I attended my first fall festival this year, and I cried because my mom, dad, sister and her daughter came as well. I asked our connect group to pray that they would start listening to Bible study here at Calvary
I look forward to these Bible studies every Wednesday. Hearing verses from the Bible over and over again brings me such comfort and joy. I learn so much each time I hear them. Thank you for sharing your knowledge Pastor Skip!
At one time I also looked unfavorably at someone who did not look at theories of the rapture of the church the same as I did. a huge mistake on my part. It's All about jesus Not the rapture of the church. When you've been a part of bad churches in the past you can become jaded. This is one of the better sermons from skip that i've heard.
Luke 4:16-30( Jesus😊1st❤ rejected at Nazareth) "16 And he(Jesus😊1st❤) came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. And They said, " Is not this Joseph's son? " 23 And he( Jesus😊1st❤) said to them, " Doubtless you will quote to me this proverb, Physician, heal yourself.' What we have heard you did at Capernaum, do here in your hometown as well." 24 And he(Jesus😊1st❤) said, " Truly, I say to you, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown. 25 But in truth, I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heavens were shut uo three years and sixth months, and a great famines came over all the land, 26 and Elijah(😊❤) was sent to none of them but only to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow. 27 And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of the prophet Elisha, and none of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian." 28 When they heard these things, all the synagogue were filled with wrath. 29 And they rose up and drove him(Jesus😊1st❤) out of the town and brought him( Jesus😊1st❤) to the brow of the hill on the which their town was built, so that they could threw him down the cliff. 30 But😊❤ passing😊❤ through😊❤ their midst, he( Jesus😊1st❤) went away😊❤."
