    Old school Armor All and Turtle Wax stepping up their games.

    I’ve been using it for about 2 months. Best method is to rinse the car, then use a foam cannon/sprayer (I use a hose) and do one time. Let’s it soak for about 5 mins, Then rinse it off; then apply a second coat. Immediately use the two bucket method and hand wash it; rinse and dry. Don’t let it dry on the car or do it in the sun as the streaks are hard to remove. Then it works pretty well.

    I can attest to DO NOT LET IT DRY! I had missed a small spot on my already Ceramic coated paint. It does not rinse off, it does not wash off, it does not rub off. Short of polishing it off, I tried Chemical Guys VO7, didn't phase it, but CarPro Reload did. It takes a SIO2 product like Reload to correct it. I don't think it removed it but leveled it. BTW my truck looks GREAT after using this product. My other truck has a nice shine to it after washing it with this stuff too and two weeks later, water still beads.

    Great video Brian👍 I bought this @ Walmart just to see how well it works & my wife was the first one to use it on her Rav4. She liked it... she said to me "My Rav4 looks pretty now with the shine" & she said "When I rinsed it off it left bubbles on top of the paint" aka water beading💦 So this product is wife approved here👩👍

    I love this stuff. I will say it's the only ArmorAll product I still use. My method of using it is to foam the car with Turtle Wax 50597 Max Power Car Wash from the foam cannon, let it dwell and break down all dirt on the car, rinse it off, foam one side of the car at a time with the ArmorAll Extreme Shield Ceramic Car Wash and use a Premium Chenille Microfiber Wash Mitt to contact wash the vehicle, rinse, then dry. I've had one car that is going on 4 months and is still beading water, and this is the only ceramic product I've used on the car. I've only been using Turtle Wax 50597 Max Power Car Wash for maintenance washes. I wish it would wear out since I want to put a proper Nano Bond Ceramic Coating 9H PRO coating, guess I can use a DA polisher to remove it.

    after reading a lot of horror stories of it streaking on the paint I took a chance, followed the instruction exactly. used the pressure washer to get the vehicle wet and applied exactly 8 oz to a 32 oz foam cannon, i chose to do it when the sun was setting so the soap wouldn't dry on the vehicle and then agitated with a micro fiber sponge. everything went smooth with no streaking and the water beading was crazy!

      HAH Armor All makes a Ceramic tire product. I tried it, but did not do the full recommended thing, just one spray all around. My tires actually look like new without that goofy greasy gloss look. I suppose two coats will give it the shine others like, but for making the tires look like they were just put on, I found it works pretty good. Two weeks now out in the sun and weather and they look just as good as when I first did them.

    Hi Mr. FAB. Good demonstration video for this Armor All solution. From a rating of 1 to 10 I would give it either 6 out of 10 or 7 out of 10. I also this third generation Jeep Grand Cherokee. Mine is in the Limited trim. Color on mine is midnight blue pearl coat. I use the Meguire's wash & wax solution combo on my Jeep. It's more effective than the Armor All solution. You can get the Meguire's wash & wax solution at any parts store or in the automotive section at Wal-Mart and Target. For the icing on the cake to get a brilliant shine you can try out a product called Top Coat F11. It's a ceramic wax solution. I'm pretty sure you probably saw a infomercial on it. I've been using it since last year and it's pretty good. It's not available in stores, but Amazon has it. If you haven't seen any advertising on it just enter Top Coat F11 in the You Tube search box and multiple videos will be available. Once again it not a wash solution, but it's a ceramic wax solution though.

      I just watched a series from Chicago Auto Pros and they tested 26 products including F11 Topcoat. They emphatically said the product is no good and said it was the worst of the bunch and went as far as calling it a scam. I will pass on it, on top of it, it is expensive. I went to their website this week to read their claims after watching the Chicago Auto Pros video but I could not even get it to load like it is broken. I would take Turtle Wax Seal n Shine, Lithium Ceramic Slam, The Last Coat, Bead Maker, and so many others over that stuff any day.

    The griot's ceramic wash & coat seems better to me. You should try it next. I use it as a spray, dwell, & rinse off for last step. It's $20 at advance auto, that's the only con to me. In a foam sprayer it's hydrophobic immediately, whereas in the foam cannon it clings like their poly gloss you mentioned, which is what it's replacing in my routine because it's cheaper.

It will bead water like crazy. I pretty much always keep some kinda after wash spray on wax on my truck. Then use a wash as a maintenance thing. I've really liked the ceramic wash and wax.
      I've done the same method on my wife's vehicle with great results as well. My son has washed his truck with the armor all, but hasn't applied the spray wax yet. It has a slick surface and beads water well but not sure how long it would last with just the wash.

    Definitely lacks on lubricants and I felt like it was lacking on cleaning power when I used it. At 14:27 it looks to be flat on the lower portion of the doors (above the chrome trim) which is weird because that’s what it did to me when using it. I think the higher concentration out of the foam canon is what helps the hydrophobic’s and I feel that if they recommend more than 2 oz in the wash bucket or state how much water for the 2 oz it would perform better but still not great on the lubricants. Definitely do not let it dry because it will leave high spots where the water beaded. Not going to lie really didn’t want to watch your video like normal but I know you use products per the company’s recommendations and give honest reviews unlike most with this product. Hey Brian, nice review. I have been using this product DIY for a few weeks. The lubricity issue is two-fold. The chemicals that provide the protection and hydrophobic properties are not “slick”, so any product that has such properties are going to be less lubricant than a straight car shampoo. Also, you actually could have used more product in the bucket for increased lubricity and less in the foam cannon. My professional car detailing friend uses this product for customers’ maintenance washes between waxing and polishing visits. As you say in your video, this product can be used as a finish coat, and even if you start with a pure car shampoo, it is still inexpensive enough to get protection that takes almost no labor. Cheers! ~ John from Ohio

    Just curious after washing the car with Armour, would it be a good idea to wax the car afterwards for longer protection?

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing
      @FABAutomotiveDetailing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No this is made more for maintaining a protection. You wouldn’t want this under a protection as it would keep the protection from bonding to the paint.

  • @jasoncraig7096
    @jasoncraig7096 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice review! I am sure you have seen the same as me, better to do a normal wash with good soap then foam with something like this afterwards. Wonder how the protection is affected if 2 oz of good soap is added with this to a foam cannon? But soaps like this make the paint crazy slick on a coated vehicle!!!

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing
      @FABAutomotiveDetailing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Yep I would prefer a soap with no protection but is slick vs something like this.

    I bought this crap last week and it barely built up suds, didn't clean worth a hoot even with scrubbing and barely, barely beaded. Bought some Meguiar for 1/2 the price and got a nice sudsy clean. $13 for the Armor all, $7 for the Meguiar.
