, some were almost a party boat, I always turned to Patrick for the serious sailor explaining everything about boating. His loss was no doubt extremely hard to take, it was not easy for those who had never even met him. I am glad Michael helped you make it back.
Rebecca... keep sharing your life with us as you have for years now. Michael... thank you for all that you've done for Rebecca, and your sharing your unique brand with us. If either of you ever make it to Atlantic Canada, make sure to let us know you're coming. Keep on keeping on... both of you!
I've loved watching you and Brickhouse for four or five years. Susan and I have lived on our Perry-designed Saga 43 since she was new sailing in New England.
What a turn of events but it speaks well of both of your characters that you handled it so well... and what's rather remarkable was that you shared it with us, mostly total strangers! I remember how making videos was Patrick's thing, chiefly, and you had your own things, but look at you now... well, both of you! Wishing the best for you all going forward, wherever it may take you.
Ah thanks so much for the kind comment. Yeah… I’m a different person now for sure! And Michael… well he is a pretty awesome person… so proud to call him my best friend to this day.
Hi Rebecca - as I discovered after my wife passed in 2012, after 36 years together, it takes time (5 - 10 years) to recover fully from the train-wreck your life becomes. Serendipity helped you by sending you a gentle but capable soul in your time of need. People come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime. In your case, I believe you and Michael have the blessing of all 3 - at various times. Michael is an angel. Now you are back on your feet, fighting fit, hope re-invigorated, it is time, once again, to embrace the wonderful adventure, to go on - living the dream! Patrick would have been so proud of you, dear woman.🤔🤗💐
Oh goodness… thank you… Yep it still doesn’t feel completely normal yet but it’s not so bad now. Michael got me through the worst of it. I was so lucky to have a sailor and a friend like him through it all.
Rebecca, I had never heard of you and Brickhouse - nor Patrick - untiI you cried your heart out on 'What really happened to Patrick Childress' in Cape Town - South Africa - live on TH-cam!!! Sadly, I still feel your pain. However, as one chapter closes, another will surely open. You and Michael achieved many milestones - good. Be strong, dear lady, there is more serendipity to come . . . 😉
wow can't believe it's be 2 years of me sitting in my office at work while you guys sailed around. Take care, safety first, all the best to both of you, from our family to yours
hell of a journey for you both, great to see people's individuality survive such a close relationship. Still missing Patrick but you've both got stories to tell yet. A sailing channel for sailors keep on doing it
I followed Brick House for many years long before Rebeccas husband past. It was great when you came aboard to help when you did. While it’s true some of what was shared should’ve been kept between the two of you we are all human and I think that is what made people continue watching. I wish you both the best. How exciting to have your own boat now. Michael you’re a great storyteller & I will be sure to continue watching both channels. Fair winds~
I would love to see Michael stat his own channel, and Rebecca I watched you and Patrick for some time, and my heart broke for you when you lost him, I hope you slow down and take some time for you, I will continue watching your story. Best of luck and I hope you find the peace and happiness you deserve on your journey.
Both of you are awesome people! You’ve chosen to share your lives with us in this very impersonal venue. Thank you! We land in the Bahamas in November ‘23. If you want the most incredible waters in the world come on up!
Wonderful watching, the happy and sad moments, the fun and work, the ups and downs, al the hello's and the goodbyes all part of your wonderful journey. The love of the ocean and sailing is truly in your genes! Your Dad is very proud of you. We wish you all the best on the Cape to Rio race, and lots of wonderful sailing time on your beautiful Amiga Mia may she be a wonderful and faithful friend and see you safely across the seas. I do hope that one day you write a book,!
