I can see you have done this before as you have made connection to disconnect the element wires. Good job, I have just done mine its the same model.

This was my second air fryer th-cam.com/users/postUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB . The last one worked fine but was large and a bit loud. This one is outstanding. It is smaller overall but still has plenty of capacity. It crisps the food better. You don't get one side soggy if you forget to turn it over. It is pretty quiet, easy to use, easy to clean, and works great. It chimes to alert you to functions, like when to turn over food that benefits from that. The automatic pre-heat is great. The display is large and easy to read, the light inside is actually useful. The window is worth the extra $10. It looks good sitting out on my counter. I haven't been this happy with an appliance for a long time. Good value for money.

I have Phillips Airfryer too, I want to clean it inside and rinse it but it's difficult without doing the Disassemble and this video is very helpful. I believe this is a strategy by Phillips for planned obsolescence, creating a product problem with a design flaw.

Hey! Good video, thanks for sharing! It helped me to disassemble mine, what is a similar airfryer form Philips. Footnote: You've forgot to mention, that you've cut the red wires which are connected to the heating element. I decided not to cut those, but rather cut the metal plate behind the heating element, so next time it will be easier to remove the heating element.

Update: I take it back. I was finally able to remove the "dial" and basically you have to use a flat head to expand the space from top to bottom on the plastic rim AROUND the "dial", so do not try to pop the "dial" itself and DO NOT start from the bottom. The "dial area" will pop off exposing one screw, which finally lets you remove the top. Almost everything else is similar; but a few differences, like the fan which does not have a washer underneath but some sort of half moon expander with the washer on top. Some close ups would have been better, but otherwise I was abe to use this video to figure out the few differences with my model. I broke 3 inner tabs on the top layer, but I just "crazy glued" the tab pieces back; since they broke clean as I popped slowly. Anyone else trying this, try to use a flashlight to see underneath and use a hook tool to push in the tab outwards (impossible?); otherwise just pop up slowly with a flat head until it gives, which might break 1 to 3 out of 7, but at least it is "clean".
Another HUGE warning, but take a photo of the wiring before you start to disconnect; because my colors were different and you will find later that you have multiple whites and multiple blues with the red and brown splitting off. I guess you could find a wiring diagram somewhere; but photo or video a careful mapping of the wires and what they connect to; otherwise your deep clean was for nothing, as it will blow up when you plug it in, haha...
I did not bother creating a video and final Screw count:
    9 bottom,
    3 inner bottom,
    4 top,
    7 outer top,
    7 inner top,
    3 inner dish,
    6 outer dish.
Basically, a crap load of screws of different sizes, so take your own pictures and video; which I did, but nothing like this gentleman. Thanks for the inspiration and now my Air Fryer is almost like new after a deep clean...
Good Video. Unfortunately, this disassembly does not match for the Philips "Avance Collection" HD9641/56 model, so still trying to figure out how to remove the "dial" in front without breaking the whole top panel. There are two screws underneath; but they do not release the "dial". Furthermore, the top panel can be removed; but if you "pop" it up, then it will break the plastic tabs holding it in. You have to know exactly where the THREE tabs are claimping and somehow wedge a flat head underneath to push them in; so I already broke the tabs although it is not critical for holding that top panel in. Make sure to include your Model No. in your Title or Description; because they are not al the same unfortunately... 🤕

Hey man, great job you did there. This encouraged me to disassemble mine (Airfryer XL) but putting it back together I seem to have left one piece out. It's a black plastic rod with a knob in the middle (not right in the middle, closer to one end), with a little spring that sits on the knob. I think it fell off right after I flipped the heavy part with all the circuitry on it. If I am not wrong, the same piece is sitting in the back next to this orange-black screwdriver around 01:55. But I couldn't find the section you removed or attached it back to the airfryer. Can you point me into the right direction :) Thanks

Buradan cihaz sahiplerine sesleniyorum. Kesinlikle rezistans(ısıtıcı eleman) kısmına el bile sürmeyin. Philips airfryer ın yağ engelleme aparatı varmış ekstradan satılan onu alın. Şu an ağıtlar yakıyor methiyeler diziyorum. My XXL developed a fault, still under extended warranty, but they refused to fix it citing that had not been cleaned. It DEFINITELY HAD been cleaned, but it is impossible to clean inside all the finnicky parts around the heating element as you have pointed out at the start of the video. To me this is a design flaw. You are right to want to clean the unit, but it should not require this amount of disassembly to clean properly.
This is an excellent disassembly video in order to clean the unit, but the critical part is the cleaning and none of that is on the video. Once you took the element and the element holder and the circulation fan out from the unit... what was your method of cleaning??

Just clean and rinse the bowl area and remove all oils from the last cooking it would be sufficient reduce the smoke. If it is causing by what it is believed like this video the top area needs to be clean every cook and that sounds terrific regarding maintenance.

Upss.. it's just turbo fan n spiral resistance.... i think 1600 or 2000 W power cons.. not worth..

2000w spiral, fan few buttons and plastic totally not worth it... I was expecting at least easier cleaning access.. but it is what is... can't change it..

Phillips you made it so easy to clean. Not !!! Why not make it easy ready to clean from factory not all this screwing around to unsafe if you lost a few screw or broke internals.

I was able to remove the top cover very easily right after cooking when the plastic was warm. I will work on the rest soon 😂😂😂 I am afraid I won't be able to put all pieces back in place.

Not many pieces mate, only to look for door switch when assembleing at.

I have the same Air Fryer as ZLAT and it is great, but Philips need to improve the design around the element and metal backing plate that gets extremely dirty. For eg. a slide out tray above the element that is easy to clean and would reduce the amount work required to clean the Airfryer. Change the design so you can open the Airfryer up in half and the element is accessible. Just my two cents haha

      Airfryer is $650 AUD
I need 200 000 more like you to pay it of..
Ye mate I agree, I think its too much money for plastic, heating element and fan...

Not as bad as I thought, definitely more approachable than a laptop. Reconnecting all the wires correctly will probably be the trickiest part.

    • @helenoboyle8861
      @helenoboyle8861 ปีที่แล้ว +1

That was my first thought: The worst I can do is miss a part or connection as I'm putting it back together. Vs. laptop: "I can't get this finicky piece of plastic-tapey material to sit quite right", "I thought these pieces meshed together more closely", "Oh, crap, I didn't put the insulating material between places X and Y." Etc.
