Dear Joe: I stumbled across a couple OLD VHS kite flying videos(Prism) tonight and wondered about getting them on DVD's when once again (I'm an old dude and often forget that everything is on YT ) I remembered TH-cam; which introduced me to your truly beautiful kite. I'm 45.got back into flying five years ago and wish I would've done it sooner. It's great exercise, an excellent stress reliever and attraccts curious and friendly people!!! Kite or Die!!!
Your kites are amazing. I just inherited my dads revolution that is ALMOST 30 years old that made it through Hurricane Katrina. I can't wait to try it out!

I own a Flexifoil Parafoil quad and I love that thing I love the feel of the power pulling me haha and I weight 240lbs I would get the best Lat workouts with that thing! I can’t wait until I get my Revolution kite 😂 it’s gonna be fun. I look forward to more maneuverability and control. Theirs only so much you can do with a foil so I’m stoked about this new kite!

Yes Tim Smith, I'll get some power kiting footage next time I go out to the desert! I've been power kiting with the Rev for 30 years. In my opinion it is the safest power kite since the power can be shut of instantly with a small rotation of the handles. Have you seen this light-wind Revolution power kiting demo video?

I was just wondering what’s difference between Super Sonic and Blast
The supersonic is super-fast and super agile. Although both are 'Speed Series' Revs, the Blast will feel slower and much more stable than the Supersonic. But the Blast is very powerful! The Blast will be an easier transition from a standard Rev, but the main characteristics to consider are agility and Power. If your goal is precision control of a Speed Series Rev, for example, the 'Club 38 Speed Master or 'Triple Master' rank, The Blast would be a wise choice. If reckless fun and crazy speed is your game, the Supersonic is a great choice!
Why is thumbs BACK a power off? From 2:39 we see that thumbs BACK is depowering, but how is that possible?? Is the Blast the opposite of a normal Rev in controlling?? With normal revs pushing the the thumbs FORWARD does a stop, so I dont get it, please help :-)
Excellent observation kpfl! All the 'Speed Series' models (Supersonic, Shockwave, Blast, Power Blast 2-4, and Power Blast 4-8) are very sensitive to the 'Angle of Attack'. When flying at speed, thumbs forward will slow your Rev. But this also increases the power while slowing. If you do this aggressively the power increase could possibly lift you off the ground! (You can see 'kite-surfers' do this to create a 'jump') By rotating your thumbs back, the speed goes up but the lift quickly disappears as your Rev 'stalls'. So, the controls are exactly the same as a standard Rev, but the power factor changes the strategy for 'de-powering'.
@@jhadzicki wow! Very interesting!! I tried the Blast today on the beach at 3 Bft and it is a beast! I enjoy the pulling alot and it is very difficult to control. I will have to practice alot and I already know that flying the Blast as your first Rev is not recommended. It behaves completely different in alot of aspect and I am glad I had other Revs before to learn Rev kiting. The Blast is like a stallion you gotta tame, it is a challenge and I am up for it, but my arms say no now 😂
What is worth mentioning: flying the spider after the blast made the spider feel like a little fly and I felt like I could control it much better than before.

@@kupfeli Sounds like you are doing great with your Revs! Find an aspect of the Blast that you like and spend some time there. For example, 'reverse flight' and 'side-slides'. Now fly 'boxes' using mostly 'reverse' and 'slides'. Fly forward, slide down, reverse back, slide up... Now Repeat adding hovers at each corner. Your confidence will shoot up for your Blast skills and also all your Rev flying will improve! Let me know how it goes!
@@jhadzicki Cool! Thanks for the motivating words and the tips!! I will try tomorrow, wind will be 3 Bft then and on thursday even 4, but that is a bit too much right now for me, but I will try though!! The most awesome move for me is rotating the rev around a tip, which is quite hard. I can do it a bit with the Spider, but the Blast needs other attention for me right now. I will try the moves you propose. Will update with my progress here :-)

A question: is this orange line connected correctly? Should the middle line of the top bridle be BELOW the 2 other lines, as seen in this picture I made now: imgur.com/a/TG2PM9j
Normally I have green on top, but as these lines are new I now changed top to bottom, to evenly distribute stretch, even though they are pre-stretched in the factory

Where can I send you the video I would like to try to fix bridal if not I’ll just purchase one soon as your sister emails me which I’m waiting for there’s nothing wrong with my bridal just that the knot was not made on my vertical string that goes from the leading edge to the bottom post either way if you can help either to purchase new bridals Or fix mine thank you for your time
