Agreed. The eye of a storm is deceptively calm. I've been in a few storms and hurricanes at sea. Waves were cresting higher than our bridge, which was 90 feet above the water line, in two of the hurricanes, and the eye is really eerie. It's as if the weather is suddenly turned off, and all that you're left with is the swell. Then you hit the wall again, and it's not pleasant.

I hate the naming of storms. spoils every storm we have now, over exposure from Met Office and news broadcasts, really has taken the fun out of the seasons.
