I thought it only happens when the big ones try and attack you and there is other ones near it
they stacked in top of each other to reach you
Salmonoids do this, too, if you hang on a wall for too long.
This has happened to me in salmon run and I’m fucking scared for splatsville

LUCKILY since its the same clip didn't take too long BUT there was an idea of using different clips now THAT would've taken so LONG
motion tile makes it super easy!
I would just say "okay that one doesn’t count" when something doesn’t go my way so props 😭

i found your channel around when side order came out and i’ve been binging your content ever since- i admire your patience for these challenges literally so much
Thank you I appreciate it I’ll be patient with these challenges as long as everyone can be patient with my upload schedule LOL but I hope to make even CRAZIER challenges
some notes I gathered during your gameplay:
1. You didn't get much good use with pearl since you can still use her during ground jumps. the speed she moves is faster than your walking speed so you can pretty much just get a faster run for free.
2. Fleeing foes *should* take only one burst bomb if you're able to bunch them all together which you did do at some point, but stopped.
3. asynchronous rondo is technically the worst boss to get out of all the 3 since the pinging marciale can take 1k damage each time it hits a bumper, making it possible to defeat it without dealing any damage at all. the downside of that is the time it takes. (around 40 minutes each phase if you're lucky). the parallel canon could be poisoned (you already found out) so you should be good there.
if you play your cards right and get lucky enough, it should be possible to have around 50 bombs by the time you reach the final boss.
I wish I had this much determination to complete challenges like these

This run is so tragic because it looks like you could have saved so many bombs if you just collected the disc pieces for step off song

And before someone says poison ink, that requires a bomb to activate and doesnt finish (non-boss) levels for you

I think having Pearl with Burst Bomb + Splat Drone Charge (just one of each) can definitely help out a lot. I’ve witnessed Pearl solo Parallel Canon in just over a minute with some drone gauge boosts and Bursts

I do really like the idea of allowing Drone Burst Bomb
Explosion radius and lucky bombs are the play.
Explosion radius means in that stage with that big portal and all the small ones, the big can pop the smalls.
Giant lucky bombs can ink a tun of turf from 1 enemy dieing.
You should use bomb explosion radius because when you blow up a portal it can also blow up the other portals around it

apparently you can put poison ink on the bottom of layered rotator and it will slowly die

@@atlas7168 as a fellow carbon deco main who loves burst bomb, i can confirm i wouldn't be able to spend 3 minutes with only 100 burst bombs
Blast radius (and im pretty sure damage too) affects the portal explosions, in some stages the explosion from one portal can destroy all the others with its explosion, with enough blast radius chips
The beginning was very helpful if I wanted to do this challenge myself but I probably won’t lol

i have never wondered about it before till now. this video made me really wonder if it was possible if i really could beat side order with 100 burst bombs. the only obstacle i face is that i dont have side order.
I remember on one level in Side Order I couldnt use my main for the bonus, and I had ink mines. I didnt think it was possible to use (mostly) ink mines, but it was actually a lot of fun! :D

One strategy for portals is to ink them all let poison do its work then splat one. On most levels the portals are close enough that they splash each other even without splash radius chips

I feel the moving portals at the end will make this much harder.
Unfortunately you didn't get much of it, but if you can mannage to get 4 copies of explosion radius the explosions from portals start hitting other portals on some maps, and with 5 that happens on most portal maps - and with the amount of explosion damage that you need to clear the final boss you get chain reactions and can clear some portal maps - including at least one 5-portal map - with just two burst bombs as a result.
Also, the final boss auto-inks the ground under itself when its shield is down and is immune to Poison Ink as a result. The first phase doesn't have very much HP and shouldn't eat too many burst bombs, but the later phases have a stupid amount of HP.
While the ball sucks for the enemies, you may actually be able to kill it without a single burst bomb at all. By pushing it a la 8 ball into the bumpers. At the very least it will break the shields but if I am not wrong it actually does damage’
Also if you pay closer attention to which stages have the beyblades and bouncy guys you may be able to reduce burst bombs needed by either getting a 2 for 1 or letting poison ink get portals to a state where the bounce or beyblade finishes it. Also squid roll does damage so you could finish some that way.
I think this is possible
Bro tip, the springs from the jumping Jelletons can destroy portals and kill a lot of enemies

