As a massive nerd and aspiring social worker, I can say that your point about play is very true! Playing can be very therapeutic as is the case with anything that allows you to express creativity.
I agree with you 100%. I got into MOC making to make the "sets" that I always wanted to buy. Obviously its nice to see new MEGA sets, but you can still do so much without all the latest stuff. So its amazing to see such a representative showcase from the community, thanks for the video!
Here is what keeps me a Mega fan. 1. My first is the fifth. I love to customize my stuff. I like to get new paints and get rubbing alcohol so I can paint and remove paint. It’s so fun seeing what I can do. 2. My second one is your first. I love playing with mine. The Infinite Scorpion is just so fun to drive across the carpet. And the warthogs? Don’t get me started! They are so fun to bounce up and down. I have made stories with my figures that are too embarrassing to tell anyone about. 3. Taking them apart. Whenever I have my instructions I may take a day to just dismantle them and rebuild them. It’s fun and a good chance to also dust off the pieces that I can’t easily dust. 4. Telling my friends! As you can see by most of my pics on the discord, I take my figures to work. I love showing my friends and coworkers. Even though they don’t understand much of halo they all are very entertained and I got a few of them to start reading halo books and watching the games. 5. My fifth is your second. Posing and display. I love making my figures look cool. 6. Trading. I love to trade with my in person friends! That way we both get stuff we like. :) (Also, sorry for the long post. You don’t have to read it all. And a thing I didn’t mention is how I have started making some MOCs). Also, I will not give up. Missions change, they always do. No matter how much they change you have to finish the mission, even if it’s not the one you set out for.
I got into collecting Mega recently, I've fortunately been able to amass a handful of sets that caught my eye. This video was sweet, I loved every bit of it
Love this video. All your points are great. Just 2 suggestions. I think you mention them indirectly but directly maybe should mention is. Don't let that others may be getting out of the hobby or Halo isn't as popular effect your enjoyment. If you like it then let that be why you collect. Who cares if others are getting out of it. If it gives you joy then continuing having fun with it. The second is the community is great. Most people don't mind helping you track down stuff you may like. Or maybe you have painting questions or photography questions ask the creators. Don't be frustrated when you can get help. I love this community. I have some real friends in this community and am glad to enjoy the hobby with others and seeing the cool things they do. Keep you the good work Zee.
I've been collecting mega since I was very young. I was always more of a Lego kid but watching my dad play halo reach is such a huge part of my childhood and I loved picking up a halo blind bag or two whenever I was shopping with my mum (back when they were actually readily available) . My first figure was an old articulation halo wars marine in green which I lost but I still have my second figure which was the exact same figure but in tan. I kept buying blind bags here and there up until about Charlie series I think. The last set I got from mega as a kid was that warthog with the interchangeable armour with the tan Hermes and war master then that was it. I grew up and had better things to worry about like school, exams and where my life was going. After all that I ended up moving out and living with my partner but once the stress of life and school was over, I guess I could be a kid again if I wanted to and explore all the things that made me feel nostalgic. Up until recently I was collecting Lego for a while which reignited my love of star wars (since they're the best Lego line) and then after moving away from Lego I went back home to visit my parents and everything and found my old mega collection which inspired me to collect properly again. My mum offered to buy me the 20th anniversary pack to start my collection back up and now here I am collecting mega again like I used to. I hope to one day have a room full of baseplate tables so I can display all the figures in a huge battle, probably separating different eras/games (like I'm not gonna put a Promethean knight in the CE display for example) and probably do the same with any Lego I still have. I've missed a lot of sets so I'm trying to get some older sets and add them to my collection and gain an army. Someday I might do photography too since I've always loved photography as a general thing, mostly taking photos of sunsets and sunrises but doing toy photography seems like a fun thing to get into. I strive to gain an army and hopefully display most, if not all of my figures, both old and new articulation, and make amazing scenes
Hey! Thanks man! I'm kind of a Halo newbie, but my Mega Collection is off to a good start! Kinda frustrating I can't get Noble Six yet, buuuuuut, this video has allowed me to keep my inner child. Kinda need that right now, lol! I just managed to find a great deal on the UNSC Razorback, so I'm getting Kelly pretty soon! All that's left is Fred and then I have the entire blue team! 👍🏻 Really that's the goal, because I do want to venture back into stop motion! Thanks for these excellent alternatives!

