Hey Ryan, I was always hoping that you might consider drama again. I got to see you in the lead role twice while you were in college, and you were fantastic.. Keep it up. Luv,Pops

Thank you my friend and yes, if it develops dramatically in the future I'll definitely be back to share what happens. All the best with your new life and hope you meet some great people.

That’s neat that you found a performing arts group to join. It’s awesome how involved you are in your community 😃
Your story telling is top tier. I really didn’t think a compromise would be met. I’m happy to hear the founder was willing to hear everyone out. I hope the trial run goes well 🤞

Yes, it's been an interesting adventure with my various communities here in Kaohsiung and I'm trying to find the right way to share some of these experiences. Thank you so much for watching and your wonderful comments Diana. Hope you are having a great finish to the work week. Until next time Sis :)

Hey, Ryan. I am a long time fan of yours and your videos. Thanks for your amazing videos. I have been wanting to make the jump to teach in Taiwan for a while now and your videos have been very helpful. I have a question regarding lesson planning for you. Is lesson planning very time consuming when you are teaching in a public school in Taiwan? How many hours per day do you spend lesson planning? I teach biology here in America and the lesson planning is crazy. I am spending 3-4 hours per day lesson planning and marking tests/quizzes. That is the reason so many teachers are leaving the profession here in America. Thank you in advance for your answer.

Hi Amy, so nice to hear from you and to get an idea of what teachers are going through stateside. The amount of time devoted to lesson planning varies from teacher to teacher. Last year I worked with several foreign English teachers that were constantly busy designing PPTs and correcting worksheets while I was often taking a nap or making videos for this channel. Different styles. My approach is that I want ZERO quizzes or worksheets to correct so I simply don't use them. I probably spend an average of 30 minutes to an hour per day planning as I prefer to go into each class with an idea of what I'm going to do but without it being fleshed out (allowing me to improvise). I do sometimes spend an arduous amount of time on a PPT (maybe once a semester) that may or may not pay off but have found that my students and I have the most fun by the spontaneity of the moment.

Good story Ryan😂 Do you have a good website or TH-cam page for improv games for English as a second language?

Hi Ben, yes I do. I like to use Improv Encyclopedia (website) to browse through the categories of games and read descriptions until I find the one that suits my class. Then I just search for the game on TH-cam and I can usually find a good example. My favorite channel is probably: www.youtube.com/@DramaMenu