Hi Kathy..it’s Rebecca…it’s a beautiful comment…will try to get Mike to respond to it too… thanks for being my family in S Africa… I hope one day I will see you all again…
To meet in some fare away land, to journey together to another fare away land then travel appart each to yet one more fare away land all this with encounters of both personal and external storms and calms. Even still your friendship remains endearing, perhaps this was the measure of something wonderful. Yes, Rebecca this small part of your life you have chosen to share with us gives us hope that no matter what challenges might come as so long as we move forward with courage and faith all things shall be as they should. Thanks
@@RVLifeNOW Hi Rebecca, it’s me Lauren. I know you don’t recognize this user name as it’s mine from Israel. Getting things ready here, weather has been good. Hope your boat and crew all work out. Enjoy your passage and visits to the islands

'Well, what a journey . . . ' as they say. Having had my fair share of bereavement, tough life and great supporting friends, and confusions about futures, and new starts, (I think it's called 'Life,') I can only wish you both Every Blessing on both of your journeys. Just each be yourself, and true to yourself, and see what life the universe and everything continues to teach you. And - wherever possible - love yourselves and look for and enjoy the good times. I'm very happy to 'take you as I find you,' both, and will value hearing about adventures in whatever way you each present them! Carry On Sailors!
@@RVLifeNOW Ha! Thanks Rebecca! If I'd seen your sailing videos in the 1970s I suspect I would've decided to have a go myself! No - I'm happy with the life I've had so far but I'm a bit too old and disabled now - I'd probably just fall over on a boat!
I look forward to following both of your journeys going forward. As a 3 time Valiant owner of course I take special interest in your adventures but on a human level I really respect your candor as you navigate what life deals out to us all. Thanks for sharing.
Dear Rebecca and Michael ! Rebecca , every time I watch your videos I remember the one where you told us of the passing of Patrick and it still brings tears to my eyes. It is SOOO obvious you were soulmates and this was a hard, if not impossible act for Michael to follow. I think it was very brave of Michael to abandon his boat and sail away with you. Now, sailing away separately seems to be the right decision (very emotional to see you setting off in the dinghy on your own). Michael : from your videos I feel you are a kind and gentle soul. I am very sorry things did not work out with Rebecca. I wish you both the best of luck and fair sailings ! Something tells me that had you met at a different time in our your lives things would have worked out and I would not be surprised that when you get to the same anchorage in 2 or 3 years time you will get back together . BEST of Luck to you BOTH. Look forward to your videos.
Ah Ron,l thanks for such a thought out comment. yes in a different time and place I think things may have worked out better. In many many ways Michael was the man of my dreams…much different than Patrick who was also the man of my dreams. But it just wasn’t working at this point in our lives. We will always be friends and deeply live eachother.
Wow! Such emotion and in the dearest place in my heart, Carriacou. Look up from Tyrell Bay towards White Island and you'll see our house. That was amazing. Yes, we want to follow you both. What a journey!
Wonderful. Agreed. Question: which Caribbean countries and ports and towns, as you expeiwnce them, are the best for low cost or moderate cost ownership and long term rental, and slip rental, with fewer flyong bugs, and with suburb landcscape and ocean views and mild climate for boating safely and also quiet safe land experiences and activities? Josie and I may get a place near some good port and provide lT computer services and procurement and delivery and provisioning servixes soon. Don Dassinger, BS IT CIS central Phoenix Arizona USA
Bravo Zulu! Great video, and I think Michael's own storytelling style is fantastic coming right out of the gate. Yours has been such a bittersweet and tender love story to watch over the past couple of years. I cried for both of you as I watched this video, and again for Patrick too. I wish you and Michael happy endings and new beginnings and also to continue loving, learning, living and always sailing on. Fair winds Brick House & Amiga Mia.
Ah Barry… thank you. It has been such a love story… that’s for sure. The sailing life is no different than real world life…with breakups and all. But Michael has certainly been hugely significant in my life, that’s for sure. I will love him always…
I could so easily read the way you felt about Michael by the way you looked at him when you two interacted on video. I hope eventually you both will find someone who makes you feel that way again. You don't really need to tell me that you will always love him. I'd have a very hard time believing any different after watching all of your videos. I won't ever believe we need to stop loving one person in order to love another.
A excellent vlog! Camera & editing work absolutely amazing! Sure enjoyed the music! This was a blast watching much appreciated definitely wish I could come along!😊 A beautiful job Cheers! Some self tailing winches and Amiga will be the best boat around ,perfect size and you can see she is built to sail (look at these sturdy hand holds), access to the stern from cockpit a plus for solo sailor safety! Rebeca, we all want to know where you are and what is up, please keep the channel going even once a month would be a a treat. Best to you, both.
