(But only if the original form is valid in the challenge, like mega ampharos shouldn't be allowed to a dragon type nuslocke since in the original form it's not a dragon, same to Gyrados and Charizard X.

But even then, you wouldn't be able to get their Mega Stones until the post game. So don't stress about it. We all forget things from time to time. Currently playing through X as my first “hardcore” nuzlocke. It gets pretty stressful and I’ve lost a few good mons. My favourites were Lucario dying to a crit Thunderbolt vs the Lightning gym leader, and sacking 2 mons to catch an Absol which was crit in its first battle. Definitely the way to play Pokemon if you think they’re too easy.
I completely agree! It makes these games that are way too easy actually quite the struggle sometimes! That's so unlucky, and sacking 2 mons to catch Absol sounds horrifying😅
