The Arc only worked so well cause his teammates allowed them to play SUPER agreesive which the build needs to shine. GL gettin a similar result in a Fireteam finder GM
Its true his team allowed him to be hyper aggressive. However, I use fallen sunstar and I can tell you cross wasn't even using it correctly. He was pretty much using his weapons for add clear and doing almost nothing with his grenades. You're supposed to use the traces for fast ability regen to you and your team, but he was throwing it at chunky targets the most. I used a similar sunstar build last season and I was getting more kills than anyone on LFG because I'd actually throw my grenades at enemies where I know I'd get a bunch of traces and jolt them all. Max add clear potential and then run strong dps weapons for harder targets.
people act like having shit teammates or even teammates that arent directly complementing your build makes it unusable. a good build is a good build. sure teammates can help you play to its strengths but at the end of the day everybody is using some form of buffs and debuffs in their build. you wont ever run into someone on LFG that is actively making your build worse, and if it feels like thats the case, it because your build is just shit
Ahhh you & Mactics (& Plunder) really going in! Love to see it. I will say these may have to be voted on by category in like a star system. Otherwise most of the battles will be won by builds that are versatile. The categories could be Ease of Use (How easy can the build be used) Versatility (Can I use this in all content) Longevity (Is build sustainable thru multiple seasons down the line) Synergy (How well building utilizes class resources). FUN (self explanatory)

Letting people know that the bug with wormgods and winterbite is fixed so with Banner of War and max stacks on wormgods you can hit about 63,000 per melee (with ammo) tested on ogre boss in Grasp

@@hw811gaming6 with frenzied blade I hit roughly 93,300 and with flechette storm I hit 151,000 but missed the 1st bit (the little wave with the slide/opener) but then I noticed had solo operative which buffed the damage a little on both ends so it might be a bit scuffed but base melee flechette storm wins but it cannot be buffed by one-two punch as far as I know so a someone using that perk and frenzied blade could hit for more but I was just testing out base
Got one suggestion for FX’s build: swap sunshot for the new dungeon exotic crossbow if you have it, because you can use antibarrier on that and overload on the rocket launcher, and have a ton of void utility especially on hunter. It’s really good so far and also works great for adclear if u have volatile proc a lot Edit: and I like running kinetic tremors or Riptide/Scatter Signal as legendary primaries to match
The sidearm is extremely good and quite frankly I can't wait for more weapons of that archetype to enter the game. As far as specials that can act as primaries due to ammo economy, they are SIGNIFICANTLY better than legendary Trace Rifles at this point (which need a buff).

What is amazing about this sidearm, and the frankly all the unique special sidearms. Is that they add almost a completly new kind of weapons to the game, without making a new weapon. Like theres only so many types of guns: Rifles, Handcannon, Shotguns etc. But these new types of these weapons: A sidearm that fires homing rockets, bolts like a crossbow, grenades; it creates almost whole new archtypes. Im excited to see what other unique weapon archtypes can be made.
Love the series concept, judging the better seems so difficult due to the vastly varying kinds of difficulty and types of content you can bring builds into. Like I'm gonna try both of these builds.
Its such a fun build. I run this with Coldheart and I can Throw Abilites every few seconds and Sunstar gives ability engery to allies too so it buffs everyone. It just slows down if you run out of Special.

Void Hunter is pretty meh. Outside of invis spamming you aren’t too helpful. Better off on solar or just not Hunter. Titans and warlocks bring a better neutral game

The thing with Les’ build is that it works no matter where you are, what you’re doing, and who you’re playing with. FX’s build is great if you’re playing with your buddies and they know what it’s supposed to be there for. You aren’t soloing a dungeon with it though.

As good as you are aztecross I think one cool aspect about this is actually watching a master at work maybe someone has put a ton of time into a specific build and really knows it well ya know some builds take time to learn 2. I wanna see some more shit talking same thing as before get these two submitters into a discord call and get some playful banter some shit talking one might say. Stormcaller in general is heavily underrated, simply because the average player is exclusively thinking of boss DPS. I personally think it's actually a flaw with a lot of content creation, Raids may as well be the sole focus of Destiny 2's PvE. You can make Arc some of the most potent add clear and crowd control in the game, it's very strong for the add density that GMs throw at you. Fallen Sunstar is great for it, but I'd also recommend Crown of Tempest with Stormtrance for GMs. You get super very quickly with either, Sunstar is more for supporting your team and Crown is more for having what may be the best add clear supers in the game (mostly because it makes Stormtrance last for SOOOO long).
Hope you keep doing this series, it's fun to watch...and I would imagine it probably makes grinding out GMs more tolerable. Great stuff Cross, can't wait for the next one!
Love this idea for a series! I think that there should be some rating system the chat decides on that way there is a more linear path to win and there will be more out of the box builds. IE: create a ranking system that takes into account different aspects of the build: effectiveness, creativity, survivability, etc. and let chat rank the build in each category out of 10. The build with the most points wins, the loser is banned. Could be a good way to get less meta builds so often.
I'm using a warlock Strand build with graviton lance and nezarecs sin. Great add clear, a lot of orbs for me and teammates and crowd Control. Greetings from Germany
This works extremely well with groups of 4+enemies. Orpheus rig single shot with super gains from kills(surrounded) +vortex nade. Throw nade in a group, tether super pronto at nade. Throw insta grenade asap and stand invisible at the center. 70 percent super return in a moment.
Before the vid gets started...I'm with Les on this one. Fallen Sunstar arc warlock is my go to for endgame content. Nothing is better for arc warlock long fights than having all your abilities, all the time.