I watched it again, which I don’t think I’ve ever done on TH-cam unless it’s a technical vid. This is a great film man. I commented on some technical aspects but honestly 2nd time round I never noticed them. Keep your style at all costs. Love the yacht, the tiller lock device is really nice, never seen it. Also the Bimini is gold and very clever fishing Rod storage.
Life has a way to bring together souls from different walks of life. They come together and share the wonders and struggles wondering where the journey will lead to. Your Dreams and your lives will always be joined as you move on to follow this new path. Love is hard to understand some times and as long as you have respect and support each other it doesn't matter. Cant wait to see what this new journey has in store I will always follow you and enjoy this with you. Well Done to you both.
Wonderful video. What's meant to be , is meant to be. It is what it is. Thank you for the videos you have both shared with us , and good luck and fair winds to you both. I would like to see more videos of where you both are , and more adventures from you both , even if its in different directions and different countries.
An excellent video Michael. Please keep them coming. I wish you both all the best as you continue sailing and sharing your adventures with us hopefully.
Congratulations to your new boat! I'm from Sweden myself, and here the Laurin 32 is very well known among bluewater sailors. The seaworthiness is top class, they are very sturdy and well built. Good luck:)
Rebecca, your adventurous spirit in face of all that the 'virus' has put you through, your loss, gains, etc, is admirable. I shall continue to follow your adventures. As a fellow South African I would also be keen to follow Michael. My late partner, during mid-life crisis, bought a Harley Davidson having never ridden a motor bike, he then suggested that we sell everything and go to sea. I now wish that we had. Instead we landed up in a mountain village 180kms in land, off the east coast of South Africa. My very best wishes to you both in your future adventures and I hope that I can continue to follow you both.
Came across this channel via a link from an article in Sail magazine. A very moving story, and it's not over. Be well, you two! Fair winds and following seas!
Hey Kids... kudos to you both for pushing through an not being afraid to be who you are, and to be true to that. Sometime a while back I tossed my hat in Rebecca's direction, but I ended up here in my land based sailboat ( RV) following my own path... cheers to you both... hugs!!
Thanks. Yep we are truly our own strange selves in every meaning of the world…thanks for appreciating that. Don’t remember your hat but glad you are enjoying your own non dragging land based sailboat!!!
This video showed some real talent coming from Michael. I agree he should get his own Chanel. I would be interested. And Rebecca enjoy your life. I am sure that Michael will be there for you throughout your life’s journey whenever you need to reach out to him. And I’m sure you will be the same for him. So as you know it was totally worth it. Relationships are hard especially in close quarters. So best wishes for both of you.
Omw...this video was a bit of a tear jerker...the end of what began like a fairy tale! So we are reminded that this is real life...where nothing is scripted and anything can happen. Thank you for sharing and entertaining us landlubbers , most of all for keeping it real and raw even when it hurt and was so uncomfortable. Good luck and may your new paths rise up to meet you with good winds at your back and the North Star guide you safely home.....till next time.🙏
I wish the very best for both of you. Life is a bittersweet symphony for sure but its the journey that weaves our tapestry. I hope to see you both in your future adventures.
It's beautiful you both have shared your lives and appreciate the candidness you both share. Life truly is and adventure inside and out. Both of you please continue to vlog even if its only for yourselves but I think you guys each have alot to share with the world. Cheers!
I've been watching for awhile but never commented, you are both beautiful people who deserve all your heart's desire. Fair winds and following seas. Looking forward to following you both.
The last time I saw your channel was during the sad loss of your husband. My own sailing journeys began just after that and I lost touch with some of you out there. Today this channel popped up and again I see Rebecca at a loss. Life is so hard sometimes. Thank god for the sea and it’s healing properties. Good luck to both of you.
What a lovely video, life is not easy, you two have been through some tough times and made some difficult decisions, only the best to both of you! Things can only get better.....
Wishing you both well…always. We’d love to follow you both still even if your paths go different ways and come together again. Add a link for the other site too. Wishing well on your rv adventure too. I will miss Brickhouse. But, the couple who bought her love her and maybe they will have their own channel one day too. No judgements here. We will continue to cheer you on.
