Forgiveness is not the absence of wisdom...because there's no reason to keep a toxic person in your life to harm you and your family. It isn't productive to cave in. Keep the distance, knowing you can still forgive completely. Thank you immensely for this clarity we must understand when dealing with toxic relationships, Pastor Paul.

I agree with your opinion that unforgiveness is at the root of many mental and emotional problems. I recall when I first came to Christ, I went through the most difficult season of my life mentally. In short, I lived in torment and prayed to die every day. While trauma played a big role I soon discovered that my symptoms got significantly worst due to unforgiveness. I wish I could say I chose to forgave initially because it was the right thing to do...I did it at first only to save my skin because it made me horribly ill. I went through different stages but God healed me through a lengthy process. Like a doctor trying to tend a old infected wound that needed cleaning, I grimaced and cried throughout it all but He eventually got it cleaned so that healing could come. God is truly amazing...and don't let anyone tell you anything different

Another powerful solid teaching. I totally agree with you on your last comment about forgiveness. As a counsellor too I find it to be very true also the Holy Spirit really ministered that truth to me years ago that many Christians struggle to be free in areas of their lives because of unforgiveness.

There is freedom in forgiveness, I needed to hear that last bit. This verse by verse and chapter by chapter study of Ephesians has truly been such a blessing to me. Thank you Pastor Paul ♡

I tell God all the time “please help me with my family issues. You know what’s going on and how frustrating it all is. Help please.” Bc my family is a hot mess and only God can deal and fix it. It might take years (and it’s been a few now.) but I know God is good and will deal with it in His time ❤❤❤.

Amen. Sometimes there can be no resolution and all we can do is bring it to God with a groan. Romans 8:26 ... the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. God bless Our Comforter and High Praise be to God.

I think I will agree with you on that point of unwillingness to forgive being a major part of the mental health disconnect.

Excellent word Pastor Paul. I dont want to grieve the Holy Spirit anymore. I repent of my sins for grieving the Holy Spirit, concerning my words. Lord please forgive me. In Jesus name I pray

This teaching on forgiveness and wisdom is so true. And sometimes we cant just walk away from toxic people at the work place but with some sacrifice with the help of God can still be patient and humble and kind to everyone through the strength of holy spirit.