wanderfull Video... i kinda started with the hobby since my dream is making a lego room with amazing bulds and landscapes, stories/szenarios i can re create on em. Thats how i got to halo mega bloxes.. all the amazing pictures and stop motions , your youtube channal and many others!!! just wanderful , my only problem is that my country doesnt have anything connected to mega blox. so i sturggle to buy figures but! im at 12 rn so im already happy with a small build and i dont plan anytime in the future giving up! ( sorry if my english is bad im german and still learning)
For a earlier collector but an old fan of the Mega franchise, it's pretty difficult for me to continue upgrading my collection. But, for me, Mega have the best toy ever. Very detail, bricks construction, a lot of universe and collab ! But i'm done with all problems to get some sets. I'm paying huge amount to get sets to my country, and that's pretty horrible to find some sets. However, I'm continue my collection as i can, and maybe, finding some cool stuffs in future !
Im not giving up on Halo Megas , but i do scale back on my purchases alot past 6 months or so. Kinda dry when it comes to Shopee, Aliexpress and Lazada, like only sets with no boxes or figures missing pieces of armor and weapons. But that got me into buiding mocs/custom painiting figures alot more
As someone who has been collecting since 2011, I always had my off and on, but I never stopped collecting or quit. Sometimes it’s better to collect something else while still collecting mega.
Mega never made a Titan Fall line, and it would literally destroy bank accounts if they did. I made it my mission to make custom figures. I've been collecting lots of official/custom parts and sacrificing figures to put them together. As an adult with expendable income, this is the most fun I've ever had with Mega.
My problem is painting I keep painting in wrong spots and it comes out all blobby and I can’t make it look real enough :( -also my first animation that were great I accidentally deleted before I could post them :(

Bro, i live in Russia and i have problems even with blind bags. it is hard, but not impossible to find sets here. i think that making mocs would cost like few pelicans because lego does not connect with mega. and mega does not produce many sets with different details. iwish for everyone good prices, no missprints and have fun collecting your favourite figs!
To be honest I started collecting mega in 2014. The reason I started collecting mega was to play with what I got. Time passed and I had less time to play with my figures. So I started taking pictures of them, posing them and sometimes make a little scene of action. Little request if you don’t mind: video of alpha nine 2.0 (drop pods, wombat and new Dare from 20th anniversary pack all together)
People from Europe, How do you get your sets btw? I know mega from back in the day 2009 and got literally the og sets that year. However during the years i find it quite impossible to find newer sets ( i mean post 2014 sets ) and the only ones that i find are from vinted. I live in Spain and you could find Halo sets in stores like ToysRus until like 6 or 7 years ago. Those were the good times. Now it's difficult to find anything but whenever I buy a Halo set I use Amazon. Prizes have gotten crazy since like 2 years ago tho so I rarely buy anthing anymore.
I'm from the Philippines, I had been a Halo Mega Bloks/Construx fan since mid 2019. Since the pandemic sadly most of what I bought I had to buy and rely from ebay or amazon.. which costs a lot from an international buyer. Year 2014-2017, I saw a lot of Mega Bloks/Construx stuff in our local toystores shelves wayback I was just start collecting Lego. But current stores here like ToysRus or Toy Kingdom they don't sell Mega Construx Halos anymore. They supply Barbie, Hotwheels, some MoTU and a little bit of pokemon, but not Halo and other stuff..
Fellow Filipino (Half) here, I share the same situation as you, MEGA no longer sold at any local toystores in my area compared to years ago; I mostly rely buying MEGA stuff from Shopee & Lazada, mostly figures sometimes rarely big sets
@@DemarcationMedia yes, but Filipinos mostly use Lazada and Shopee since those sites sell wide variety of Products at a lower price; so I think some rarely use Amazon, also I don't think Amazon does COD "Cash on Delivery" here in the Philippines that I know of
I'm definitely more into the moc and display side of things. I definitely want to try stop motion some day. I had that same mindset of "well if mega isn't going to make it, I'll do it myself". Hence why I've made Locusts, AA wraith's, Marauder's, a Blisterback, and so much more. Long term I absolutely want to try a Scarab or Beam tower from scratch, but those aspirations are high. Great video my dude. The Mega community definitely needs positivity like this, especially with how hard it is to find sets lately 👍
i like playing and making stopmotion animations and i also like custom painting my weapons i quite scared to do it on figures but my dad paints and plays the game warhammer 40k
You should get some extra figs and just give it a try! If your dad does 40k, I'm sure he could show you some tricks, 40k players are on another level with painting

