Zeus is gonna win dude. Odin just hides behind his magic because he knows that he can die
According to Hesiod and some others, Zeus had a way to punish immortals, trough the waters of Styx. When gods sweared by the Styx, they were bound to the worst type of oath. If they breake the oath, Zeus would make them drink the water of Styx: they would lose their powers (if they were turned to mortals is not clear) for ten years. So this would not work with Odin since he would never make a oath with Zeus.
I have two theories of how Odin could win: 1) If Odin hears about Zeus and he wants to battle him, he could use Hunnin and Munnin to learn about him and the greek gods. Knowing about all of what Zeus can do, including his weapons and powers, Odin could make a good stragety againts the king of the gods. In the case of Zeus seeing the future better than Odin, let's not forget that he is also very arrogant. When he sees fate, he sees what he wants to see: stabing Odin with the Harpe and that's enough. But when he feels victorius, the "Odin" that he killed dissapears and Gugnir is thrown cutting Zeus' arm, where the Aegis was hold. Yes, remember that Odin can clone himself (Gylfaginning), and he is a trickster like Loki. So he takes Zeus by surprise and he can win. 2) My second theory is about Odin's fourtheen spell, the one that allows him to know the names of all the gods. Being a god of knowledge, Odin can use it to learn Zeus' TRUE NAME. Meaning, that he learns everything from him, from his birth to his maximum power. With that knowledge, Odin can persuade Hera to help him (using the seventeenth spell) and helps him to ambush Zeus with his magic, destroying Methis' wisdom and making Zeus to give birth to the second child who is prophesied to destroy him. What do you think? Could one of those theories work?

I think in a 1v1 coliseum style Zeus wins. But if Odin wanted to kill Zeus he would probably exploit Zeus many psychological weaknesses (like his love for mortal woman) over a long period of time without Zeus noticing and gain the upper hand. It would just depend how the battle occurs. Odin is a strategist before being a brawler
like when he made a group of slaves murder each other with sickles while trying to grab a magic whetstone, he'll just throw a woman into Olympus and the Gods will tear each other apart trying to get to her
I'm under the impression that Zeus could turn off the power of the other gods because he is the head of his house, he has authority over them as patriarch. Odin is master of his own house though, Zeus has no authority over him. Anywhooo...
Ther are two reasons why I don't think zeus kuld take away Odins godhud. 1. Odin can't be cursed and this ability *culd* be cald a curse. 2. Zeus was abile to take away the god hod of the other goods because he was ther king. (He is the Mythological sky father the king of gods and a king can take a way your royalty but the king of Greece can't joust take a way the royalty of a Norwegian Jarll.)
5:56 I disagree with this logic. Unless you are shown to be capable of resisting/countering the hax your opponent uses, there should be no reason to believe you're capable of resisting/countering your opponents hax just because you are physically stronger/have a much greater destructive capability. Hell, Dragon Ball itself doesn't agree with this logic. Goku's haki was shown to be able to work on Fused Zamasu in the Dragon Ball manga, after all.
@@cheese3024 That is my point. Zeus' power over the Greek pantheon comes from his authority as its king, not from any physical ability. Zeus is not Odin's king, so Odin would not be subject to Zeus' authority.

I’f you watch the “how strong is Zeus” video you can see he literally gave Odin all the advantages, from Zeus lighting being simple electricity and not the crafted divine weapon forged by the cyclops, and using base Zeus and not Jupiter or Orpheic Zeus.
I’m pretty confident that Odin would win just cause Odin has more powers and is all seeing so therefore it would be impossible for Zeus to pull a sneaky one on Odin cause he could see him planning said attack. This isn’t the same as foresight tho this is just Odin’s ability to see anything in the present. Also Odin has far better feats than Zeus mainly cause Odin was able to defeat Ymir, and sure Odin had some help in this, however it was mainly him that did this. Zeus on the other hand’s arguable best feat was defeating his father Kronos, and even then he needed his 2 brothers to help him, however Kronos isn’t nearly as powerful as Ymir, who is practically omnipotent and the embodiment of all life, while Kronos high balled is basically just a time god. This idea of Odin being more powerful than Zeus is backed up even further by Greek mythology due to the fact that there is a being similar to Ymir in Greek mythology which is Phanes and Phanes is far more powerful than even Zeus, and according to the Orphic tradition of Greek mythology, the son of Zeus that would overthrow Zeus would actually be an avatar of Phanes. Therefore Phanes is canonically more powerful than Zeus and Phanes is basically the Greek equivalent of Ymir. Sure it could be argued that Phanes is possibly more powerful than Ymir, due to Phanes being more Demiurgic in nature, however their power is at least somewhat comparable and Odin’s power is at least somewhat comparable to that of Ymir, while Zeus is canonically even weaker than a mere avatar of Phanes so therefore I believe that Odin could beat Zeus. However I would rlly like to see a video possibly about the Celtic god Cernunnos vs Zeus, because I think it would be incredibly interesting and apparently there hv been actual historical wars, over who is more powerful.
Ymir could be compared to uranus, which was defeated by cronos, cronos was trembling just by hearing the fight of zeus and typhon in the theogony (fight that Zeus won, and didn't even get a hit from typhon) so zeus is more powerful than his father, he only needed the help of his brothers for the other titans that were helping cronos
Also if Odin is all seeing Zeus could just move the Aegis at any time and cause fear and terror in odin, and so zeus could just find him and kill him easily
No gabo1978, Phanes was eaten by the titans not Zeus, Google it, and even then it was all a giant plan for him to resurrect himself, and it is stated in Norse mythology that Ymir was indeed rlly rlly powerful and practically omnipotent cause it took a whole army of gods to take him down, and Surtur is one of his offspring and the embodiment of Ymir’s own rage and he ended up soloing all the Norse gods and caused Ragnarok
In my opinion Odin wins. Zeus has more raw power but the curses of Odin and his immunity to them are two exploitable, especially in such a wise and humble god as the All-Father. As Fate dictate when Zeus and Odin will die, the battle will necesarly end in a stealmate or will be interrupted by another battle. The curse of Odin will be this: "Ragnarok will not be today, yet your son will come riding in a horse and with his throne in mind". With this curse, the battle will go on for a bit, but Zeus' son will join Odin and kill Zeus.
I don't think he would do that, messing with the Christian is bad enough they always want their god to be above everyone else and will rage if this don't happen and the Hindus can be even worse.

