I leave one cup of food out for my ragdoll every day - he takes the whole day to 'graze' it. Perhaps domestic animals get fat because they only get one meal a day and end up hungry for a good portion of said day, then scarf anything they can get their mitts on whenever they can. I hope there's more than just meat in that meal in the video because if not that is not a healthy balanced diet for a cat.
@@Kalleesto Cats are obligate carnivores, and nobody said anything about only feeding a cat once a day. If feeding a cat a good raw food diet, they'll be fine(granted they don't have any special needs). The only thing you might want to add is extra taurine just to make sure they're getting enough(but most raw foods and meats already have sufficient taurine in them)

Those are perfectly sweet-sounding meows and downright civilized behavior compared to what my 16-year-old Beastie does when he's hungry. He's perfectly capable of meowing in a normal high register, but when he wants his food (yesterday, of course; now is not soon enough) he will let out with this low-pitched, grating, geriatric meow that will practically have me looking for the WD-40. While I'm getting his food, he'll continue the whining while batting at my leg with his paws. I wouldn't have it any other way. He has this, "I'm old, and I'll do whatever I damn please" attitude, but, best of all, he's a cat.

But when he's "starving" it's like the sensitive sissy devil has entered him and he is relentless in getting his grub. It's like oh my god Woosta I heard you the 1st 100 meows !!!
My cat loves food and sleeping. But sadly due to her age, her hearing has faded quite a bit to the point I believe she is fully deaf now. She meows VERY loudly to get our attention, I think she does because she can't even hear herself, but whichever is the reason, she is very loud but even with how bothersome she can be, I wouldn't trade her for anything.
The same with my cat! She's 18 years old and we think she's deaf. She won't hear us coming and will meow very loudly if she gets startled. I love her to death though even if she's loud.

When mine is like that, I distract her with play. She naps. It works for a little bit. Then the crying starts back up. What's more frustrating when I finally serve her, she takes a few bites, then walks away. LOL!

It's totally normal ! You shouldn't feed your cat the way you're doing right now. Because a cat don't have lunch times like humans, he eat all the time whenever he wants with small portions. That's what we used to do with my cat but he got faaaat because of this. Besides it's torture for your cat.
I have dry out all the time that he nips upon. He begs for wet food twice a day (give him halfs) usually being cuddly and purring and lying near ya face
I have one of those hungry kitties too. He started asking for breakfast at 4:30 am today. It’s SO tempting to just feed him so we can sleep, but I make him wait till 6:30. The vet always tells me to get some weight of him, and we try, but he asks for food all the time. He’s such a big cat, was a teeny scrawny 2-month-old thing when we got him from a shelter. We had no idea he’d grow so much. Hard to know when he’s truly fed and when he’s had too much. He’s a big cuddle bug🖤

I spend too much time watching cat videos, and in those videos, there are always people adding phantom layers of emotion to the animal that simply are not actually present. After awhile, like I said, it starts to feel like how a vampire feels with a stake through the chest, it's painfully sad to see all these people making up feelings for an animal they will never meet. I feel the same way about anime shippers. So much emotion towards something that's not real. Painfully sad.

Omg! My old cat used to do this. As soon as anyone went into the kitchen he’d turn on the charm. Leg rubbing and super soft meows. I always thought it was funny how he KNEW what we deemed was cute and use it to his advantage. Cats are so smart and pick up on a lot of things. ❤️

All three of mine act differently about food. Taylor is super chill about it. She'll just sit there and wait patiently for her food, then go to her bowl. Kaycie, while she doesn't meow, is not patient at all. She will dive into the fridge/onto the prep surface. She'll also try to steal everyone else's food (because she eats very quickly, she often gets done with her food before the other two). Henry meows at the top of his lungs. You can hear him upstairs. He's taken to hopping into the fridge, at times. Anytime I walk into the kitchen, he thinks it's food time.
What I think is interesting is the different types of meows cats develop that only their owners can truly understand. While I can just barely tell Merlin’s meows apart, I can understand my own ragdoll’s meows and demands perfectly. Cats are amazing creatures.