it's funny actually, I remember bitching on a vid of yours last year about how it was a struggle... but this year I've already cleaned house! hahaha! 😂😂😂 got everything I want, the drop pods, the new blind bags ect... only thing I paid a stupid amount for was the elephant for £240... by the time I was told I could get it for £140 it was too late and the set had shipped... But I'm not mad. Unlike the pelican that's just sat on my shelf since 2020, I think I'll actually muck around with this one a fair bit. nothing against the pelican, but opening it up is a pain in the ass. I love how easy the elephant opens. unlike a lot of people I haven't had any issue with the treds at all. people just need to firmly push down on the thing. Much like the scorpion. Everything else I've either got a good deal or I've managed to pay retail or less. This is from a UK buyer. can't believe the turn around I unashamedly admit to playing with them even though some people have ripped on me for it, but I honestly don't care as I think things they like are dumb as fXXX I'm just more kind and keep my mouth shut. trying to do stop motions but I have no idea what the best free software is and what would be a easy way to start for a beginner. I was gonna use the mega app then find some pc software I could use to edit
Well dang! That's epic! Playing is awesome, regardless of what people say. I would recommend Da Vinci for editing, it's a bit complex at first but the free version is quite robust
Im still a mxc fan cuz ima guy who like to make customs ..its fun ..u dnt have to keep trying to catch up with new figures.. also at the end of the day u made something unique n awesome.. i enjoy looking around fr parts to customize more too than just looking fr a new figure

most times you gotta commission people to paint/build or you can do so yourself. There are some people who 3d print custom armor and pieces so you have more customization, such as LS3D printing on IG or his website I have bought from him and painted my own or I've sent them to some artists cause they paint better lol. Unfortunately there is no way to get a custom from mega specifically
I got Spartan IV battlepack today and reminded me first time I got it. Please never quit you are one of the best with TheDomain and Jangbricks. You inspired me to start photography with lego, cobi and megabloks.
I took the WH40k Kill Team rule set and made rules in that spirit for Halo Mega. Pretty easy to do if anyone wanted to. Makes for a nice tabletop wargame.
Lately I've been watching a lot of Warhammer miniature painting and I decided to just paint and customize the Halo mini figures that I already have. It's so much fun and you have almost unlimited potential to make your own unique army and create your own battles and lore. Maybe in the future I'll build a diorama or make stop motion but it is sad to see that a great line of toys is being mistreated like this.
What is the best mega set to get a good battle as a beginner for example, I want some action between goodies and baddies, and a bit of a vehicle to get started with halo and mega. What is your recommendation?
If you haven't bought ANY Mega before, I would say right now the Razorback would be your best option. It's around $38 right now (it went lower awhile back so you might find lower prices), and you get a Spartan (Kelly), a Marine, a Brute and a Grunt Mule.
Very recently I started painting some touch ups on the figures and I also wanna begin making setpieces out of 3D printing leftovers and cardboard AND I HAVE TO START TAKING PHOTOS FOR REAL
My dream is that Mega evolves the articulation system once more, to be in line with a lot of custom 3d printed parts- particularly, the ankle ball joints. If we had lore accurate heights- spartans with the posable ankles and taller limbs, it’d be sick. Honestly, I think the greatest thing Mega could do is remarket these products but for adults. It’s clear that it’s mostly us adults who are into these products, and honestly, kids lean towards more adult products anyways. If the company took the product more seriously, the vast majority of people would as well. If Mega’s having problems selling things, they should listen to the community and sell what we love- nmpd sets, bring back Halo Wars stuff but revised with the new articulation and bricks, and, fingers crossed, start selling things for the next halo game when more info comes out
I would love more articulation though the current system is pretty solid. I feel like crowd funded sets would do well from Mega if they did things like Halo Wars, NMPD, etc

While I love displaying my stuff as battle scenes, I find myself also in another category not mentioned (although it's extremely niche to be fair). I genuinely like buying and reselling. I'm on several resell sites and forums looking for stuff everyday. If you play your cards right, you can get figures for free or even for a profit, but I also genuinely think it's fun. Nothing like finding a great figure lot after hunting for a bit. Definitely not for everyone, but it's a lot easier to get into reselling than people think. Just make sure to be fair with the prices and don't scalp. We have enough problems with that already.
I have been collecting since 2014 and to think that 10 years later the shelves and online retailers have zero to no sets is crazy. But like everyone else, I'm not giving up and I will patiently wait for a new wave of Mega Halo.

