You actually can roll off a platform into a jump for some extra air with Diddy Kong. Just gotta do it at the lip of the ledge.
I know but the problem is I suck really bad at it so I don't bother with it much. I think if I keep replaying though it'll build my confidence up a bit and maybe I can get the hang of it
