The central theme of the movie is betrayal. Haider's father was betrayed and killed, then his uncle and mother together betrayed him, then his childhood friends, his lover's dad, the whole system of the state etc betrayed him. It is very symbolic that its not just Haider who's betrayed, its the people of Kashmir who are betrayed by the government.
And people of Kashmir are betraying their own country.
Kashmiri pundits were betrayed by Muslims in Kashmir.

There is some thing more painful that happened in kashmir a long before. Kashmiri pandits were tortured , raped , beaten and got kicked out of their own houses. They were made to live like refugees in their own country.

This is one sided movie depicting India in bad light , movies are not meant to be used as credible source of knowledge as your college did, these are all scripted movies based on vested agendas, you must know where funding of bollywood movies comes from
@@abhi22lad it's to know the social aspects of Kashmir the movie was screened as part of film adaptation course and its not one sided movie, watch it multiple times you will get it more .... 'Revenge begets revenge, freedom is far beyond revenge', This dialogue is more than enough to prove its not a single sided film. Of course I know where the funding comes from, but for this movie the director himself funded it who begin his career as independent filmmaker.
@@sauravsuresh6388 I am from Haryana and i know what happened to Kashmiri pandits in the valley, they migrated to our state as well, my sis friend in school who is Kashmiri told that their school was burnt because its owner was a pandit, my mom colleague who migrated to our town told her that they had to flee because their home was marked and a warning was given to them to vacate valley and leave your women here and this used to be a announcement in every masjid on Friday, Its easy to sit and watch one sided aspect of whole situation, they want to create a separate Islamic state independent from India and the problem is only in 5 districts of Kashmir valley not in Jammu or ladakh where majority of population lives in J&K . Did this movie depicts horrible things happened to pandits no right? So they are not kashmiris according to you right