I haven’t seen a Halo set in my state for about a year now. All my stores stopped carrying Halo toys all together and it’s too expensive to pay 3rd party/scalped prices these days
What a time for this video... The Mega Showcase just eneded a few minutes ago and Mega didn't show any new set or even mentioned new Halo sets for 2024... Very disappointed. :/

I stopped buying mega sets a while ago, mostly out of space and that, then the sets either were hard to find or i didnt like them or comming out to fast yet bad distributed I got most of the main characters (except osiris) and then just, stopped buying, im happy with what i have, but day after day, news after news, it just seem that halo as a whole, is getting to an end I will continue to cherish those memories and my figures, but i dont expect anything more

Great video. I think the greatest gift I ever gave myself was not caring what others thought. Do I buy little plastic men in my mid 40's? Yes I do and I love it! I really enjoy the display and posing aspect of this hobby. I want to take more pictures. I am a little scared to get into painting. I mean I guess if I screw it up badly I can just start again. I don't have the patience for stop motion, but I do love watching the films others have made.
Exactly! For painting, just use a figure you don't care about for the start. And I totally get the patience thing, stopmotion requires SO MUCH patience
You don’t have to have new stuff to be a fan but an integral part of collecting is getting new stuff. We complain with hopes that Mega and Mattel will actually listen to their customers and fix their problems. I don’t want to stop collecting but at this rate, I’m starting to lose interest.
Kind of, but also kind of not. Yes Mattel should be listening but also there's a difference between collecting to have the stuff and collecting to enjoy. Casual vs hardcore
@@DemarcationMedia you can collect to have stuff and also enjoy. I have a relatively big Lego 501st clone trooper army. I both enjoyed and hoarded quite a few of those figures from retail sets and through other avenues. It’s essentially the same. Mattel is a billion dollar company, there’s no reason why us customers can’t easily be able to get newly released sets.
There are many reasons why we can't. Remember that the Halo line is a VERY small part of Mattel. They put money and time where there's more money to be had. With the limping, struggling path Halo has had, the money there has been way down, as opposed to their other lines like Hotwheels, Barbie, Pokemon, etc. And not just the Mega aspects, literal Hot Wheels cars, actual Barbie figures, etc. They're juggling a lot and while Mega cares about the Halo line, Mattel cares about the money
Ive been collecting the halo line since its debut back in 2009 and it saddens me so much to see the state it ls in. Nothing in stores, scalped to hell sets. Hardly new things to buy each year and the list goes on. I have so much money, thousnds invested into the sets and while I agree on a lot of what you said the issue I have is it seems the line has taken the back seat for now and Pokemon is the new thing with them, each year, dozens and dozens of new Pokémon sets and almost nothing Halo. Yeah sure, a few sets from the TV show which is widely split between "I like it" and "I hate it" so why was that chosen to make sets of? Because "its the new thing" is a good answer most will have but again, with how widely split the opinions are and if sales are really the issue with the line and why its seems to be dwindling, why was this choice done. They arent bad, I own them all but again, they know a lot of halo fans dislike the show. We use to get waves, dozens of sets every year, exclusives, huge waves man like what happened? Toys r us closing I think is where the cracks began. So while I see more and more Pokémon get revealed and be on store shelves while I go store to store looking for the scraps of Halo sets it just keeps making my view on the line more and more in the dumps. I want to be wrong in my view Halo is on the back burner, I want hope, but at the moment is there any?
Not sure if its ok to say its ok if you can't get the new sets. I mean in every 6 months MEGA HALO only release like only 5 sets more or less including blind bags unlike LEGO that releases 800 or more in a year and then say its ok if you cant get the new sets. New sets is one reason why fans support the franchise because there is always something to look forward to. I mean don't get me wrong I've been supporting the brand since the early 2000's and till today for someone who doesn't play HALO, I do love their products but its hard to support a brand if the brand itself doesn't even know how to distribute their products to their costumers. Will I sell my collection probably no, but sadly after this year if MEGA doesn't get any better with distribution not sure if I can keep going as a MEGA fan.
I'm not saying it's okay on their part. This video is about what YOU can do. And we can't do anything about the way Mattel is handling things, aside from making our thoughts known in a collected way
I live in Asia, it's been years I still can't find MEGA sets in local Stores in my area, so my only option is to buy online, fortunately I've been purchasing Halo Figures on Lazada & Shopee; though I noticed that some aren't authentic, for example I purchased a Halo Heroes Orange/White Spartan Trailblazer for a low price (about P236.00) (it also gives you the option to buy 8), I noticed it doesn't have a black wash, which is fine cuz I was gonna use it for customs, and I saw some like the Scorpion Punch Mark VII & Orange Recon are cheap price but has no shoulder armor pieces. So despite being suspected unauthentic figures, they are cheap and will be good for my custom projects 😊
Those figures ARE real Mega, as long as they aren't Halo Heroes Series 17. The lack of wash is because it was a production line castoff, which means basically it didn't get to the part of the process that added the wash
@@DemarcationMedia Oh I thought it was odd that a figure like that is sold at a cheap price and sold in large quantities not to mention it was packaged in a small plastic bag with no weapon or stand; also the other Halo Heroes Figures I saw shows that they have no shoulder armor or the wrong shoulder pieces, I thought something was off
Those are legit runs just that the sellers usually take some pieces for seperate sales. I just got my entire Wasp Onslaught set for 13$ via Shopee. Its legit but with no box.
I will never give up and I will never turn my back on Halo or Mega. As a Halo: CE superfan, I have it especially difficult, but creativity finds a way!
I don't really collect mega stuff that much, I always want to but have no money too. I do have a green spartan that I've had sense 11th grade, like three years ago, that I keep near me it was in one of those armory sets that came with a green and purple spartan and al lotta different armor. my little brother took the purple one cause I like military colors. But something I found out that I quite like is that Halo figs scale with most modern transformers, like say studio series or legacy figures. So I like posing my little Spartan with big name giant robots like Optimus prime. So for me even if I rarely get halo stuff I'll always have my spartan and giant transforming robots and I'll be happy. Also another note when it comes to playing, just like your mind go wild. Me and my little brother set up a little battle scene using 1/144 scale Gundam models, Army men and some Halo figs, none of it scales which bugs me but screw it! Letting your brain go wild with toys is fun and a great desrtesser.
Even with all the bad things going on with mega, at least its not like legos situation right now. Overpriced sets, sets no one wants, fomo, low quality figures, the list goes on.
I mean...you can still be a Mega fan and not buy the new stuff. That was the point of the video. If the only reason you quit is 'cause you can't get new stuff, I dunno, it seems like the actual amassing is more your thing

