    Systemic Racism, Loneliness, Sadness, Tasteless Food, Bad Weather and Taxes are major factors why immigrants and citizens are leaving Canada in droves. Remember you only have one life to live, make sure you stay wherever you are happy. You can do better outside of North America. You can do better in your country of birth if only you can stop complaining. I Left Canada for good last year and that is the best decision of my life. Canada is extremely stressful and boring for myself and my children. Now they are happier, stronger and more respectful in Africa. There is indeed no place like home. We are now growing our food round the year, raising our animals. My kids are happier and more creative. They always thank me for giving them the chance to experience a different life from that of Canada. They are not missing Canada and anytime I ask them if they want to visit, they are quick to say no. All of them agreed that teachers in Nigeria are way better than their teachers in Canada. It is indeed a big shock.

      The moment I read to half of your comment, I immediately figured out you are my countryman...from the COMPLAIN part I figured it and RESPECTFUL part, I was done and gonna bet anyone and at the end you mentioned it... welcome back home brother, my candid advise is that as an African and being Africans who never always want to forget their roots, EUROPE is the best place to relocate to..... Peace.

      I agree with the teachers and education, when I came to Canada to study it was a walk in the park my knowledge of math, trigonometry, algebra and the capacity to handle stress was way more advanced and skills in physics, anatomy, and logical thinking my teachers developed in me was so helpful. In great part due to the ammount of competition back home and I was also in private school with 4 languages, economics, world history and latin etc.... All that stuff gave me a great advantage, compared to their education system and several of the international students found the same.

      Systemic racism is what made me leave Canada, after 4 years of legal residence/citizenship. Canadians will not accept your friendship, since they feel superior to any new immigrants. In all 4 years I only made 1 Canadian friend! all my friends were newn immigrants like, they also left after I did. They felt lonely and Isolated just like I was.

    I was an immigrant to Canada once. The racism I endured there was so ever present at work, church and other places, that I gave up after the 4th year. Then I left for good. There is no such thing as free health in Canada, it is paid with the exaggerated taxes everybody will be forced to pay, from all directions. The weather is extreme cold, but it was the constant racism from Canadians what made me decide to leave. And... I am white skin, straight hair. Yet, I felt I was always talked down, and no hope to make any Canadian friends, if any (because everybody is busy) other immigrants may be interested in friendship because they feel as lonely, and isolated, as you are, as well.

      The “racism” you face is all in your head. Even a “white” person who moves to another white area (small town) or foreign country faves mistreatment, labelling, and discrimination. Even within African or Asian or any country with the same “race” face discrimination. You didn’t face racism in Canada. You faced reality where people who you didn’t grow up with don’t cuddle or worship you based on the colour of your skin. 🤦‍♂️My goodness the ignorance

    • @alfern1770
      @alfern1770 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ML-ov7wo Nope. The ignorant is you, who cannot see further than your nose. Not allowing to work immigrants with long experience in their careers, in their fields of knowledge, just because they have not worked in Canada before, *IS RACISM PLAIN AND CLEAR*. If you cannot see it, maybe you are beyond ignorance, but rather just stupidity.

      You cannot expect to go to any foreign country and be treated like you belong. Plus black immigrants (Caribbean, Africans, etc) ALWAYS do the exact same thing and usually fail. You arrive and try to just work your way through your challenges. You'll never get ahead that way. You have to work together and stop looking for fairness or white hospitality.

    • @ML-ov7wo
      @ML-ov7wo ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Canada isn’t a white country anymore. You can blame it on racism anymore. If you went to Japan you’d be treated even more like you don’t belong. Anyone going to a country that is different than where they grew up will face mistreatment at some level. Canadians who are labelled as “white” and indoctrinated to self hate. So stop with the BS about racism and grow up already.

    I find Vancouver to be hostile. Rent are expensive and overrated (I am in fact Belgian and grew up in France just to give you some context); buying a house is an “insult” (this is why I plan to buy in Europe instead as it is 2-3 times cheaper if I buy in some towns in France or Belgium) and many people in Vancouver seem to be unhappy and frustrated by where their lives has taken them! In regards to the girls here, I found them to be “nice” but in fact, they are just nice on the surface only (if I have to compare it to my experience of girls in France or Belgium). In Vancouver, most girls are very “money oriented” (yes and many of them date “sugar daddies but that is not known outside Canada, right?) and so many look for financial security in a partner than a sane relationship! I am not astonished to see why so many end up being unhappy, depressed suffering in their relationship and above all… end up being alone (and end up using dildos) and regretting their lives years later! After having lived in this place for 8 years (a place which I would leave behind soon hopefully as we are heading back to Europe soon), I am so glad to leave this place for good! Many relationships here are fake and superficial (compared to Europe) And it is a city where sooooo many girls (they pretend they are not) are sooo lonely.. now I am ni longer astonished why dildos sell so well!!! This is why so many (people and Vancouver girls) Here smoke pits and end up being depressed or having lots of mental disorders! Now on top of that, I hate their hospitals where you have to wait for everything (in Belgium that has never existed), and dislike those fake social interactions that many think it is worth something when in fact, it is just superficial-ness, illusion and coldness. I strong believe that Canada is “worth it” but providing that you are thinking of it as a place to pass by, not retire or immigrate for ever!
    Just have a look at the Canadian healthcare system and how bad it is!

