    I see this as a lot of work for you, but gotta admit you're doing a hell of a job on it. The fact that you can do it yourself is an asset. Good job and keep the faith.

    After dealing with some water intrusion issues into our home, I can appreciate a properly installed drain system. Those are the things that can keep a guy up at night! I really like your system - looks solid!

    Might want to get foundation guy opinion, but I’d be careful vibrating next to tall walls without at least the decking on top. Just me. I didn’t backfill until first level house was built.

    We just moved into our forever home. The builder used form-a-drain and the same tar and foam board you used. When I went to paint the basement walls I found vertical cracks on the longest (80ft) poured concrete wall. One of the cracks is now dripping water down the wall after a 2” rain storm. I have a 45 ft patio along that wall. So very little if any water should be running down the exterior. Needless to say I’m not happy. Working with the builder to have this fixed. From other videos I’ve seen you should not have a run more than 100 ft and 6 turns before dumping water into the sump pump. In my case we have 7 turns and 145 ft runs. I’ve been told the builder should have installed a second sump pump on the opposite side. Good idea to add a second drain system. You’re doing it the right way!

      @GunpowderandFreedom  26 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    please tell us how a 30 year old guy working roughly 9 months out of the year helping his dad pour cement can afford to invest probably a million dollars into a project like this, am i missing something? give us a breakdown of how a young american worker can achieve such a phenomenal endeavor

    • @GunpowderandFreedom
      @GunpowderandFreedom  23 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      First off, I’m saving a ton of money by self-preforming a lot of the work. Second, our home isn’t going to be finished for a few years. Our goal is to have it livable by Christmas next year. And third, my wife and I both work our asses off to be able to afford the things we have and do the things we do. I can tell by your comments that you’re probably the type of person who wants to work a 9-2 job with an hour long lunch break but expects to make more than the boss.
