Game #3 mirror is pretty much where it displays the skill depth of this deck with nuance(and old classic miracle rogue). You had to balance using combo pieces for removal/tempo. The opponent misjudged when to go in and lost. It's not bullshit "skill expression" like APM in a turn based game clearly not meant for that with long animations/server inconsistencies
This is exactly what people mean when they say, "old Hearthstone was better." They are talking about skill-based decks in a comparatively slow meta, where you need to be thinking several turns ahead of where you are now rather than just playing the cards that have yellow borders on curve. You can still kind of do that, but the advent of Discover has irrevocably added a ton of RNG to what was a relatively standard card game, outside of Shaman which had Spell Power Totem and spells that did random amounts of damage of course.
hard to explain how good AND how high the skillcap was on this. At it's peak, Masters players had it above 65% WR, while the average for all players was below 40%. Absolutely bonkers.
@@brianfarrell8944 you had to draw your whole deck to otk and take a down turn with 6 mana emperor. nowadays you just die on turn 7 to combo with no down turn and through taunt lmao
@@benoplustee most of patrons winrate floor was it’s matchup against secret paladin, which was the exact kind of deck you described. a deck which strangled the meta and kept out other decks. guess what happened when they nerfed patron?
Absolutely brilliant pivot into fatigue damage. Especially since this is just a side format, so it's not like patron warrior is fresh on the brain.

@@michaelbowman6684god I do not miss spell power totem or games being decided by lightning storm rng
damn, the slowmo on the Thaddius animation at the end was pretty sick
Thanks for the twist format throwback decks! These videos are a great change of pace from the modern game
The word "EVERYONE" stirs up serious trauma thanks to this deck.
I forgot how much I like the card art on Zombie Chow.
We Stan patron chump
A fight? Count me in!
HEY EVERYONE! GET IN HERE!
What a great name for a video title!

Chump had a chance to meme with warsong saying it gives your charge minions +1 attack
So nostalgic. I cried😂
20:23 the opponent was right about the misstep. They were wrong about angrying Master Chump though. They were never seen again.
That last game was crazy. I genuinely did not think chump had a chance after tempoing out that frosty
This reminds me of when i used mass sludge beltcher as a wincon 😂
Very well played!
Everyone get in here!!.
20:23 Nice
Ahh yes, the good old times
I’ve been winning against this deck with control warrior. Literally 100% win rate in like 30 games
Well now I wish I didn't dust all my old cards I would love to get a trip down a memory lane like this.
It wasn't quite the same since other cards were buffed/reverted.
Hey everyone, get in here and watch this Chump video!
Making the last opponent lose because of fatigue damage was brilliant!
most fun deck ever
It was my favourite deck back in the days. First legend, first golden hero. Shame how all turned out
Hey, alright
Everyone. Get. In. Here
What a deck
It's 2:30 AM
😭
Is it possible to make patron in wild rn?
yes
why wouldnt be ? when u have all cards there
@@Syleion there might be some permanent bans or changed mechanics, dk
Nostalgia mode BUT emperor is 5 mana. Patron Warrior is even better than the best.
Crazy!
Tight
Can you add in more loses? I wanna see the games where it all falls apart
Galakrond Shaman: U wot m8?
My favorite deck of all time is a self made spell damage headcrack Rogue in Scollomance Academy meta.
Damn I was never good at this deck, I got to Diamond 10 with Handlock tho
0:17 Part of why I always come back baby. I respect the ability to be straight faced when telling such a bold lie.
Literally playing the set that is part of Hearthstone Brew.
gang
Secret pala was better imo.
your opinion is wrong lol
thats not out yet, brm qas before tgt
powerful and boring =) Only CW
I quit when ben brode nerfed patron back in the day. casuals got their win that day, game devs showed what matters and thats casuals enjoyment and $$$
Yeah how dare the devs nerf a toxic combo! Shame on them!
I think you might just be stupid Sam
F those pathetic casuals that cant tolerate one strategy being objectively the best one in a game that is ideally supposed to have a diverse meta