Very emotional video. I wish him well in his new venture and of course Rebecca I wish you all the happiness you deserve. Hopefully you will find a new crew mate soon and continue your journey . I look forward to your next video from Brickhouse . 😊
That was really well done, way more of an explanation than you needed to say, but also very kind and respectful to each other 👍🏼 I'd love to see more of Michael's adventures on Amiga Mia, but probably that would be better on Michael's own seperate channel, as I also wouldn't want to miss out on Rebecca's adventures on Brick House, I'll wish you both the best and fair winds, following seas and a happy long friendship 🤞🏻
@@RVLifeNOW That'd be awesome, but i'd be happy with the same number of videos split across both channels. I'm sure there will be some who will want to take sides (there always is) and i'd be worried about one of you receiving unpleasant comments from someone who chose a side, seperate channels allows you to avoid it better they can just follow who they choose and the rest of use can follow you both 👍🏼 I would rather see you both in a good headspace, you don't need any more negativity (i'm sure you already get some, every YT'ber seems to)
Ah you may be right. I would just hate to see Michael have to start from scratch and make NO money for a year, and get very few views as TH-cam greatly favors monetized channels. But I agree…it would be easier to not get the negative comments that get us in a bad headspace.
@@daveamies5031 and youtube doesn’t favor less videos… if we share it we can afford to only do one a month since it’s a more established channel and they still give us the real estate. If we share it we can each do a video every 2 months. If Mike starts over he has to do a video every week or two. At 100 hours a video it’s a full time job and he can do nothing else with his life.
Let me be the first! I don't know that anyone seeing this video will be surprised and, good chance, it will be much the best in the end. It takes a LOT of courage from both of you. Stay strong and at peace!
Nice video, the Capetonian chap should continue with the you tube video thing, I think he will do well once he gets a few patrons etc on board. All the best for both of you, on your separate adventures!

...I don't have to read the comments, I'm sure my thoughts are like everyone else's... I'm saddened if not a bit shocked...not what I was expecting. Not even close...and yet, and yet it seems rather apropos that Michael would find his new boat so close at hand. Indeed, good things happen to good people... AND, Rebecca is broken no more. wow can't believe it's be 2 years of me sitting in my office at work while you guys sailed around. Take care, safety first, all the best to both of you, from our family to yours
Thank you very much! Mike
2 years yep…
Thank you Michael and Rebecca. Good luck in your separate paths, and I look forward to new videos from each of you.
Thanks Roy …we will both continue sailing I think and sailing videos will be done along the way by each of us
We are honored to know you both. Great people. Good luck and we hope to see you again.
Tracy, keep doing magic in the galley, and I will find you guys!
So good to meet you guys… thanks for watching… - Rebecca ( the other comment from Mike)
hell of a journey for you both, great to see people's individuality survive such a close relationship. Still missing Patrick but you've both got stories to tell yet. A sailing channel for sailors keep on doing it
Thanks for watching our crazy sailing adventures. We did the best we could…
I followed Brick House for many years long before Rebeccas husband past. Fair winds~
Thank you, I guess in hindsight we could have done things differently, but it is what it is. No regrets. Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike
Thanks for your comments and for watching our sailing channel…
I would love to see Michael stat his own channel, and Rebecca I watched you and Patrick for some time, and my heart broke for you when you lost him, I hope you slow down and take some time for you, I will continue watching your story. Best of luck and I hope you find the peace and happiness you deserve on your journey.
Thanks so much Tony. Slow down? If I went much slower I’d fall down!
Both of you are awesome people! You’ve chosen to share your lives with us in this very impersonal venue. Thank you!
We land in the Bahamas in November ‘23. If you want the most incredible waters in the world come on up!
hope to share an anchorage with you soon! One of us may be on our way soon!
Thank you Kathy! Dinner soon!
In the end, you were there for each other’s ups and downs and remain connected through your adventures and discoveries! Well done and thank you!
Thanks Bernard, you are welcome.
Yes Michael and I will always be connected…
Congratulations on your new beautiful boat, Michael, you deserve it.
He definitely deserves it…she is a beauty!