Just 2 suggestions. I think you mention them indirectly but directly maybe should mention is. Don't let that others may be getting out of the hobby or Halo isn't as popular effect your enjoyment. If you like it then let that be why you collect. Who cares if others are getting out of it. If it gives you joy then continuing having fun with it.
The second is the community is great. Most people don't mind helping you track down stuff you may like. Or maybe you have painting questions or photography questions ask the creators. Don't be frustrated when you can get help.
I love this community. I have some real friends in this community and am glad to enjoy the hobby with others and seeing the cool things they do.

I've been collecting mega since I was very young. I was always more of a Lego kid but watching my dad play halo reach is such a huge part of my childhood and I loved picking up a halo blind bag or two whenever I was shopping with my mum (back when they were actually readily available) . My first figure was an old articulation halo wars marine in green which I lost but I still have my second figure which was the exact same figure but in tan. I kept buying blind bags here and there up until about Charlie series I think. The last set I got from mega as a kid was that warthog with the interchangeable armour with the tan Hermes and war master then that was it. I grew up and had better things to worry about like school, exams and where my life was going. After all that I ended up moving out and living with my partner but once the stress of life and school was over, I guess I could be a kid again if I wanted to and explore all the things that made me feel nostalgic. Up until recently I was collecting Lego for a while which reignited my love of star wars (since they're the best Lego line) and then after moving away from Lego I went back home to visit my parents and everything and found my old mega collection which inspired me to collect properly again. My mum offered to buy me the 20th anniversary pack to start my collection back up and now here I am collecting mega again like I used to. I hope to one day have a room full of baseplate tables so I can display all the figures in a huge battle, probably separating different eras/games (like I'm not gonna put a Promethean knight in the CE display for example) and probably do the same with any Lego I still have. I've missed a lot of sets so I'm trying to get some older sets and add them to my collection and gain an army. Someday I might do photography too since I've always loved photography as a general thing, mostly taking photos of sunsets and sunrises but doing toy photography seems like a fun thing to get into. I strive to gain an army and hopefully display most, if not all of my figures, both old and new articulation, and make amazing scenes

