I went to Honduras on a whim, met my fiancé in La Ceiba and now I'm becoming a citizen. It's a great country with the greatest of people. Today I learned of Pulhapanzak from this video and next month I will go there!

For lunch, Keith's BBQ. For lunch or dinner, Ginger's Caribbean Grill and Loretta's Island Cooking are absolutely phenomenal.

It's not only the st Vincent garifuna migration...Roatan was and island ruled by the British...English has been spoken in Roatan for centuries!That's y u get the English with carribbean accent

Question! Can I take a checked bag on the Ferry? And when arriving to the ferry can we leave a rental car there or do I have to rent a place to park my car in La Ceiba?
Honestly I am not sure. I saw some people with luggage but it did not pertain to me. However, my airbnb host in La Ceiba allowed me to leave my rental car at her place and also picked me up from the airbnb. I would highly recommend it to you!!
If you're visitin Roatan I would recomend you look up LETS GO ROATAN Tours, experienced tour operator, has lived in Roatan since 1993 and seeing cruise ships since 1995 - Let's Go Roatan
I had an amazing airbnb host in La Ceiba who allowed me to leave my car at her place and she picked me up from the ferry as well for no cost. I highly recommend reaching out to her as she can help you

The drive from the airport to the ferry was scenic and long. I was with my partner so it wasn't bad. There are street vendors the whole way to buy things and stop if you need. At night the drive is difficult because of the speed bumps that you cannot see. The road is well-paved however. I rented the car with Sixt Rental Car. If you want an easier option you also can just fly over there as well.

As someone who is from Honduras, I said this to the "blancitos"= white folk, please be very very careful when travelling around the country. Yes Honduras is very beautiful, but just like a rose, it has many thorns. Use good judgement. Do not wear expensive or fancy stuff on your clothes or body. Do not flash around your cash. Try to blend in as much as possible. Especially in my home town of San Pedro Sula.

Question! Can I take a checked bag on the Ferry? And when arriving to the ferry can we leave a rental car there or do I have to rent a place to park my car in La Ceiba?
Honestly I am not sure. I saw some people with luggage but it did not pertain to me. However, my airbnb host in La Ceiba allowed me to leave my rental car at her place and also picked me up from the airbnb. I would highly recommend it to you!!

All that we had was a license and our credit card.

I had an amazing airbnb host in La Ceiba who allowed me to leave my car at her place and she picked me up from the ferry as well for no cost. I highly recommend reaching out to her as she can help you

How was the drive from the airport to the ferry ? If you don’t mind sharing what company did you use to get your rental car from?
The drive from the airport to the ferry was scenic and long. I was with my partner so it wasn't bad. There are street vendors the whole way to buy things and stop if you need. At night the drive is difficult because of the speed bumps that you cannot see. The road is well-paved however. I rented the car with Sixt Rental Car. If you want an easier option you also can just fly over there as well.

We go where we find the flights, instead of trying to go places.
As someone who is from Honduras, I said this to the "blancitos"= white folk, please be very very careful when travelling around the country.
Yes Honduras is very beautiful, but just like a rose, it has many thorns. Use good judgement. Do not wear expensive or fancy stuff on your clothes or body. Do not flash around your cash. Try to blend in as much as possible. Especially in my home town of San Pedro Sula.
