Fine job Chris! Fine little razor you used today. I’m with you on brushes; we have so many fine synthetics at super prices that I’m not using my expense badgers so much anymore. The synthetics lather like crazy, are easy to clean & dry quickly. All the best, thanks. Zac.
I can enjoy a hefty razor and yet appreciate the simplicity of affordable aluminum razors, and it was a learning curve to use light aluminum razors... but I love them now.
@@danielbenson356 Well first of all I think those two colors look awesome! Secondly they have this matte finish on them which is very resistant to finger marks and water stains. I imagine the black one also has the same finish. So go ahead and get that one if it's the color you like. It's all personal preference I guess really.
My Lupo (gold color) arrived yesterday, and cannot wait to have a go with it. If I really like it, I will go on to get the stainless one, though currently out of stock.
@@trueblu8 Chris from Another Cut Above says the same about the Karve aluminum. And the Lupo aluminum is just $30! Definitely a budget-friendly razor. And I couldn't be happier with Italian Barber's Razorock Game Changer. Another terrific value 👍
While I don't have the aluminum Lupo, I do own the SS Lupo. It has catapulted itself to the top of my favorite DE razors list...and I own quite a few high-end razors (Rex Ambassador, Paradigm Ti, ATT S1, Charcoal Goods SS, Karve SS, etc). Fantastic razor if you can manage to get your hands on one.
@@andyhedin4893 I had an ss lupo and traded it for a ss colonial general. I just liked the feel of the aluminum lupo so much better. Also the ss lupo has some weird finish on it that takes water marks.
@@kekkonenlind1599 Ahh. Both are great razors. The Rockwell has 6 plate options so it's a little more versatile. The Lupo might be slightly more efficient. Both are great:)

Hi Chris thx for the video, never tried a alu DE but this one looks a good one to start with got the SS Lupo 72 & 95 which I really enjoy any idea about the blade gap on this thx ✌
This looks good...I don't care for yaqi albeit I don't consider Italian barber aka razorock anything like them...I liked the tribute r41 plus from global shave club yet I don't think it's an exact copy...this may not be an exact copy. The aluminum Lupo looks great, and would help one decide if they want the stainless steel Lupo.
I like the stainless Raul:) It was modeled in some ways after the wolfman but I don't think they are very similar at all. it was definitely not a copy:)
Hey Chris great to see the lupo in action. Besides the r41 which razors do you think are aggressive? My daily driver is a slim on 9 so looking for similar stuff.
Hey Sir. I cannot tell you which razor will be better for you but I can tell you what I prefer. If you're looking for a low cost aluminum razor the Lupo is a nice choice. If you want to spend a little more and get a more refined razor, the Timeless Aluminum is really nice as well. The Rockwell 6S is great and versatile all around. If I were picking only one of these I'd probably go with the 6S as it will give you 6 shave settings to try.
Thanks for the reply! I already have rockvel 6c and 6s razors, there are my favorites so far, I was looking to get something different. What is timeless aggression/efficiency compared to 6s?@@IAMCDB
Chris, RazoRock makes another mild, aluminum razor they call their "Baby Smooth." I like both. It takes a bit of practice to get the hang of using them because they're so light, you can't rely on their weight alone to apply that tiny amount of pressure necessary to remove whiskers. So you need to apply it with your muscles, but there's a tendency to apply too much.
No question, Lupo is my favorite razor from the first stroke many months ago, I rarely reach for anything else.

Nice Raul. I'm so glad you enjoy them sir.
Love this razor. Absolutely amazing.
I own the lupo in silver, and it’s one of my favorite razors. The black one looks nice, too. Maybe I should get one of those, as well.
The silver and gold lupo's are the best imo.
Why do you say that the gold and silver are the best colors of the lupo?

why smear the whole face when it grows only under the nose. it's a shame 😂😂😂😂😂
It's pronounced "La Toha"...but you don't need a shave.