wanderfull Video... i kinda started with the hobby since my dream is making a lego room with amazing bulds and landscapes, stories/szenarios i can re create on em. Thats how i got to halo mega bloxes.. all the amazing pictures and stop motions , your youtube channal and many others!!! just wanderful , my only problem is that my country doesnt have anything connected to mega blox. so i sturggle to buy figures but! im at 12 rn so im already happy with a small build and i dont plan anytime in the future giving up! ( sorry if my english is bad im german and still learning)
For a earlier collector but an old fan of the Mega franchise, it's pretty difficult for me to continue upgrading my collection. But, for me, Mega have the best toy ever. Very detail, bricks construction, a lot of universe and collab ! But i'm done with all problems to get some sets. I'm paying huge amount to get sets to my country, and that's pretty horrible to find some sets. However, I'm continue my collection as i can, and maybe, finding some cool stuffs in future !

Im not giving up on Halo Megas , but i do scale back on my purchases alot past 6 months or so. Kinda dry when it comes to Shopee, Aliexpress and Lazada, like only sets with no boxes or figures missing pieces of armor and weapons. But that got me into buiding mocs/custom painiting figures alot more

All Halo is out of stores. This isn't just a Mega issue, it's all Halo collectibles (i.e Jazwares, Mega, etc)
As someone who has been collecting since 2011, I always had my off and on, but I never stopped collecting or quit. Sometimes it’s better to collect something else while still collecting mega.

Mega never made a Titan Fall line, and it would literally destroy bank accounts if they did. I made it my mission to make custom figures. I've been collecting lots of official/custom parts and sacrificing figures to put them together. As an adult with expendable income, this is the most fun I've ever had with Mega.

i think that making mocs would cost like few pelicans because lego does not connect with mega. and mega does not produce many sets with different details.

Getting parts for MOCs is definitely hard. Getting some off brands work for that
To be honest I started collecting mega in 2014. The reason I started collecting mega was to play with what I got. Time passed and I had less time to play with my figures. So I started taking pictures of them, posing them and sometimes make a little scene of action. Little request if you don’t mind: video of alpha nine 2.0 (drop pods, wombat and new Dare from 20th anniversary pack all together)

I know mega from back in the day 2009 and got literally the og sets that year. However during the years i find it quite impossible to find newer sets ( i mean post 2014 sets ) and the only ones that i find are from vinted.

I live in Spain and you could find Halo sets in stores like ToysRus until like 6 or 7 years ago. Those were the good times. Now it's difficult to find anything but whenever I buy a Halo set I use Amazon. Prizes have gotten crazy since like 2 years ago tho so I rarely buy anthing anymore.

There are other variants, some in white, some in tan. They're all tough to get though
I'm from the Philippines, I had been a Halo Mega Bloks/Construx fan since mid 2019. Since the pandemic sadly most of what I bought I had to buy and rely from ebay or amazon.. which costs a lot from an international buyer.
Year 2014-2017, I saw a lot of Mega Bloks/Construx stuff in our local toystores shelves wayback I was just start collecting Lego.
But current stores here like ToysRus or Toy Kingdom they don't sell Mega Construx Halos anymore. They supply Barbie, Hotwheels, some MoTU and a little bit of pokemon, but not Halo and other stuff..
Fellow Filipino (Half) here, I share the same situation as you, MEGA no longer sold at any local toystores in my area compared to years ago; I mostly rely buying MEGA stuff from Shopee & Lazada, mostly figures sometimes rarely big sets

I'm definitely more into the moc and display side of things. I definitely want to try stop motion some day. I had that same mindset of "well if mega isn't going to make it, I'll do it myself". Hence why I've made Locusts, AA wraith's, Marauder's, a Blisterback, and so much more. Long term I absolutely want to try a Scarab or Beam tower from scratch, but those aspirations are high. Great video my dude. The Mega community definitely needs positivity like this, especially with how hard it is to find sets lately 👍

i like playing and making stopmotion animations and i also like custom painting my weapons i quite scared to do it on figures but my dad paints and plays the game warhammer 40k
You should get some extra figs and just give it a try! If your dad does 40k, I'm sure he could show you some tricks, 40k players are on another level with painting

nothing against the pelican, but opening it up is a pain in the ass. I love how easy the elephant opens.
unlike a lot of people I haven't had any issue with the treds at all. people just need to firmly push down on the thing. Much like the scorpion.

