- The York Dungeon features realistic sets combining 10 actor led shows that provide over an hours worth of interactive fun. In this video we talk in detail about our run through the York Dungeon in May 2018. Please note that this video does contain spoilers from the attraction as we do talk in detail about what happens inside the York Dungeon.
We had a fantastic time and loved the new additions and scenes since our last visit to the dungeon. Stay tuned to Theme Park Worldwide for more reviews in the near future.

I love the York Dungeon because although it is small the actors are brilliant and very funny and I really recommend the York Dungeon.
The York dungeon was the first dungeon that I did and it is still my favourite over London, Warwick, Blackpool and Alton towers.
Another classic Dungeon attraction, I remember when this first was advertised and opened in the mid 80's in 86 :-)
We spend so much time watching this channel! Mainly for Sean & Alex really. Genuinely fun to watch. The highlight of all the shows has to be the food review!

The new witches scene they added this year was amazing, definitely better than the ones at Warwick and Towers.
I went over a year ago and in the courtroom I was ‘guilty’ got asked to dance naked, was really funny. Then the end scene, the person who got found guilty got burnt! Brilliant effects and I had to read something and nod to the guy if I wanted to play along screaming etc. Everyone was shouting “burn the witch” while I was turned around to disappear. My family didn’t know where I had gone lol! I won’t be doing it again as I hate getting put in front of a crowd! 😂
Little spoiler looking back at the photos we got, the sign you hold shows which bit you’re going to be picked out of your group for. Which mine said “guilty” “dancing naked” 🤗
Today i went on colossus at Thorpe park at the very back and god never ride it at the back it was so painful such bad head-banging the ride is smoother towards the front
Just got back in from going there today, had a fantastic time, the New witches scene is fantastic, I had the same box lifting scene as Alex!

Having now done all the UK Dungeons my Fav is the Edinburgh one. For me has the most unique scenes with the sawney bean section (sorry if thats spelt wrong) Certailnly providing a jump or two as the actors appeared from various trap doors....
This is a bit random, but thank you. We're at the year anniversary of Quarantine in the US, and the travel nostalgia is hitting me hard. York was always my favorite place to visit. Funnily enough, I went in late 2014, and I distinctly remember there being a witch trial scene. Anyway, thank you for this existing so I can drown in my York nostalgia. You were both pleasant and entertaining to watch. I am now all the more determined to revisit the dungeons as soon as it's safe.
I live in York, for those that aren't into dungeons yorvick viking attraction is good not atall scary. Also for those wanting something different magna science centre at Sheffield is good and stockeldPark in Wetherby is fun!! X
Im going to the York dungeon. I’ve done the welcoming and I’ve done all the Thorpe park mazes. Is this anywhere near as scary as them

Sounds Good, I went to the Warwick Casstle dungeon today, and had a really good run through, I've only done the London one before and this was much scarier and funnier, and the witches of Warwick scene was really good, even though it was predictable what was going to happen it still scared me. I preferd it to the London one.

10 tellys on the floor . This is small and compact I still think blackpool duegoen is the better 1 . Not done London in ages . But I also find madam tuasands in London is the best

I visited the York Dungeons in Feb of 2008 with my wife and enjoyed the different actors / actresses entertaining us with different themes from history. This is where it get's a bit spooky !!….. I had just left the 18th century court where we had all been sentenced to penal servitude in Australia... and found I was a bit behind the rest of the group and walking through a passage which was extremely dark. I suddenly felt a hand in the small of my back, propelling me forward quite sharply. I thought it was one of the actors hiding behind a dark curtain or something trying to scare me... but when I turned around to say something in jest, their was simply nobody there. I am six foot two and weigh in at fifteen and a half stone, so I don't 'shove' easily. I was too spaced out by the experience to mention it to the staff there and then, but a couple of years later on a second visit I did mention it to them. They stated that odd incident's like mine have been recorded before. Watch your back people.
I went to the dungeons today
I don't think I will ever have the guts lol to do a dungeon fully. I did it when I was young and was sick in the plague room scene. I was terrified. I had to stop and alert the actor who completely came out of character and ushered me out.
I remember the first scene which was plague but clearly has changed. It still has the waiting room tho which I remember and the creepy projection on the face.
And the waiting room was surrounded by fire

its for kids there isnt any adult rides if i remember correctly n iam from derbyshire

I used to go here often when I was younger. It was the first dungeon I visited. One time we were queuing to get in, Darren Day was standing at the stage door of the theatre to get in. A few of the girls in the line got excited at seeing him that day, he acknowledged them.
The Edinburgh one is good as well. They have a boat ride in it. You've got the castle there as well and plenty of other things to do and see north of the boarder.