Zeus is inmortal, i dont see how he could get tired from chasing a woman
And zeus isnt that dumb, he planned all the trojan war predicting everything
Still Zeus's only weaknesses in the psychological department can be still exploited by a strategist by odin.
@@lmn1871he may be immortal but he can still die
like when he made a group of slaves murder each other with sickles while trying to grab a magic whetstone, he'll just throw a woman into Olympus and the Gods will tear each other apart trying to get to her

I disagree with this logic.
My personal opinion as to why Zeus can't depower Odin is because Odin is not an Olympian.

The revelation of moses implies higher levels of angels compare to canon fodder angels like angels compare to US.
(Also, dipshit, kabbalhism is part of Abrahamism)
But yeah, our material multiverse is among the lowest one as described in the tale of bahamut (where you'll find Falak), with their size being infinite but still all able to fit under greater levels of creation (and again, apocrypha has angels who show off by growing larger than many levels of reality).

We still have no idea what the initial Norse myths were like since we only have Christian retellings
odin: "I am he allfather"
Zeus: you wanna learn how many illegitimate kids call me dad?"
and yeah Fenrir is WAY more insane than given credit for here. He made the WHOLE norse pantheon terrified of him as a puppy, and they has to make a magical binding made out of impossible ingredients in order to tie him down... and he's still growing and growing, stronger with each passing day... until the one where even that binding made out of impossibility cant hold him anymore. And by that point, thats a wolf supposedly big enough that his top jaw scrapes the sky while the bottom one touches the earth. And he has fire powers as well at this point. That's what Odin is foretold to die to.
And killing fenrir takes the god of vengeance with a special, gigantic shoe (made of every leather boot scrap cut off and thrown away in the history of ever taken together) to pin down his jaw and not get burned, and Vidar himself is almost on par with Thor in terms of power (which is an INSANE claim as Mythology Thor is just ABSURD)So yeah, being eaten by that that litteral beast of the apocalypse is NOT degrading in the slightest
I’f you watch the “how strong is Zeus” video you can see he literally gave Odin all the advantages, from Zeus lighting being simple electricity and not the crafted divine weapon forged by the cyclops, and using base Zeus and not Jupiter or Orpheic Zeus.
And yet, despite all these advantages, Zeus still curbstomped him
I’m pretty confident that Odin would win just cause Odin has more powers and is all seeing so therefore it would be impossible for Zeus to pull a sneaky one on Odin cause he could see him planning said attack.
Ymir was very weak, in which part of the eddas is it said that que was omnipotent?
Phanes was eaten by zeus in orphism lol
Also we are talking about the classic zeus from the iliad, odyssey and theogony, not the one from orphism
@8:53 you misspoke. You meant to say Odin but you said "Zeus has an exploitable weakness"
Could you Do: rainbow serpent(aboriginal myth) vs quetzalcoatl (aztek myth)?
I think that could be a very interesting fight.
@SirArtoriusGryphon he can't, otherwise, Ragnarok would be undone
@SirArtoriusGryphon oh, what did he change?
Sir... Can you please do one on the angels and demons, like the seven sins and archangels🤔... And one on Hindu deities, and their final bosses
I don't think he would do that, messing with the Christian is bad enough they always want their god to be above everyone else and will rage if this don't happen and the Hindus can be even worse.
Not trying to be a prick to you but in Even the weakest angels can hold multiverses and are as powerful as orphic Zeus if not far higher and just an angel alone would assrape DBZ/DBS and even the vast majority of Anime and Manga combined.
