In this DCS World Simulator video I'm un the F15 Eagle fighting the SU47 Berkut in both a gun fight and a Fox2 Fight, Hope you guys enjoy!
I love playing simulators, I started with Arma 3 and then I saw DCS World. I also enjoy War Thunder , Battlefield , Ghost recon, Squad , Rome total war, Microsoft Flight Simulator and more. I also enjoy World War II games including il-2 In DCS World i found all the jets that i wanted to fly in a simulator the F 16 Viper , FA 18 Hornet , F 15 Eagle , A 10 Warthog , SU 27 , Mig 29 , P 51 , Spitfire , AH 64 Apeche , Heuy and more... And if you will download MODs the options are endless: F 22 Raptor, SU 57 , A 4 Skyhawk , SR 71 Blackbird , Rafale, Gripen and the list goes on.
My PC Specs:

Hey, I've always wanted to fly the 47 but I can't find a good version? Which one are you using and can we get a download link?
So this proves the age old wisdom of "Never fight your opponents fight" The F15 should never merge with a jet like the SU-47
Unfortunately for the Russians they only built one Su-47, so it's likely the F-15 never will merge with one. 😁
And if you somehow end up in a merge, 2-CIRCLE!!! 😂
@@truthseeker9454 off course there is only 1 built . Thats experimental thing for testing plane with reverse sweep wing.
RSW had Advantages of:
1) Significant increase in lift force when flying at subsonic speeds. The following two points automatically “follow” from this.
2) Several times shorter runway run-up length. For some time, the Su-47 has been regarded as a deck fighter project, for which the run-up and runway length (the minimum required runway length during takeoff/landing) is of great importance.
3) Improving controllability at extremely low and subsonic speeds.
Disadvantages of the reverse sweep wing:
1) The main disadvantage of this arrangement is, first of all, the so-called effect of elastic divergence of the wing when reaching certain speeds and angles of attack, which implies twisting of the wing with its subsequent destruction. Hence, the second point “follows” from this.
2) Significant increase in airframe mass with forced increase in wing structure stiffness.
3) Less combat survivability of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (from which the Su-47 airframe and wings are mainly made) compared to titanium and aluminum alloys. Metal-based composites are better able to cope with high pressure and stall loads.
Remember Su 27 is heavy fighter for long range fights like F-15 (Massive radar , huge array of missiles, large fuel reserve for thousands of kilometers) and also can use against groud vehicle .
For the purposes for which the SU 27 was born, the reverse sweep wing was only detrimental.
I think a reverse sweep wing would be good for wingman drones.
Would, could, should. All we know is that F-15 isn't invincible. If the Su-47 was in service today then obviously it would have the latest radar and missiles, furthermore it actually would be stealthy (ofcourse not as well as the Raptor or F-35 but better then majority of fighters flying today), unlike the Felon, Berkut has S-duct intakes, give it RAM and its pretty decently stealthy.

Love how you never give up and keep getting better until you score a victory! At the end of the day, the Eagle would decimate the Berkut in BVR.
How about a Hornet vs. Berkut fight? The Hornet's AOA ability should make that one interesting.

That was a rough fight- i wondered if vertical fighting and vertical 2 circles could do it ,as the eagle's only edge is it's high thrust i'd think
I thought the same thing. Especially when the Berkut was taking his sixk. Maybe escape with vertical flight long enough to roll over at least to evade.
I hope the guy who flew the Berkut was the same guy who flew the Rafale against the Raptor! Revenge, lol

From what I read the Berkut demonstrator never exceeded 6g’s since it wasn’t safe due to the wings possibly snapping. A 9g Berkut was never demonstrated so this is a truly fictional aircraft.

Yeah, without thrust vectoring, that's a tough plane to beat. Of course, it never really worked - nobody has been able to figure out how to make the wings strong enough to handle the bizarre stresses. Maybe 360 degree thrust vectoring and widely spaced engines will do it. And for wing material - who knows. Maybe a graphene-based composite - graphene is, pound for pound, 200x stronger than steel.

Berkut's highest G load is 17, but it is impossible for a person over 9G and Berkut fixes 9.1G with an automatic lock. 🤣

I really was hoping you would be in the su47. The Su 47 is a work of art to me. Like all flanlers it is beautiful. But in more of a sparrow kind of way. While the 35 and 33 look like cardinals. And the 57 looks like a blue jay.
The 47 has a beauty that is it's own. The forward swept wings. Would have been super impressive to see it with thrust vectoring engines too. But the purpose was to design something with tremendous agility at low speeds, and design a shape with low radar cross section. It was the soviet first attempt at a stealth aircraft and design.

About what you said on Su-47 exterior - I'd agree, probably the only flanker offspring, which look I don't like.
I've seen Berkut long time ago in Moscow when I was a kid, and even then it seemed weird and unnatural, compaired to Su-27 and F-15.
It's definitely not graceful looking, but very aggressive which still has an impact. A nicer livery would go a long way too.

Seven rounds within 9 minutes should tell you something....DON'T dogfight a SU-47 with an F-15. For those that like the SU-47, you should remember that just like the X-29, the forward swept wings carry problems of their own, especially at supersonic speeds. The SU-47 pretty much had to replace the wings every time it went into combat due to stress fractures, as the wing wants to bend. Great subsonic design, but not really versatile enough to be mass produced, and definitely not an interceptor.
The 47 never went into combat, thankfully for us. It was an experiment. There was only one ever made and the program was supposedly cancelled

Yeah it was hobs though. When it comes to HOB fights russia has the advantage with HMD locks. I feel like a better fight against the 47 would be the Hornet.
It's barely a real plane (like one or two ever made) with completely hypothetical performance as modded in DCS. Might as well fight against a TIE fighter from SW or a Banshee from Halo.