Thank you! Much appreciated!
Thanks
Such a sweet comment..thank you…we will both keep sailing, one way or the other.
@@RVLifeNOW Hi Rebecca, it’s me Lauren. I know you don’t recognize this user name as it’s mine from Israel. Getting things ready here, weather has been good. Hope your boat and crew all work out. Enjoy your passage and visits to the islands
Brilliant video! Thanks. I would love to see more of Michael and Rebecca's separate videos.
Best wishes to you both for the future! Xxx
OK stay tuned..you will see both here I think!
You were both where you needed to be then. You are both where you need to be now.
Yes I will look forward to continue following you Rebecca.
Michael, I’m hoping you will start your own channel, I will be watching all that you choose to share.
Thanks Joe… either way, both of our sailing adventures will be posted. One channel is so much work..can’t imagine two!
Awesome, now you can sail home and get your dog and head east!!! Go Captain Michael... fair winds, you earned it.
Yea Michael will always be a sailor ;)
Where is her dog
'Well, what a journey . . . ' as they say. Having had my fair share of bereavement, tough life and great supporting friends, and confusions about futures, and new starts, (I think it's called 'Life,') I can only wish you both Every Blessing on both of your journeys. Just each be yourself, and true to yourself, and see what life the universe and everything continues to teach you. And - wherever possible - love yourselves and look for and enjoy the good times.
I'm very happy to 'take you as I find you,' both, and will value hearing about adventures in whatever way you each present them! Carry On Sailors!
Thanks that’s a beautiful comment all the way around. You must be a sailor ;)
Michael, well done. Glad you are having your channel. Both of you be safe!
Thanks for watching our channel
I look forward to following both of your journeys going forward. As a 3 time Valiant owner of course I take special interest in your adventures but on a human level I really respect your candor as you navigate what life deals out to us all. Thanks for sharing.
Thankyou Jon!
Thanks Jon. Love my Valiant 40!
Yes please would love to see more of Michael's adventures
Thanks Andy…will pass it on to Michael. He is a great videography and both of our sailing adventures will be here!
Wow! Such emotion and in the dearest place in my heart, Carriacou. Look up from Tyrell Bay towards White Island and you'll see our house. That was amazing. Yes, we want to follow you both. What a journey!
Thanks Stephanie! We both love Carriacou, and will be back plenty!
Wonderful.
Michael you are one classy fella! Luv&Peace Bro! & Congratulations on the Boat! She's a real beauty.. we definitely want to see more of Michael's journey!! This was a bit sad but a beautiful story about life and it's intricacies! A Amazing job.
Rebecca Cheers friend! We definitely want to follow and see more of you ,we have been with you on this journey of yours for years Rebecca appreciate you immensely! Lotsa love Sean&family 🤝🏼✌🏼💛🍻
Thank you Sean! Much appreciated....and love and peace back at you brother!
Thanks so much. Yes to all of that!
Rebecca please keep posting I'm an old fart that can't do what you're doing and wishing I could and living through your adventures!
Thanks Tom…we will both keep, posting our sailing adventures..l
I watched it again, which I don’t think I’ve ever done on TH-cam unless it’s a technical vid.
This is a great film man. I commented on some technical aspects but honestly 2nd time round I never noticed them.
Keep your style at all costs.
Love the yacht, the tiller lock device is really nice, never seen it. Also the Bimini is gold and very clever fishing Rod storage.
Thank you! Your comments are valuable input. I will recieve all with gratitude! All best Mike
Thank you -Rebecca
Life has a way to bring together souls from different walks of life. They come together and share the wonders and struggles wondering where the journey will lead to. Your Dreams and your lives will always be joined as you move on to follow this new path. Love is hard to understand some times and as long as you have respect and support each other it doesn't matter. Cant wait to see what this new journey has in store I will always follow you and enjoy this with you. Well Done to you both.
Oh Dave..thank you so much for such kind words for us both… so good to have you here..l
Wonderful video. What's meant to be , is meant to be. It is what it is. Thank you for the videos you have both shared with us , and good luck and fair winds to you both. I would like to see more videos of where you both are , and more adventures from you both , even if its in different directions and different countries.
