What an adventure back then pre globalization. Nice to see how up to date the trucks and buses in Iran was for the time. Unfortunately, one year later the Shan was no longer in charge, so sad for Iran. Thanks for sharing

All the parts including seats engine back axel in leyland Lancashire the dr. I've them to Tehran to ace factory they where unloaded and assembled in the factory just outside Tehran we would then reload with bales of cotton for Manchester uk or we would run empty to Erzurum turkey and load hazel nuts for Cadbury in Redding also if you look carefully you will see the HILLMAN MINX car in Tehran they where mostly used as taxi cabs yellow same thing apples loaded them in bermingham in kit form and they where they where ressambled in Tehran I was a young driver back then firstly with ICC IRAN CONTANER COMPONY during bull nose Mack truck then move to ASTRAN with a nice sleeper cab SCANIA 140 then moved to SIMON INTERNATIOAL out of brick and London and my beautiful F 89 ROAD TRAIN WITH A FOURTY FOOT STEPFRAME TRAILER YES THATS NOT A TYPO AFOURTY FOOT TRAILER I HAD SOME FUN WITH OLD BILL WITH THAT .AND JUST TO MAKE YOU ALL SAY NAWWW THATS RUBBIS BUT. Lovely Swiss registered Volvo, back in the days when lorries from Switzerland were a regular sight in London's East End, Berna, Saurer and Volvo lorries among other makes parked up in all sorts of places around the dock areas and in the side streets near by. These days Swiss lorries are a lot rarer sight in the UK mainly being replaced by lorries from Eastern Europe.

I like a lot this videos. Do you know if this kind of long trips were usual in that days? Do you know where could we find some interesting literature about that? Thanks a lot!

Thank you very much for your recommendation! I've been investigating a bit on this subject, because I'm really surprised that such long distances are made with trucks. It is not usual today between Europe-Asia and I suppose it will be because of the political instability of these places as well as because of the increase in the price of fuel. However, as we can see, it seems that it was normal in the 60s and 70s.

F88 avec la petite calandre le F89 avait une grande calandre qui faisait toute la largeur de la cabine . Au début la calandre était en tôle , ensuite en plastique sur les modèles plus récents . 😉😉😉.