Photography is an excellent way to use customs! Just make sure you seal the paint first

most times you gotta commission people to paint/build or you can do so yourself. There are some people who 3d print custom armor and pieces so you have more customization, such as LS3D printing on IG or his website I have bought from him and painted my own or I've sent them to some artists cause they paint better lol. Unfortunately there is no way to get a custom from mega specifically
You'd have to talk to people like Flustered, Jmac or Gcustoms, or any of the other customizers. Or buy parts from LS3D and paint them yourself

I took the WH40k Kill Team rule set and made rules in that spirit for Halo Mega. Pretty easy to do if anyone wanted to. Makes for a nice tabletop wargame.
Lately I've been watching a lot of Warhammer miniature painting and I decided to just paint and customize the Halo mini figures that I already have. It's so much fun and you have almost unlimited potential to make your own unique army and create your own battles and lore.
Maybe in the future I'll build a diorama or make stop motion but it is sad to see that a great line of toys is being mistreated like this.

If you haven't bought ANY Mega before, I would say right now the Razorback would be your best option. It's around $38 right now (it went lower awhile back so you might find lower prices), and you get a Spartan (Kelly), a Marine, a Brute and a Grunt Mule.

I feel like it'd be pretty likely we'll see SPI armor, but I'm not totally sure
My dream is that Mega evolves the articulation system once more, to be in line with a lot of custom 3d printed parts- particularly, the ankle ball joints. If we had lore accurate heights- spartans with the posable ankles and taller limbs, it’d be sick. Honestly, I think the greatest thing Mega could do is remarket these products but for adults. It’s clear that it’s mostly us adults who are into these products, and honestly, kids lean towards more adult products anyways. If the company took the product more seriously, the vast majority of people would as well. If Mega’s having problems selling things, they should listen to the community and sell what we love- nmpd sets, bring back Halo Wars stuff but revised with the new articulation and bricks, and, fingers crossed, start selling things for the next halo game when more info comes out
I would love more articulation though the current system is pretty solid. I feel like crowd funded sets would do well from Mega if they did things like Halo Wars, NMPD, etc

While I love displaying my stuff as battle scenes, I find myself also in another category not mentioned (although it's extremely niche to be fair). I genuinely like buying and reselling. I'm on several resell sites and forums looking for stuff everyday. If you play your cards right, you can get figures for free or even for a profit, but I also genuinely think it's fun. Nothing like finding a great figure lot after hunting for a bit. Definitely not for everyone, but it's a lot easier to get into reselling than people think. Just make sure to be fair with the prices and don't scalp. We have enough problems with that already.

You have to get them online really. Blind Bags are the toughest to get, along with Halo Heroes figs

Stores have zero Halo. Amazon usually has Mega, you just have to sift between the retail stuff and scalped stuff
If a set is absolutely unavailable (like the scarab) why not make a lego moc that somewhat fits with mega?

What a time for this video... The Mega Showcase just eneded a few minutes ago and Mega didn't show any new set or even mentioned new Halo sets for 2024... Very disappointed. :/
It's a showcase for current sets, not new ones, so this was to be expected. Although no halo at all was a little disappointing.

I stopped buying mega sets a while ago, mostly out of space and that, then the sets either were hard to find or i didnt like them or comming out to fast yet bad distributed
I got most of the main characters (except osiris) and then just, stopped buying, im happy with what i have, but day after day, news after news, it just seem that halo as a whole, is getting to an end
I will continue to cherish those memories and my figures, but i dont expect anything more

I really enjoy the display and posing aspect of this hobby. I want to take more pictures. I am a little scared to get into painting. I mean I guess if I screw it up badly I can just start again. I both enjoyed and hoarded quite a few of those figures from retail sets and through other avenues. It’s essentially the same. Mattel is a billion dollar company, there’s no reason why us customers can’t easily be able to get newly released sets.
There are many reasons why we can't. Remember that the Halo line is a VERY small part of Mattel. They put money and time where there's more money to be had. With the limping, struggling path Halo has had, the money there has been way down, as opposed to their other lines like Hotwheels, Barbie, Pokemon, etc. And not just the Mega aspects, literal Hot Wheels cars, actual Barbie figures, etc. They're juggling a lot and while Mega cares about the Halo line, Mattel cares about the money
The community should help each other more it’s not that they don’t it’s just that we should help more

