The treats are painfully addictive. Anyone every study the pain these pets feel when they don't get the treats they are addicted to? It's not just a food, it's a drug.
Nah it's just that everyone is really NOT a nutritionist and they're essentially using food to manipulate an animal that has been conditioned for 6000 years to love you. Their treats have a higher fat ratio than their dried food, making it more energy dense, if cats had the discipline for trail mix that's what would be in it.