    In 2005 I wrote a (somewhat) famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. I was ahead of my time. The government essentially made me unemployable in the country. So I left and worked in the United States until 2014. I now permanently live in the Philippines. I would never go back to Canada for any reason: not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. In the last ten (10) years Canada has gone completely down the drain and is currently a North Korea style dictatorship. No freedom, too expensive, very high income tax . . . too depressing. I am happy here in Asia, with much friendlier people.

    As a European, I find The issue with Vancouver (and Canada are the following):
    1.it has become so much expensive while the salaries are so-so
    2. More and more people are becoming like robots
    3. Talking to strangers is not normal!!! For me coming from Europe (Belgium), this is very strange!!!!
    4. Public transport suck!!!! (It is only good enough for people who have never left Canada)
    5. The healthcare service is better than the US but is a disaster when compared to Europe… and even to some African countries (I have worked in west Africa for the French goblin the past and believe me…. There u can have access to doctors on the spot.. no wait, no stupid triage systems!!)
    6. If you have a kid with a special need (like a daughter of my colleague at work), a city like Vancouver has just 2 or ..3. Schools for special need children!!! My colleague told me both of those schools love money sooo much and quality services are far from their priority!!! But yes, Vancouver, a big city has just 2’of them!!’ How stupid is that!
    7. Girls are interested for most of them!
    8. People have been raised to get INDEBTED and they are taught to spend, SPEND and Spend!!! The whole North American system is based on debt and banks get rich out of people being in debt!!! I am such in a hurry to fly back to Europe!!!
    9. Unlike Europeans, North Americans and Canadians are taught to be productive, work more and not complain (unlike us Belgians or french). This has made Canadians frustrated in the inside and this frustration comes out under things like abusive language, abusive driving, binge drinking, abusing drugs and even …. Terrible behaviour that are not worth mentioning here as they are terrible to be stated for a country that claims itself to be part of G7!
    10. Pensions are soooo low compared to Belgium or Germany and even if you have RRSP, chances are you won’t save much anyway and cost of living will always be increasing!!!
    11. People are so lonely and have issues making friends!!! Result: many Canadians are depressed!
    12. My project: leave Canada as soon as I can as staying here in this strange place is just … a trap!

    Gal has it nailed! My family has been in the Ottawa Valley (originally from Ireland) since 1825. I've watched this place turn more into a Welfare/Nanny-state since 1964. Taxes are too high so there is a Thriving cash underground that is constant. Voters (western countries) now think that wage disparity is more important than "risk/reward". 62% of Americans want to start a business compared to 25% of Canadians. . . THIS should give an understanding on where the Canadian mindset is about Taxing the hand that feeds you. The cold weather just makes you stronger and indifferent about it. I applaud immigrants that come here to start businesses and families. Good video.

    You are not kidding. The "unofficial" tax rate is 35% on earnings and 200% on energy. Nobody has any chance of getting ahead. You may survive, but you will be miserable. Also your story about racism may be true if the owner is over 80. Most of the jobs here are taking care of the extremely old folks that have lost their mind, but to be honest it is rare for anyone else. On the other side I heard of a landlord who had a rental on the 33rd floor that the family in it planted a garden in the bedroom and flooded the entire building. That "custom" may drive some jadedness, no question

    Everyone will have their own personal experiences, roads and outcomes but if people ask me I tell them Canada is not a good place to immigrate to in 2022. One of the reasons for the loneliness is that Canada is a kind of 'work camp' and everyone is only thinking about jobs, not losing their job, earning money, getting extra hours and where they are going to live if they can get an extra job. So consequently, its very rare any Canadian people have the same free time at the same time to get together. Anyway, it's good to let people know there are reasons to NOT try and move to Canada at the moment.

    Family settled Vancouver arriving in 1891. I have travelled extensively. Canada is a horrid place to live now. Selfish, arrogant, ever polite sheep like people. High debt, high taxes, brainwashing Big Papa Govt. No culture. Feminized men, and masculine women. Rude co-workers. Petty and selfish. After five years here in Canada you will be able to count true friends on one finger. I spent the last 12 years working in Haiti, volunteering. Lots of rain in April, and it gradually gets warmer. Warmest time is mid-June to late August (summers DO get very hot here - average high probably 30 degrees Celsius). Sept, Oct, November getting chillier, but a lovely time of year. But the further north you go, yes, longer winters, shorter summers, for sure.

    Hmm..Canada needs immigrants and still cost of living is so high i dont find any logic to this.

      It is United Nations and George Soros who claim Canada needs more immigrants. The Canadian Government signed contracts to accept millions of people from all over the world. The reality is 10M jobs in North America will be replaced with AI...soon.

    I love this country but I'm getting constantly more concerned because Trudeau is screwing it up, I left home because of corruption but the corruption is rapidly sipping into this government. I want to remain in here I have a lot of friends and a comunity, the only thing that is worrisome is the corruption that is festering in the government which may destroy it. I pray that the country does not rot as my home country did.

      @@AkotTV1 and the only time I saw this country in such bad posture was at that time when I arrived. But then I was a student on a grant and didn't care too much, though I could see people around me crushed by the economic situation. Plus at that time there was still an independent press in Canada whose work helped correct the situation within a couple of years, but now this is no longer the case they are owned by the federal government. I don't see much hope and I am too old to take a chance on waiting, when I have better options.
