    Beyond incredible victory for Marquez, on a clear inferior bike to the GP24. That was such a special performance. So unlucky at the start with the tear off going under his tyre, dropped back, and came back to win again. Marc on the latest GP25 next year dominates, no doubt. The fastest ever, the best ever, the GOAT! #MM93

    Never been an MM93 fan, but after the summer break I realized Marc was riding 'like he used to' - owning that Ducati.
    I swear I heard Jaws music, and really believe he can pull off another late-career title in 2025.

    As you mention, this new generation haven't seen MM at his best till this year and they are worried already. JM knows this year is his last chance. PB has VR in his ear all the time, hence keep saying how MM won't get in his head...even though MM hasn't said anything.
    I think JM is gifted but so many of this statements and mistakes give you an indication as to why Ducati have rejected him twice.
    In the words of Frankie, they have no idea what they are in for next season.
    And finally, If it wasn't for MM, many of these races would be dull without him (wouldn't surprise me that he has made more overtakes than everyone else put together)

    • @sburns2421
      @sburns2421 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Ducati simply has (had?) so many strong riders available for next year they could be picky. Martin may be the fastest rider at the moment, but as a total package was he preferred to Pecco or Marquez? Tough decision for Gigi who to keep and who to decline for the factory team.
      I have to think insider knowledge during May-June was that Pramac was gone for a big payday from Yamaha regardless, and that the other factory bike(s) would go to VR46.
      Marquez then would know his only route to a GP25 was through the factory team, hence his insistence on that contract.
      Martin may have realized this was his only route too, and signed quickly for Aprilia before the best other rides were taken.

      @@sburns2421 top reason they pick marquez is that they dont wanna lose to him like in 2017-2019 again. if they dont secure him, he will be in KTM with pedro acosta. this will be disastrous.
      ppl seems forget that MM is rookie in ducati (more or less 10months riding it), riding half and year old bike, still can toe to toe with gp24 factory team.
      can you imagine if he master his ultra instinct in KTM?

    • @sburns2421
      @sburns2421 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ianlanford6922 I'm not sure the '24 KTM is even equal to the GP23, but aside from Ducati it is probably the best of the rest. Could Marquez have won races on it? Probably. Another championship? IDK.
      I think what the first several races showed Ducati is that Marquez is still perhaps the best rider in the world, and they would be stupid to let him go. If the '25 KTM was even close to the GP25, the cost to beat him might have been much more than to keep him.
      The big loser here is Martin, especially with Romano Albesiano leaving to go to Honda. The winner with Marquez staying at Ducati is Binder.

    great session guys. so much better than the OMG version. all three of you have great insights and all articulated in a way that the average punter can embrace (I fall into that category even though I've been following bikes since the Mike Hailwood days!!); for me most impressive element of the MM win on Sunday was the fact that he's doing it on last years bike. Head to head with Pecco, beat him by 10 seconds!! Head to head with Martin and comes out on top. and all that after a dodgy start. Just brilliant. Keep up the good work! cheers

    As long as Marquez gels with the 25 bike I reckon he is going to destroy the opposition in a 2019 style. These Ducatis are obviously the best bike on the grid in years and years and Marquez will be stronger and hungrier than ever wanting to get that 7th premier class title.
    The opposition will be seriously worried.

    How good is Marc Marquez?
    -Marquez 345 points, DiGa 150 points,Bezecchi 134 points, Alex 125 points
    -Marc 18 podiums, DiGa 0 podiums, Bezecchi 1 podium, Alex 1 podium.
    -we had 34 races this season (17+17), Marc was fastest GP23 in 33 races, only race where Marc wasn't the fastest GP23 is sunday's race in Indonesia. He was 2sec behind Bezecchi before his engine problem.
    -Pecco won last year 467 points with GP23, Martin won 428 points. Marc has 345 points now and 6 races (3+3) more. He still has the chance to reach Martin's 428 points from last year.
    But there is a big difference, Marc is a Ducati rookie and he is racing against GP24 and 2024 KTMs and Aprilias, Pecco and Martin raced against GP22 ans 2023 Aprilias and KTMs

      "he needs a better bike underneath him..."
      People rarely say these about Marquez, especially now that he is comfortable on the year-old Duc. If he is upright, he will be passing people and causing general consternation among the riders on track.

      IMO Pedro isn't quite at the level of the others mentioned, but he will hopefully get there. I worry he stunted his career by staying loyal to KTM, but two more years of best of the rest bike status he will have big decisions to make for 2027 and the new rules. You never know which bike will get it right. Maybe he sticks with KTM 2027-28 and it is a dog, and he first real chance at a championship isn't until 2029!!!
      With that said, KTM probably has the strongest 4-rider lineup of everyone for next year, including Ducati.
