So the joke with Whitebeard's laugh is that "Gurararara" is the sound of rumbling in Japan. Hence, his Earthquake powers. Oda does this a lot with character laughs. Arlong had "Shashasha!" because he's a shark. Moria had "Keshesheshe" because that's the noise bats make. Perona had "horohorohoro" because she has the Hollow ability.