You can save a lot of bombs if you use the springy splashdown things when you use the pad they leave behind under a portal I think it does damage.
Fully leveled up broken armor jump can cause death sometimes from the invisible ceiling.
There’s 1 range chip called “blast radius” i think you could’ve have invensted in a little bit, maybe having a few more “kill two birds with one stone” situations. That is, if you would’ve came across it.
I feel like it’s possible if you maxed out the blast range as well as explosion damage because then you could technically knock out multiple portals at once if they were close and if you got lucky and the spinning dudes spawned during the final boss they would’ve helped (and if you had limited them more carefully ex: 8Ball levels then you would have more :p just leave 8balls to the beluga dudes or push them)
Now would be a good time to mention you actually only need 1 burst bomb per portal.(and an extra single one to start). You can actually spread ink with just swimming near the edge, meaning however tedious, it is possible to clear a portal in 1 burst bomb.(minus the one to get any ink on the ground at all)
Undamaged portals are too close to the ground and you can't spread ink to their base to start the poison ink damage as a result of them physically blocking you.
Spreading ink by swimming is exceedingly slow and the enemies will out-ink you

Wait what if you used squid roll? It can deal damage and isn’t a weapon so maybe. Though I’m not sure if you wouldn’t allow it
you can actually reset boss levels with the floor reset hack!! So if you don’t want to fight a certain boss, you don’t have to!
You could use squid attack to possible run 8 balls with no bombs :D
Fortune bomb should be a really great power up
I just did no main no sub no special, only drone and drone chips. no other color palate allowed. came up just short of a full palate, but completed it 3 chips short. Had to retry 2 or 3 times i forget due to getting around floor 12 and get no chips to select. just to get another chance at drone only chips. Still wasnt bad. Sadly didnt have ink strike or killer wail lol

hypothetically you can do it only with curling bombs. i beat it with specials but without the main (and never beat it since lol)
you can in fact beat most levels with only curling bombs. the only ones you dont have certainly for are the turbines since they're sometimes in the air)
Question: why didn’t you use Squid Attack? Was it off-limits in this challenge? You probably could have saved like- 10 burst bombs if you used it.
Nobody try what I just did. Do not try to use pearl sprinkler plus squidroll damage only. It is pain. Pretty much anything that is not eight ball or portals is death.
But most of all, pearl sprinkler just sucks. Like I thought before maybe it was just bad with only a few mods, but no, I got it night fully stacked and it was still awful.
The biggest annoyance I had during the run was not being able to get ink down because pearl just wouldn’t. Eventually I got fed up about by floor 20 but because the build was so bad (gave me 4 rush knockbacks btw) even when I started using the octobrush actually zones was still awful with the rigorous ones, and by the end the run took more than 2 hours. And I must stress again, that was with me cheating just to get ink on the floor and kill the sprinkler dudes.
Why did I just attempt a run that had me focus so much on these awful chips….
I don't know if it goes against the rules but what about Lucky Bomb Drop? They can singlehandedly carry floors with lots of enemies and you would only need one or two burst bombs to start a chain lol

You know forgot to mention I didn’t run lucky bomb cause I only wanted to rely on burst bomb even tho it is technically a chip upgrade and you know I use poison ink

PERHAPS but I think SPLAT BOMB would be the harder sub due to not STICKING to surfaces but maybe someday I will smiley face :)

Tip: Upgrade the pearl drone so that she does most of the work for you. Once fully upgrade she is absolutely op. Don’t worry about the other chips, just get the support chips and use a lot of hacks!
I think the point of the run was to only rely on burst bombs and the ink they spilled, so using the drone's attacks would go against the nature of the run.