Ive been collecting the halo line since its debut back in 2009 and it saddens me so much to see the state it ls in. Nothing in stores, scalped to hell sets. Hardly new things to buy each year and the list goes on.
I have so much money, thousnds invested into the sets and while I agree on a lot of what you said the issue I have is it seems the line has taken the back seat for now and Pokemon is the new thing with them, each year, dozens and dozens of new Pokémon sets and almost nothing Halo. Yeah sure, a few sets from the TV show which is widely split between "I like it" and "I hate it" so why was that chosen to make sets of? Because "its the new thing" is a good answer most will have but again, with how widely split the opinions are and if sales are really the issue with the line and why its seems to be dwindling, why was this choice done. They arent bad, I own them all but again, they know a lot of halo fans dislike the show.
We use to get waves, dozens of sets every year, exclusives, huge waves man like what happened? Toys r us closing I think is where the cracks began.
So while I see more and more Pokémon get revealed and be on store shelves while I go store to store looking for the scraps of Halo sets it just keeps making my view on the line more and more in the dumps. I want to be wrong in my view Halo is on the back burner, I want hope, but at the moment is there any?
Well remember, Halo has had a LONG hard couple years. So as an IP, it isn't as promising for stores to carry Halo merch of any sort
Not sure if its ok to say its ok if you can't get the new sets. I mean in every 6 months MEGA HALO only release like only 5 sets more or less including blind bags unlike LEGO that releases 800 or more in a year and then say its ok if you cant get the new sets. New sets is one reason why fans support the franchise because there is always something to look forward to. I mean don't get me wrong I've been supporting the brand since the early 2000's and till today for someone who doesn't play HALO, I do love their products but its hard to support a brand if the brand itself doesn't even know how to distribute their products to their costumers. Will I sell my collection probably no, but sadly after this year if MEGA doesn't get any better with distribution not sure if I can keep going as a MEGA fan.

I live in Asia, it's been years I still can't find MEGA sets in local Stores in my area, so my only option is to buy online, fortunately I've been purchasing Halo Figures on Lazada & Shopee; though I noticed that some aren't authentic, for example I purchased a Halo Heroes Orange/White Spartan Trailblazer for a low price (about P236.00) (it also gives you the option to buy 8), I noticed it doesn't have a black wash, which is fine cuz I was gonna use it for customs, and I saw some like the Scorpion Punch Mark VII & Orange Recon are cheap price but has no shoulder armor pieces.
So despite being suspected unauthentic figures, they are cheap and will be good for my custom projects 😊
Those figures ARE real Mega, as long as they aren't Halo Heroes Series 17. The lack of wash is because it was a production line castoff, which means basically it didn't get to the part of the process that added the wash
@@DemarcationMedia Oh I thought it was odd that a figure like that is sold at a cheap price and sold in large quantities not to mention it was packaged in a small plastic bag with no weapon or stand; also the other Halo Heroes Figures I saw shows that they have no shoulder armor or the wrong shoulder pieces, I thought something was off
Those are legit runs just that the sellers usually take some pieces for seperate sales. I just got my entire Wasp Onslaught set for 13$ via Shopee. Its legit but with no box.

I do have a green spartan that I've had sense 11th grade, like three years ago, that I keep near me it was in one of those armory sets that came with a green and purple spartan and al lotta different armor. my little brother took the purple one cause I like military colors.
But something I found out that I quite like is that Halo figs scale with most modern transformers, like say studio series or legacy figures. So I like posing my little Spartan with big name giant robots like Optimus prime. So for me even if I rarely get halo stuff I'll always have my spartan and giant transforming robots and I'll be happy.
Also another note when it comes to playing, just like your mind go wild. Me and my little brother set up a little battle scene using 1/144 scale Gundam models, Army men and some Halo figs, none of it scales which bugs me but screw it! Letting your brain go wild with toys is fun and a great desrtesser.
Pairing up Mega with Transformers is pretty awesome!!
