    Śrī-vidya is the devotional worship of the Supreme Mother, Ambāl. According to the Vedic scripture Śrī Tripurārahasya, the Śrī-vidya or ṣoḍaśī-vidya was first taught in Satya-Yuga by Lord Hayagrīva to Agastya and his wife Lopamudra. Again in Treta-yuga it was given to Lord Paraśurāma by Dattātreya, the combined incarnation of Brahmā, Viṣṇu and Maheśvara, considered the greatest incarnation. Lord Paraśurāma gave it to his disciples; thus it has been passed down to the present day. Many scriptures proclaim that worship of Mahāṣoḍaśī-mantra is the only one which grants the sādhaka both material and spiritual benefits.
    Bījas
    auṁ śrīṁ hrīṁ klīṁ aiṁ sauḥ
    (auṁ) hrīṁ śrīṁ
    ka e ī la hrīṁ
    ha sa ka ha la hrīṁ
    sa ka la hrīṁ
    sauḥ aiṁ klīṁ hrīṁ śrīṁ
    Mahāṣoḍaśī-mantra is composed of bījas. Bīja means seed-sound. A bīja can be a single Sanskrit character, but more often it is a combination of characters. For example, the bīja sa is a single character, while the bīja hṛīṃ is a combination of several characters.
    Each Sanskrit character has a meaning. For example a, the first letter in Sanskrit alphabet, conveys many things. It is the origin of auṁ; it also means unification, non-destruction, etc. Similarly, the meaning of the bījas depends mostly on the context in which they are used.
    Ma (म) is also known as Nāda, which refers to Parāśakti. By ending the bījas with मँ (maṁ) they are energized, and the effect is made permanent. Regular recitation of bījas modifies the energy level of the chakras. This practice is known as mantra-sādhana, which forms the most important part of Śakti worship. For optimal effect on the energy level of the chakras, bījas are arranged in a particular order; each mantra is formed from a series of bījas. Thus a mantra becomes potent and effective only if all its bījas are understood and recited properly.

    Thankyou Guruji.. I absolutely love your energy and enthusiasm for sharing such life (lives) saving information.
    P.s. I have a similar past with failed root canal, infection spreading to jaw bone and ear but got cured on time. Then couple of years later, I had a spiritual experience concentrating on Agnya chakra and in my deep meditation i saw lit up Shiv lingam in the center of my head. Since then my life has been in search of the ultimate truth. Approx 18 years later and being mother of two young children myself, I am on the path of Ambaal to realize my spirit. Thankyou for sharing. May the Mother bless you immensely. 💜

    • @ConsciousnessRC
      @ConsciousnessRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      not at all
      the ontology of consciousness presented in _Māṇḍūkya_ and other _Upaniṣads_ subsumes and includes such divergent views in its four categories of _jagrat_ (waking), _svapna_ (dreaming), _suṣupti_ (deep sleep) and _turīya_ (transcendental) consciousness.
      due to the relative relationships of the different states of consciousness, views that appear true in one state of consciousness may appear as illusion in others. thus Śaṅkarācārya’s _kevalādvaita_ completely explains all apparently divergent views as consequences of one’s realization of consciousness.

    Dear sir, aside from this technique, in general chanting of this mantra we should focus on which chakra? Ajna?

    • @ConsciousnessRC
      @ConsciousnessRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      This series is classified as Vivartha-vāda | Rāja-yoga | Suśupti | Viśuddhi-cakra. Although it is a _mantra_ addressing the Divine Mother, it belongs in _vivartha-vāda_ rather than _viśiṣṭādvaita-vāda_ because of its meditative effects. Proper chanting of this _mantra_ will induce Mother to bring one to the feet of Śiva. In other words, it has the power to bestow realization of Brahman. But because it is a _mantra_ and not exactly meditation, it belongs to _visuddhi-cakra_ rather than _ājñā-cakra._ Before chanting it you should apply for _siddha-mantra_ initiation, because your _ātmā-bīja_ is given in that initiation, and that is required for successful chanting of Mahāṣoḍaśi-mantra.

      All proper Vaidik _mantras_ begin *-and end-* with 🕉 because 🕉 signifies Brahman, the goal. Also, _oṁ_ and _āūṁ_ 🕉 are different _bījas_ with different pronunciations and meanings. People use them interchangeably but that’s incorrect.

  • @leukos3253

    Hello dear Sir, I have a question for you. I see by watching your playlist that it is not suggested to recite the Mahāṣoḍaśī mantra without proper initiation, curse removal mantra and preliminary mantra practice. But what about 'involuntary' recitation? I do sometimes experience spontaneous recall of the mantra or fragments of it out of my conscious volition, it just comes to my mind on its own and regardless of context I'm experiencing, sometimes multiple times a day. It seems to me it just got stuck there since the first times I've heard it, as if it was a song. My question is: should I put conscious effort into removing it from my mind as in stopping it when it comes or just allow it to be as it is? Thank you.

    • @ConsciousnessRC
      @ConsciousnessRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Namaste Leukos 🙏 you’re fortunate to be spontaneously attracted to _Mahāṣoḍaśī-mantra._ Of course it’s always best to approach a _guru_ for proper initiation in any powerful _mantra._ In the case of _Mahāṣoḍaśī-mantra,_ it’s even more important because of the _ātmā-bīja,_ the first _bīja_ in the second line. My _mantra-guru_ Santosh once told me, “Chanting the wrong _ātmā-bīja_ can ruin your spiritual life.” So it’s better to approach him for initiation with the proper _ātmā-bīja,_ and in the meantime just chant _āūṁ_ at the beginning of the second line: _āūṁ hrīṁ śrīṁ._

    • @ConsciousnessRC
      @ConsciousnessRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      There are innumerable _nāmas, mantras_ and _bījas_ used by different schools and lineages. All are effective to various degrees. It depends more on your sincerity and attitude than the specific forms. If you approach the Universal Mother with love, just like your own Mother (because She *is* literally your Mother) She will certainly respond. For example, the author of _Śrī Tripurā-Rahasya_ attained his exalted status as a sick child, simply chanting _“ai, ai”_ calling his mother. As a result, in his next life he received so many blessings and fame.

Any Goddess _mantra_ will cause physical changes, such as good health, good luck, protection from harm, happiness, wealth, etc. She is our Mother, after all.
