I got to meet Vic personally at "E-ville Con" last spring, and he's nothing less than an absolute class act! He gave us hugs, sang happy birthday to me and a few others at his Q&A panel, and talked about God a little during his Q&A panel and even made phone calls to the friends of attendants that didn't get to make it. I swear, I thought I was honestly going to cry with joy when I met him and found out he was a Christian. (And this is coming from someone that didn't even shed a tear watching "Clannad or the after story") but to know that my favorite voice actor (and the leading voice actor from one of the very first anime I ever watched "Ouran High School Host Club") is a proud born again Christian like me... I can die of happiness! (Also this seems like a really good song for my youth groups praise band to sing on Wednesday nights.)
Ya I know I was so excited too! I meant him in may at " anime oasis " and when he said that he was a Christan I was over the moon I love him and I'm so glad that he loves God !!!! :)
yotsubafanfan I want to meet him so bad but I don't think my family will ever take me to a convention! I'm so happy to know there are other Christians that watch anime, I cried when I saw him talk about God in a few videos. He really helped me and I wish I could meet him and tell him how much I appreciate everything he's said about his love for Christ. He's a big inspiration in more ways than one. :')
"Maybe I'm not so far from home." Whenever I hear that last line, I think of how Ed and Al are stuck in the real world at the end of Conqueror of Shamballa and they're so far from "home" - but then, home is truly with your family - isn't it? Perhaps home truly isn't far. ;3
Seven years later and I still wish this was one of the endings of FMAB Vic is a gem and I'm still praying for him. Hope he gets justice for all the bs he's been accused of and finds his calling elsewhere and shine like the brightest star he is.
I think he wrote this long before he even landed the role of Ed. There's a Christian band called FFH and Vic got a chance to ask them what the letters stood for, and apparently, they stood for 'Far From Home'. I guess it was enough to prompt a creative moment :)
I imagine me in a music video with my home town far behind me without someone telling me to shut my pie hole from the singing. Edit: Why am I getting so obsessed in this song? It's so good!
@wadoichimoji other than the religious lyrics it sounds like its meant exactly for conqueror of shambala. where hes stuck in another world that he doesnt belong in and cant get back home?
I've been watching Tsubasa Chronicles and absolutely love it! So I decided to look up the english actors on Wikipedia. As I was going through them I noticed Vic Mignogna wrote music and I was like, 'Awesome!', and then I scrolled back to find that his religion said Christian, which is TOTALLY AWESOME!!! Vic Mignogna = Pure Awesomeness!
Anyone else thinking of making an animation with Edward doing a music video with this song? Well I am. Unfortunately, I cannot. It's a good idea though.
Does ANYONE know where I can find this song AND DOWNLOAD IT?! ;-; I've been looking *EVERYWHERE*!!!! And it has to be mobile freindly because I only have a phone. ;-;
I don't think Far From Home is meant for FMA because Edward wasn't that religious but Vic says he wrote it with FMA in mind then it's meant to fit that's all I'll say
its supposed to be about the brothers traveling and when ed goes to that alternate universe that looks like 1920s england... and technically japanese culture has no set one religion they live with multiple including shinto, christianity and budism following beliefs of all of them. its very complicated so it would make sense that ed not really seeming that religious becuase in actuallity japanese people really arent..
Actually it could be that Ed is talking about his own personal jesus. Jesus is usually seen as a savior, Ed could be talking about Science being his own savior a.k.a. "Jesus".
realswobby actually the author confirmed in the manga that Christianity does not exist in the FMA world. In 03 it most likely does exist because there was a nun in one episode and a pastor in one of the video games, but in Brotherhood it does not. One of my friends thinks it's an extinct religion due to the rise of alchemy, hence the Christian elements such as the homunculi named after the seven deadly sins and the abandoned churches.
I keep imagining Ed skipping through some little town with a smile on his face
,XD
Kaila Wonderland lol XD
*Sniffles*

yotsubafanfan: That's sweet. I'm a Christian too and I love Ouran High School as well. 😄😄😇💖✌

I know I love him too 🤣❤️
I was having a pretty rough day and all I had to do was listen to this song once to stop the tears. Thank-you, Vic
Seven years later and I still wish this was one of the endings of FMAB Vic is a gem and I'm still praying for him. Hope he gets justice for all the bs he's been accused of and finds his calling elsewhere and shine like the brightest star he is.
I don’t think it would’ve fit in FMAB because of the religiousness of it
@@quackquackx
Unfortunately, it would've been nice though, especially with all the symbolism in the anime during Ed and Al's journey
"Time is coming when I'll be with my Jesus but for now I'm far from home"
This song is amazing and the message is beautiful. God gave Vic such an amazing voice and love of his faith and I'm so happy to hear his music.
I think he wrote this long before he even landed the role of Ed. There's a Christian band called FFH and Vic got a chance to ask them what the letters stood for, and apparently, they stood for 'Far From Home'. I guess it was enough to prompt a creative moment :)
Damn how many songs am I gonna find by Vic that I enjoy?
ALL OF THEM
Every song makes my heart sing with joy. Keep doing what you do Vic you make us happy with your voice.

I absolutely LOVE this song!!! ( AND VIC AS WELL)
I imagine me in a music video with my home town far behind me without someone telling me to shut my pie hole from the singing.
Edit: Why am I getting so obsessed in this song? It's so good!
If Edward was real, I'd make him sing this song to me every other day.
I'm not even Christian, but I LOVE THIS SONG!
Juliana Garcia funny the character's voice acter is an atheist.
Pretty sure that guy who voiced Ed was a Christian, though.
Music Unity Vic is a christian.
Music Unity
... The fuck? I know this was a long time ago, but Vic is a SUPER Christian. He wrote these songs about his OWN belief.
Oh my goodness, this sounds SO MUCH like the music I grew up listening to. It makes me nostalgic even though I've never heard it before. XD
Vic is my very favorite voice actor!! Kyaaaa!~

Anyone else notice that 1:37-1:48 Ed's automail is on his left instead of his right arm?
Lisa Garza Cus he looks in the mirror
Yeah. It's a mirror.
Anyone else thinking of making an animation with Edward doing a music video with this song? Well I am. Unfortunately, I cannot. It's a good idea though.

Good work! I really like this song
This sounds like something that could be on the radio lol
so awesome
I love this, this song is so cute.
@wadoichimoji My thoughts exactly. I don't think the song is written for FMA, Ed isn't really a religious person, but it does fit the story nicely (:
Yeah but hes open to the idea of a god if there was proof

Yes, very true, especially if Ed believes in Thoth, the "God" of alchemy.
Well ed never debunks the idea. Hes open to the idea if there's a good