Thanks Gary. Our sailing adventures will be shared with you ;)
❤good luck to you both
once again I am in awe at the resiliency of your heart and beautiful soul. Fair winds
Ah thanks so much… we keep sailing…
You are both very special people and we have all enjoyed your time together. Fair winds to you both
Thanks for your kind words Bruce!
An excellent video Michael. Please keep them coming. I wish you both all the best as you continue sailing and sharing your adventures with us hopefully.
Thank you Lauren...I plan to! All best to you too! Mike
Thank you -Rebecca
Congratulations to your new boat! I'm from Sweden myself, and here the Laurin 32 is very well known among bluewater sailors. The seaworthiness is top class, they are very sturdy and well built. Good luck:)
Built by Vikings for Vikings!! Mike
i am hoping that Michael will do a sailboat tour video of Amiga Mia…she is such a great sailboat!
I love that little 'Blade Lock" for the tiller . Great channel ! Fair winds ! Cheers !
Thanks Robert. It really is a useful and simple solution when you need to free your hands for a minute or 2.
Tanks for watching Robert! Michael’s boat is a gem in so many ways!
Well done you two, I know it's sad to part ways, but what a wonderful journey you had! Please, please, more videos of both of you, cheers!
Thank you Johan. All best. Mike
Thanks Daniel…we will both post our future sailing adventures here…stay tuned…
God's speed and fair winds. Michael enjoy your new boat. Rebecca keep in touch and keep sailing.
We will both keep sailing, for sure
Thanks so much for watching our sailing adventures. We will both continue to put them out :)
Came across this channel via a link from an article in Sail magazine. A very moving story, and it's not over. Be well, you two! Fair winds and following seas!
Thanks for watching. Hope you subscribed? There’s an update coming in a few weeks
Great job of finishing the story! (and beginning a new one) Cheers to both captains and their trusty vessels.
Thank you svbh...much appreciated! 🙏 mike
Thanks… we will sail on albeit in separate boats. Life is good… -Rebecca
Hey Kids... kudos to you both for pushing through an not being afraid to be who you are, and to be true to that.
Thank you Priscilla. Appreciate your input. Keep well...Mike
Yea I think we are likely bonded for life even if on separate sailboats! -Rebecca
All the best Michael, you're seem like a good friend.
He IS a good friend all the way around.
Good luck and may your new paths rise up to meet you with good winds at your back and the North Star guide you safely home.....till next time.🙏
Ah Denise such a heartfelt and kind comment. Thanks for feeling the pain and the happiness along with us.
Great video Michael! I hope to see videos of Amiga Mia and also of Rebecca's life. Its wonderful that you can both appreciate the other still.
Huge love for eachother…we will keep posting sailing adventures between the two boats…Brick House and Amiga Mia
Serendipity. Good on you Michael. You’ve got a boat that fits you perfectly. Happy sailing!
Yes he does have a great sailboat!
I wish the very best for both of you. Life is a bittersweet symphony for sure but its the journey that weaves our tapestry. I hope to see you both in your future adventures.
Thank you…we will both keep having sailing adventures…so please keep watching for more sailing adventures.
Definitely want more stories from both of you!
We will try.
Wonders never cease ! Rebecca's beautiful smile back again, A new adventure for you, and the suprise of your seporating once again. Cheers Mates!
I know hah?
It's beautiful you both have shared your lives and appreciate the candidness you both share. Life truly is and adventure inside and out. Both of you please continue to vlog even if its only for yourselves but I think you guys each have alot to share with the world. Cheers!
The truth is all there is..and we want to always be truthful in our videos together and now apart.
Two wonderful people, thank you for sharing your life together story.
Thanks Eddie! Really appreciate your kind words and support! Mike
Thanks and now we will share our story apart…
It is what it is. Paths crossed, journeys had and now you both go your own way - friends. Take care.
Yes it was an adventurous couple of years sailing together… we will always care about eachother…
Great video Michael, looking forward to your adventures on amiga mia and Rebecca's on Brick house
Thanks for watching..
Thank you Cristina!
