That's a great aspect that both communities share. You're always stoked to see your buddy do the crux of a new climbing problem or to land a new parkour line.
@@ShakespeareanBroncobuster I'm not sure a lot of storror has the arm and finger strength for climbing either. But thats the fun part. Pete, Magnus and Anton vs 3 storror members!
When ever I see Pete doing the challenge im like, that looks easy, then I see toby trying and its like ah right people actually have weight. Pete looks like he's made of air when he crack climbs
I actually thought the opposite! Maybe because I don't watch climbing videos and I'm weak as shit but all the climbing stuff looks hard af. The parkour stuff does look easy until Pete tries it but I've seen the Storror boys do them 100 times so that's probably why
@@Michael-dj6pd Yeah thats one thing I don't like about parkour, needless risk. Also, mos of the time when they do the rooftop videos the jumps are actually much shorter and the tricks are generally easier since it's obviously much riskier
I've been climbing for some years and there is no way in hell I could do a switch on a off-width roof just like that. Truly amazing. And though I'm not a Parkour connoisseur, my guess is it takes most people more than a few tries to run across a wall. Gotta remember Pete is not a dynamic climber, yeah, right... Loved this series, looking forward to see more.
I've played around with parkour and I don't think most people would nail the challenges in a day, certainly you wouldn't do them if you didn't have Toby there showing you how it is done/giving advice. Would love to go try em, I can't hold things like either of these guys, but I think I can jump at least as well as Pete haha
This series brings so much I love together. Also the fact although it’s a competition it’s all about wanting each other to succeed, which I think climbing and parkour are some of the few sports where that mindset exists. I could watch these all the time. I’d love to see Toby get some outdoor bouldering in just to see how transferable his strength is. Or Stanage or some good trad grit climbing.
Not into parkour or climbing, but this was a really great video which made me want to watch until the end. The whole vibe and both wanting each other to succeed was such a positive thing.

It a credit to how well Toby picked up the climbing skills if you go back and compare his effort to that of when Magnus came to the cellar fair play to both Pete and Toby. Great series of videos thoroughly enjoyed them all!!
@@hazelsegnitz3254 I travelled in the opposite direction, from World Chase Tag to parkour to Toby Segar's other activities (e.g. Ninja Warrior) to climbing.
@@qwertyTRiG found Storror a few years back , must have watched out of curiosity and I hate heights🤣 it ‘s surprising what you end up watching from one channel ! 🤣
I suspect the indoor crack stuff was filmed all in one go, and then the outside Parkour stuff, and they just had to remember and act like they went back and forth. 🎥
That was ace, Toby is becoming a really decent climber and having watched my son learning Parkour I know those moves are a lotttt harder than they look, well played Pete & Toby.
Last challenge was such a cool set by Toby, such a comp boulder start in an urban setting. Also, crazy props to Pete for sticking the rail precision - hope we get a rematch in 2022!
I absolutely love these cross overs, between parkour and crack climbing! The future generations of climbers and parkour enthusiasts that Storror and Wide Boyz are inspiring are going to be some next level stuff... Well done guys!
I was happy to see it as a tie. It’s possible that they had some additional challenges that didn’t make the video, but I’m glad that it was presented this way. You don’t need a winner in a healthy competition that helps each other improve.
10:38: "That whole, 'run around thing'", legit has to be the common vernacular among traditional climbers for Parkour. Good video/challenges, really shows how slim the numerous overlaps are between the two sports.
Found wide boyz through this collaboration and have really fallen in love with what you guys do since then. I’ve nearly finished your back log, and can’t wait to stream your new bridge movie on reel rock!
I know this was probably filmed a little while ago, but these crossover challenges a super cool. I'd love a few vids that really delve into the specific technique and strength similarities and differences for these two disciplines. the real dream is to have Tomoa do a proper parkour training series.
It's an interesting comparison of the two sports - with climbing, there's a huge ramp-up in technicality and muscle conditioning required for challenges, which made challenge 2 impossible for Toby, while in parkour it's more a matter of prep work, repetition, and technique for most challenges, which made flashing a challenge impossible for Pete. They're each difficult for different reasons, but the crossover means you could each do it if you stuck with it. Really awesome stuff.
I hate seeing Toby struggling, knowing full well what an absolute beast he is!! No doubt he'll have taken a lot away from this to further improve his physical abilities! Love the video, need more!
Given that Toby struggled to complete the first crack challenge and failed on the second one actually shows how difficult they must be. Great video, loved the energy ✌
Bring on the whole storror team on one of you do the parkor challenge and other does the climbing. Both sports are so simular it's cool to see the skills work for both
Great collab lads! It's cool to see the interplay between two movement sports from two respective experts! Looking forward to more interesting collabs.
It's really cool how such similar sports have different ways of applying the same muscles. For example, parkour is all about short instantaneous bursts of power, and rock climbing is all about a constant slow draining of power!
What I really like about Pete is that he's super competitive, but also has this genuine desire for his opponent to succeed. So wholesome! Love this channel
i was really surprised about the level of the parkour challenges. i mean i know that toby boulders quite a lot so hes at least familiar, but that rail pre is no joke for a beginner

Loved this little mini series, great chemistry with Toby as well Would love to see you do a snake involving at least 3 people as far through the cellar as possible…..someone falls and a full reset…maybe add checkpoints for an easier option
The thing I love about this comparison is that Parkour moves are over in a split second and climbing moves take several minutes - but both require about the same level of skill and precision.
As someone who's been training parkour way longer than climbing, I thought I'd be rooting more for Toby but was surprised to be rooting for them both equally. Was always so hyped when I could tell that Pete was about to get the stick or the line!
