yoya88 iam not sure i understand your question however in MELAS there is infarction as infarction elsewhere with all its criteria including pseudo laminar necrosis ;the difference in distribution of the infarcts,the migratory pattern and age group....

About the case of psudolaminar necrosis
The large lesion is near the posterior horn of lateral ventricle so it is watershed or borderzone area.. Am i right?

abdullah saleh more likely segmental branch from the left MCA tahn watershed due to cortical involvement..