Would love to see what adventures await you both as you go your separate ways. May your journeys ahead be good to both of you❤
Thank you! Much appreciated. Mike
We will both continue sailing and making these sailing videos..thanks for watching…
I've been watching for awhile but never commented, you are both beautiful people who deserve all your heart's desire. Fair winds and following seas. Looking forward to following you both.
Thanks Keith. We just sail on and do our best…
Thank you. I’ve lost a sailing partner, yet again, but this time I’m very lucky to have such a good friend on the other end of the telephone.
What a lovely video, life is not easy, you two have been through some tough times and made some difficult decisions, only the best to both of you! Things can only get better.....
Thank you...much appreciated!
Thanks so much!!! Really appreciate your comment!
I would love to see more of Micheals sailing adventures. He is a hell of a good man. I said it before. Cheers from SV Philiosophy Ambon Indonesia
Thanks Kim....much appreciated! Stay well...Mike
Michael Hayward is among the best of men…that’s for sure -Rebecca
Very emotional video. I wish him well in his new venture and of course Rebecca I wish you all the happiness you deserve.
Hopefully you will find a new crew mate soon and continue your journey . I look forward to your next video from Brickhouse . 😊
Ah thanks so much..My sailing adventures WILL continue!
That was really well done, way more of an explanation than you needed to say, but also very kind and respectful to each other 👍🏼
I'd love to see more of Michael's adventures on Amiga Mia, but probably that would be better on Michael's own seperate channel, as I also wouldn't want to miss out on Rebecca's adventures on Brick House, I'll wish you both the best and fair winds, following seas and a happy long friendship 🤞🏻
Thank you Dave....then its definitely good I used my cut tool quite liberally!
Thanks Dave… twice the number of boats, twice the adventures and twice the videos?
Michael should start his own TH-cam channel. We'll all watch!
Absolutely!
I would love to see more of what happens with both of you. Great boat Michael!!
I think we will probably share the channel and show you both of our sailing adventures and sailing lives assuming we both sail onwards!
Thank you! She's small, but, I love her!
Love falling Brickhouses adventures and Michaels has became a story teller too! I really hope he does keep sharing his adventure 👍👍
He will..it’s gonna be a great sailing adventure..that’s for sure!
Let me be the first! I don't know that anyone seeing this video will be surprised and, good chance, it will be much the best in the end. It takes a LOT of courage from both of you. Stay strong and at peace!
Thanks yes it does take lots of courage from both of us to sail on… thanks for recognizing that…
Nice video, the Capetonian chap should continue with the you tube video thing, I think he will do well once he gets a few patrons etc on board.
All the best for both of you, on your separate adventures!
For now we are sharing the channel. If you want to support Amigamia over Brick House or vice versa just make a note of it when you join Patreon and it will go to the right person…otherwise we share everything and will continue to do so
Michael, I`m happy for you. It`s so hard to find the right boat for yourself. You were very lucky to find it.
Yes very lucky finding Amiga Mia. She is a great boat!
Well, you gotta do, what ya gotta do. Have followed Brick House for many years. And through some very very hard times. Michael, you were a “God send” for Rebecca. Sorry you both couldn’t make it work in the long run. And yes, I am VERY interested in following you both on your separate journeys. I sailed the Caribbean for about 10 yrs. This S E area is the best best sailing in the Caribbean. And some of the best sailing in the world.
Thanks for keeping on keeping on Fred. We are sad we couldn’t make it work as well.
@@RVLifeNOW Of course. And as you know, I went through loosing my wife/ first mate while cruising to a boat yard trauma. So yes, we do move on. Life moves on. And we have to enjoy the ride!
So good that you remain friends and carry on with your life well done Mike on the video was great safe sailing on your new boat boat.
Amiga Mia is such a great little Bluewater sailboat!
Wishing you both the best. Such synchronicity finding Amiga Mia - I’m looking forward to seeing where your journeys take you next.
Thank you Marybeth.
Yes we will keep posting our sailing adventures here for now
Goodone Michael, you did a good thing there brother. Know this, I will be following your adventures closely...Please do keep the uploads comming Brother. Remember it's better to loved and lost than to have never loved at all. No regrets just time yo move on... You have a follower Brother. Keep em comming.