lemme just say that celestial nighthawk and polaris lance absolutely shredded that nightfall when i did last night. i was only one using this build and i blew through everything. ignitions are so good
I was very surprised with Precious Scars! It definitely has a place now, there's a few Exotics that are fun, they can hang in harder content but you still feel a bit iffy running them in a GM or Raid say, there's just "Better" options. Precious Scars when you're getting hounded by trash mobs especially, you're not dying without a colossal F-Up!
I really like the pistol, the one I used for a bit had permeability and Loose Change so I'd use it with strand to get unraveling rounds and I liked it, might be something I experiment more with
I used to wear Rigs forever, but when they nerfed the amount of orbs. I switched from Rigs to 6th Coyote and double tether with Leviathans Breath. Though during Gambit I use Dragons, it goes through ad rounds quickly.
I don't even care which build is better the speed and skill he is running a GM is insane to me! I only just came back to the game after a really really long time away and when I did my first GM felt like a little kid who needed their parent to hold their hand to cross the street!
Really cool series looking forward to it but for this GM specifically i don’t think Les’s build was better bro. Starting off with super regen FX was much better at that seen through the gameplay, ability regen u could argue either way but for the ‘blinding’ effect sunshot is better since u can just outright kill them and the suppression form tether was better for crowd control blind. For this GM i think FX’s build was leagues better.
I feel like this is setting up for some kind of tournament. Find the best build for each subclass. Then find the best for each class and put all three into one fireteam a see which is the greatest. YOu could also make team submissions, where if you know of three builds that feed off each other for like GMs would be interesting too.
Really liked the concept of the series. One suggestion would be to exclude your fireteam from using Well warlock. I felt like in both runs whenever you guys got to the hardest parts I couldn't really tell if the build was carrying its weight since a well was constantly up
for casual pve, the warlock threadling/sever warlock build is my best build. But FINALLY people listen to me and use Polaris. Polaris has been my favorite exotic since the GM season that dropped Proving Grounds haha and since Solar3.0 it is even more op

Yeah, but it seems people forget that volatile is intrinsic anti barrier too. so you dont have to limit yourself to a sidearm

Was going through VOG the other day and the sidearm on shots the oracles. Lot of utility that is being slept on.

This is great content. I hope you keep it up. I play with some people that like to go very off-meta. Lots of different setups can have value.

I don't even care which build is better the speed and skill he is running a GM is insane to me! I only just came back to the game after a really really long time away and when I did my first GM felt like a little kid who needed their parent to hold their hand to cross the street!

This is a perfect series to use considering eh length of this season we’re going through.
Really cool series looking forward to it but for this GM specifically i don’t think Les’s build was better bro. Starting off with super regen FX was much better at that seen through the gameplay, ability regen u could argue either way but for the ‘blinding’ effect sunshot is better since u can just outright kill them and the suppression form tether was better for crowd control blind. For this GM i think FX’s build was leagues better.
I feel like this is setting up for some kind of tournament. Find the best build for each subclass. Then find the best for each class and put all three into one fireteam a see which is the greatest. YOu could also make team submissions, where if you know of three builds that feed off each other for like GMs would be interesting too.
Really liked the concept of the series. One suggestion would be to exclude your fireteam from using Well warlock. I felt like in both runs whenever you guys got to the hardest parts I couldn't really tell if the build was carrying its weight since a well was constantly up
This and i would like to see some them used in LFG groups. I feel like them 3 stacking like that can make almost any build "work"
for casual pve, the warlock threadling/sever warlock build is my best build. But FINALLY people listen to me and use Polaris. Polaris has been my favorite exotic since the GM season that dropped Proving Grounds haha and since Solar3.0 it is even more op
Polaris is really only being propelled by the current set of artifact mods. Still one of the better exotic primaries for something like a GM though
@@rgentum yeah the current A mods do make it the next level thing. But I still believe even without them, it is a solid A tier exotic maybe even S tier imo