Ragdolls are the best! I took a stray in more than 11 years ago and it was one of the best things I have ever done. Unfortunately, he died a couple months ago. Now I need to find another one to fill his place. You dont know how much you'll miss them until their gone.

Lol super cute. My cat also talks constantly. Especially for food just like yours, just a little different, higher pitched noises. He ran from the other side of the house, meowed at my door to let him in, then jumped up on the bed to stare at the phone listening to Merlin.
It's often depends in what environment cat as a kitten lived. If your and your family talks loud then a cat also would also be loud. Opposite result for quiet ones

I used to have to go through the motions of adding to the "empty" bowl. I'd drop in 3 kibbles in and voila! The bowl was full again. They just want to see how far they can push you. The answer was as far as they wanted. I'm such a sucker for a heartfelt meow.
My cat is the same. He won't eat unless he's hungry, but he has to know the food is there when he wants it. He'll meow at me till he can't see the bottom of his bowl at all. Sometimes I just shake it a little lol
One of the best Diet tools ever is a kitty's cry. Countless times I have stood up from my empty plate dinner only to find each desperate bite stashed on the floor behind my chair. Of course I loved to watch my baby eat drink and sleep so it was worth it.
Very similar to orange tabby cats. Which, if you have one, you know that they love to eat and are very chatty. So, yeah, we have 3 and the home is just filled with all sorts of trills and howls all the time. There is no escape. Only cries of hunger. By the way, they're fed wet food twice a day with kibble in between. They are not starving. They are well-fed and even getting a little pudgy

Woogie just walked in the room and started answering the meows - the start of international cat conversations. He is usually a quite cat, but is attracted what this kitty has to say. Ok, thats it, 2 more cats (McDoneIt and Koochie) entered the room and started chiming in their opinion. They just chowed down, so I know they are not hungry.
His meows are so sweet and mellow. I have a Ragdoll too! Mine is constantly going MROOOWWW in the hallway, a lot of the time it’s not even for food it’s just cause he’s bored 🤣

What I think is interesting is the different types of meows cats develop that only their owners can truly understand. While I can just barely tell Merlin’s meows apart, I can understand my own ragdoll’s meows and demands perfectly. Cats are amazing creatures.

Ragdolls are the best! I took a stray in more than 11 years ago and it was one of the best things I have ever done. Unfortunately, he died a couple months ago. Now I need to find another one to fill his place. You dont know how much you'll miss them until their gone.

I had one cat that would bug me just to let me know that his free-feeding bowl was getting low.

I used to have to go through the motions of adding to the "empty" bowl. I'd drop in 3 kibbles in and voila! The bowl was full again. They just want to see how far they can push you. The answer was as far as they wanted. I'm such a sucker for a heartfelt meow.
My cat is the same. He won't eat unless he's hungry, but he has to know the food is there when he wants it. He'll meow at me till he can't see the bottom of his bowl at all. Sometimes I just shake it a little lol
One of the best Diet tools ever is a kitty's cry. Countless times I have stood up from my empty plate dinner only to find each desperate bite stashed on the floor behind my chair. Of course I loved to watch my baby eat drink and sleep so it was worth it.

Very similar to orange tabby cats. Which, if you have one, you know that they love to eat and are very chatty. So, yeah, we have 3 and the home is just filled with all sorts of trills and howls all the time. There is no escape. Only cries of hunger. By the way, they're fed wet food twice a day with kibble in between. They are not starving. They are well-fed and even getting a little pudgy
I'm not sure I could have Merlin as a pet. He's so gorgeous and sweet - those pitiful cries would get to me and he would weigh in at a ton:)

Hahaha omg! This my cat exactly!! She is a ragdoll mix but looks almost entirely like a ragdoll and she behaves just exactly this way!! The only one you left out was the one where they just sit and stare at you an hour before their mealtime or when you yourself are eating! 😂😂😂

Woogie just walked in the room and started answering the meows - the start of international cat conversations. He is usually a quite cat, but is attracted what this kitty has to say. Ok, thats it, 2 more cats (McDoneIt and Koochie) entered the room and started chiming in their opinion. They just chowed down, so I know they are not hungry.