Better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all. That’s what keeps me going -Rebecca
You look great Rebecca. I'm glad to see you are doing so well. I am looking forward to future videos. Healing is a process not an event.
Yea it sure it. Thanks for watching ;)
Nice video Michael! Nice to see more of Brick house too, looking forward to what comes next for both of you :-)!
Thanks for watching… our sailing and sailing videos will, surely continue!
...I don't have to read the comments, I'm sure my thoughts are like everyone else's... I'm saddened if not a bit shocked...not what I was expecting. Not even close...and yet, and yet it seems rather apropos that Michael would find his new boat so close at hand. Indeed, good things happen to good people... AND, Rebecca is broken no more. Perhaps this is simply the way it was meant to be, the best of outcomes. That said, YES I want to keep following Brickhouse and Rebecca and Michael and his travels as well learning more about the new boat. I LIKE IT! So, I send you both good thoughts from NPT and look forward to what lies ahead.
Thank you for your best wishes David. Mike
We will always be friends and hopefully sail in to many anchorages together, though on different boats.
I am very happy for both of you, hopefully you will continue to have a deep friendship. Parting is never easy, but when you both agree it’s time then the transition should be easier. I am looking forward to both of your adventures. Stay safe and healthy.Fair winds and following seas. ⛵️⛵️⛵️🙏💙💙
Thank you. We will keep sailing, and keep posting sailing videos
Wow, I love this story... Been following Brickhouse for years and your amazing nautical /life journey. I get IT! It was the journey I wanted when I was in younger years ago and it never happened, so I have lived vicariously through you and Rebecca. I will continue to follow.
Oh dear you make me miss the salt air and sea and island culture
Yes sailing is a real privilege that so few have
That’s rough I don’t care what anyone says. I wish you both the very best. I’d like to see you both sailing even if it’s separate. I will watch and support both of your channels. God Bless
Ah thanks so much for watching ;)
I am glad to see videos of both of you , continue the journey and stay the very best of friends. Maybe Michael can start his own channel. Stay safe and fair seas and may your weather window always stay open. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH.
Thanks so much. we will keep sailing and posting ;)
I’ve really enjoyed seeing michael come into his own element with the videos, I certainly hope to see him continue to document his adventures
Yea I think he will be
I have to say that you and Michael have been an inspiration to me.I wish you both much happiness and love for your onward journeys .fair winds my friends and keep the videos going.,😘
Thanks,,,sailing videos from two boats, coming up…
Micheal you totally need to have a channel. Love your filming on this episode!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
He does. But it’s a LOT of work aside from he filming and even aside from the editing :) Probably combine the boats here.
It Is hard to see your breakup but your care for each other is commendable.
Thanks Nick...my pov in life, nothing else really matters! Mike
Thank you -Rebecca
Congrats to you both for remaining best friends. Definitely would like to keep up with you both on different channels. Both of you remain inspirational.
Thanks you guys. Yeah we will be friends forever I think!
Such a classy breakup. You’re both a great example. All the best to Michael and his new adventure.
Thanks. We try…
Thank you Lydia....we appreciate the support and well wishes from you all!
You will be fine. What an accomplished person you are. Strong sailor and great technical nav technician. Quite an awar winning combo, I would say. To say Goodbye to Michael was pretty tough eh. now sit a spell to relax. Not relaxing your body so much as relaxing your heart and feelings. Take some time to unwind. What a beautiful Lady you are.
Thanks so much Robin… I’m gonna keep sailing because that’s what I do.
Well dang this sucks. I will say Rebecca finds some great guys. Patrick was awesome, and I come to really really like Michael too. I don't know how much money there is in this youtube stuff, but it would be a real shame to not get a sailing channel of Michael's adventures. He has a god given voice for Narration. I really wish the both of them the very best.
Don, thank you....never really thought I held a candle to Patrick but, hey, I'll take it! Mike
Hey Don… Yeah we think we just gonna post here to save double the work for no money for a while on a new channel . We will both keep posting our adventures here and split the work and the bit of money
Michael of course you hold a candle albeit in a different way… love you both and always will
@@RVLifeNOW That sounds amazing, stay safe!!
