    Great review of the trailer. I have a Kendon Dual Cruiser folding trailer. They are great trailers for those of us limited on storage space at home.
    My trailer has made 2 trips with 2 bikes to Sturgis and 1 trip to Pooler to train with the master, Robert Simmons.
    One recommendation I would have for the spare tire is when you are hauling the bike. Put the spare in the back of the truck. Where the tire is stored under the trailer is not a good location with the bike on the trailer if you have flat. You would have to unload the bike and lift the trailer up to get to it. Before I towed the bikes I tried to get the spare off when hooked to the truck. It can be done but it is difficult.
    I just throw the spare in the back of the truck along with a 2 ton floor jack. Easy to change a tire on the side of the road.
    Just a thought brother.
    Ride safe. Enjoy your videos a lot. Very informative.

      Good point about the spare!!! I didn't think about that. Thanks for sharing!

    Many by now you’ve figured out what that fixed caster is about I built a flat cart with 4 swivel casters, fine on a flat level surface, but any slope the load cannot be controlled. Also the wheel chock needs to be adjusted for your wheel size.

    • @RidingandWrenching
      @RidingandWrenching  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've actually swapped the fixed caster with a swivel caster. There are pros and cons to the swivel caster. I plan to cover this in my next video about the trailer. The fixed caster is easier to maneuver, but the swivel caster is easier to push the trailer close to the wall

    I just stumbled across your video while researching the Kendon trailers. I've got two Vespas I want to haul and I lack storage space for a trailer. It was fun to see you have a 66 Mustang in your garage as well. I have a red 66 coupe along with my two scooters. I'll definitely check out more of your videos.

      It takes a little "juggling things around" to get it out, but it's worth the effort. I don't like storing my stuff outside, so I deal with it.

    Thank you, Cue, for making this video. When trailering were you ever concerned the Kendon might be rear ended by distracted drivers because there is no traditional tall tailgate with elevated brake lights on the Kendon?

    • @RidingandWrenching
      @RidingandWrenching  ปีที่แล้ว

      It has brake lights and turn signals. I think they are pretty typical for trailers. I have not had any issues so far....I've probably put over 10,000 miles on this trailer

    Thanks for the effort and the review of this Kendon trailer. Your audio is excellent. I might recommend some refinement of the video to condense the material and allow for some close ups of the details you are trying to highlight. I like your style and consideration for the viewer. Happy trails brother.

      Thanks for the feedback! I will be making another video with the trailer in a few weeks. The topic will be loading/unloading the trailer by yourself and securing a Road Glide and Street Glide. I basically covered that topic in this video, but I will answer all of the questions that have been asked in this video AND do more close up shots like you suggested.

    Great video on how to use the trailer. Kenyon should send you a free spare tire for doing training tape. This was very timely as I was trying to find fold up trailer. The swivel roller should be standard on all their models. Looking forward to more in the future. “Don’t give up the Ship” indeed. I assume you are a fellow Navy Vet, and thanks for serving. All the best from Wisconsin.

      Thanks! Yes I am a Navy vet....served in the late 80's/early 90's. I got "suckered" into joining after I watched Top Gun!😂😂 but I flunked the physical because of eyesight. Oh well! Still glad that I served!
      The trailer is pretty cool! I'll may use it for part of my trip to Daytona next month.

    Nice video. I've been thinking about one of these Kendon's for some time. I just rented a U Haul motorcycle trailer with good success at $15 / day but the only problem was they have to be returned where you picked them up. I had it for a month which was a bit pricey. Would have been good to learn about pricing and availability too. I've subscribed and am looking forward to new content. Be safe out there!

    When you are done throttling up to the wheel chock and all the way to the front, can you get off the bike and leave it by itself before you start the straps?

    • @RidingandWrenching

      No. The wheel chock will not hold the bike up. I lay my straps next to the bike so that I don't have to walk away leaving the bike on the chock

      Sorry for the late response. The ride on ramp is in the middle and it has 2 support bars to hold the weight of the bike. The outside ramps are for walking or riding up the ramp. I wouldn't risk riding up one ramp because there isn't enough room for you feet

    Hay cue sorry if I spelled your name wrong . I just watched you load your bike. I didnt see the bike drop down in the chock. Been watchen alot of vidios only two ppl that said it wont hold there bike. Both of them the bike doesnt drop down.if the flip piece of the chock isnt on the back side if the tire it wont hold the bike.
    Before anyone says u dont know what I'm talking about. I have had several bikes on mine. 86 zx7, mid 80 harley road king not sure if the year sorry 21 south bobber. Those three bikes all have different size front tires all droped down into it an I was able to walk away an leave them alone. Yeah they did get strapped down before we drove off.
    Have you tried moven to flip part back alil see what happens. Just trien to help. With those three my bobber only has a 16 inch wheel it hits the hardest into the chock n yes it's the hardest to get out to. I let a buddy use it once to take a dr 650. He said it stood up fine, but he also didnt care if it fell. I wasnt there to see how that was. Anyway just want to say give it a trye but have a friend just in case you have a hard time getting it back out. Only reason I say that is my buddies road king would come back out easy my bobber I really gotta yank it I need to adjust alil closer I think for mine so it doesn't drop in/hit so hard. My trailer is a 2011 model single rail had to retrofit with the wider back section. I didnt like the tiny v back end I'll admit it, it scared me loading till after the retrofit. After that it felt like a 4x8 landscape trailer. If you do it, move the flip piece that is, let me know if that worked for you. N ty tc be safe.

      @@ballpython10 I'll give it a shot. If it works: I'll do a follow up video. I actually dropped my bike once on this trailer....but that was caused by my foot slipping while stepping off the bike. I got real lucky and didn't get hurt or damage my bike

    • @ballpython10

      @RidingandWrenching it's good you didnt get hurt be careful your bike is almost twice the weight of mine

  • @roundingcorners
    @roundingcorners 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    thanks for the vid. i'd be a bit uneasy using this triangle shape when loading as there's a significant consequence if you don't get it straight on with the wheel chock. I can just see a front tire going right over the side if you're not careful.

    • @RidingandWrenching
      @RidingandWrenching  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a track in the middle of the trailer. As long as you aim for the middle of the trailer, you can't miss it.

    • @dfhowes
      @dfhowes 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As the OP stated, there's a set of tubing to guide your tires on the second ½ of the trailer as seen at 10:11 in the video. Seriously, there's no way for the bike to veer off once you get the tires to that point.
      Now on some of the older trailers like mine, the back end is like the front end, it narrows to a triangle. So then you can't use a wide ride-up ramp like he has, only a single width to walk (or throttle walk) the bike up. The real concern is when unloading the bike. You have to pay attention to the rear tire to make sure it doesn't ride off the side of that narrow ramp. I've rolled back a few time where I felt that the rear tire was getting a little closer to the edge than I'd care to see but it's never fallen off. You just need to be aware.
      It's a great little trailer that suits my needs perfectly. I'm happy with it.
