Wow Tyler, I thought I understood these chapters, but my heavens! You've given me so much more insight into Alma dealing with his wayward son that I can apply to myself. I'm only 1/3 through this podcast but I HAD to say thank you for enlightening my mind and heart. I love the Book of Mormon so much

I find great peace in knowing these are true principles. It also gives hope to every child of God that though justice cannot be denied, God’s merciful arm is always extended to us. We choose. How marvellous!!

Thank you all for your comments, and thanks Once Again for another Amazing and important lesson. AND also thanks for all those who bring us these lessons weekly. If I have not said that recently. Yes, Taylor is missed. And very glad we still have Tyler, and sometimes a helping hand with these lessons.

Thank you for the substantial inputs about the principles of the gospel.
I love the truth about you harvest/reap what you planted/sow. I think we are sometimes like Corianton who are veiled with worldlythings and tends to not seeing tender mercies of the Lord.
I love the 4 Es principles as well.

As I was studying theses set of chapters. It felt like God was speaking to me with the current situation that I’m in. The more Alma says “My son” the more I hear Gods speaking in my ears. I’m so grateful for this Gospel.🤍

Brother Griffin...as I was listening to this lesson I just thought I would share a bit of my experience. My life was filled with anti lds as some...not all, but many spout off about the wrongs of the lds Church so during my church research the two churches I avoided were the lds and the JW, but there was one thing I could not get out of my head...normally if u are accused of something there is some kind of evidence to support the accusation....evil, for example shows up in many forms...what captured my attention of the lds however is that the ones I began to run into I could never classify as evil...the truth or and the lie is pretty consistent...they validate each other almost, but when your eyes see a difference from what your ears may hear...something simply is not right so it prompted me to investigate and eventually join so I credit those few lds that I had the opportunity to work with in a play or in scouts for allowing me to see another side of the lds outside of the common propaganda...I'll always b grateful to those Saints whose actions were the deciding factor as to what they really believed.

In the chapters 39-42 inclusive, I counted 27 "my son" verses. This leads me to draw two conclusions, Alma is his father, and Alma forgot Corianton's name.
