- Taped from Encore in 2002, here is a great documentary on the "Dirty Harry" movies with Clint Eastwood, hosted by Robert Urich. Lots of interviews and behind-the-scenes footage here! This is part 2 of 5.
42 years later. I'd say a lot of young people have never seen or even know about these movies. You could release Dirty Harry today. And it would probably be a HUGE hit. It does stand the test of time. All the action heroes of today should pay Clint Eastwood for what they all stole from him.
And watch them. It's Dirty Harry. And most aren't done 1/2 as well.
These are truly classics. Dirty Harry was THE man. Then and even now.
Andy would go on to play another iconic character in DS9
A real shame, what happened to Robert Urich. Great actor and a great person. A Very sad story.
Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson, and Bruce Lee are the three most influential action stars in modern cinema. These three men created the template by which all action stars East and West followed.
the movies speaks volumes for today as well, seeing the way things are.
Loving this series of clips. Thanks for posting
Great upload, dude!
Give it up for Andrew Robinson. Amazing actor!
Scorpio reminded me of a Batman villain! Sort of a Counterculture-type eccentric hoodlum with an intellect
I had the pleasure of working with Tyne Daly, as an actor, on "Cagney and Lacey" and she was a joy to behold. A lovely, genuine lady, with a thrilling reality about her. Hollywood could take a lesson from her.
You have to hand it to Clint, for casting her in his film..
Of all the Dirty Harry movies the first was hands down the best. It was the best because Eastwood's Harry was against Andrew Robinson's Scorpio killer. I'd go so far as to say without Robinson playing such a threatening guy the movie wouldn't have been as good. You need that balance, super bad vs the super good.
Good call , in my opinion the Scorpio Killer was so highly developed into a super creep maniac the viewer can't help but root for the cop , silence of the lambs used the same type character development with Buffalo Bill & drew us all in , most modern movies fail to develope the villain enough where the viewers hate their guts & want them dead .
Exactly! That's why IMHO Sudden Impact sucked!
The main bad guy was played by "Hold-Up Man #1" aka "Phil" in Beverly Hills Cop.
And rather than "I'm going to let the girl die-e" or "Do you know how hard it is to prosecute a cop" we got "KILL HER, KILL THE BITCH!"
Just a foul-mouthed asshole, not different to the wanna-be bully we all went to high school with: born a loser and died a loser.
Near the end ,they say early/70's when did we lose control. 2018 totally gone. Them good old days.
Those are the great acting stories, the guys trying to get out of doing the gig, and the Producer or Director demands they stay.
4:42 - :59 Sure makes the movie look good.
mire las 1 espero ver las otras 4¿aguien sabe donde puedo verlas online subtituladas?
8:44 - 9:24 Good point.
2:02 - :15 Pretty smart of Don.
4:27 - :31 :D Yes!
I dont get it, everyone puts tomato sauce on a hot dog??????????? what a weird line...
He meant he was not in the mood for superficial condiment preferences he was worried about crime and corruption not hot dogs.
HELLLLL NO!!!!
Well no one feels bad about Clint mind*ucking the bad guys with some psychological torture because they are horrible psychopaths and it is well established Clint's character is a good man having to fight both the criminals and the system to achieve justice for the victims.
i know who the killer is. its angus young
You've got paid and you'vegot the fame for shooting that, now you said you're forced or you're not comfortable with it,cut the crap
