My mans removed the flex tape from the pickup selector switch.
It's like Goku taking of his weighted clothes.
2nd position!
hahahahaha
@Harrison Mair Loveless. Nice.
*cory switches to the BRIDGE pickup*
NANI??
Rock lee taking off his weights
I'm more surprised fish didn't start leaping into the boat trying to take a bite out of such a big earworm.
Winner
I'm surprised Phish didn't show up and try to jam with them!
LOL
What a superb comment. 😂👍
cute
Perfection. x
What's up Mary. I'm a fan from South Carolina 🔥 keep up your great music as well👍🏼
You’ll have to do a collaboration Mary. It could work! (But I want to play drums if you do! 🙂) Keep up the great interviews and music. 👍
Mary & Cory Is a perfect group...
@@MrCBiologyIreland p0000000
When Mary Spender says 🌠Perfection🌠 I think we should agree! LOL
Wherever Cory is, Petar is. You don't let a drummer like that out of your sight. And vice versa.
Hearing the guitar making the snare wires vibrate while he's starting the song makes me smile. Sounds like an old friend.
it was kept in for a reason
Oh yeah do I know that sound, feels like home .
We just got back to gigs two weeks ago in the U.K. and I’ve been lucky enough to hear that fizzy rumble 3 times already .
Roll on camp Bestival this weekend.
@Becks Shin around :40 you can start to really hear it. :)
@@tonybruce Just out of curiosity: What reason was that in your opinion?
@@mangolassi_. authenticity, relatability. They could have cleaned it up and edited it out but, its like a real live performance. Makes you feel like its just for you.
Can we all please appreciate HOW MUCH quality content has Mr. Wong been publishing lately?!
Finally music from real musicians
What a find! Damnit this is fantastic
we definitely can, or better, we have to!
One year later, and he just can't stop. Seeing him live next week. I, for one, appreciate it so much.
He’s about all I can listen to, for the last year now. Saw the Wong Notes live last month. I’m in! I’m a 69 yr old former weekender musician. I so appreciate something so new in my life.
For those wondering, this appears to be the Jubilee II out of Stillwater River Boats. That places this on Lake St Croix (which is really just a wide part of the St Croix river). I wish I had known this in advance of recording as it's like 15 minutes from my house :D
Thanks for that. I was wondering 🤔
holy shit this was transcendental. What a beautiful instrumental song. Nice to see there is still room for songs like this in the world.
check out Steve Kimock, whom this song reminds me of a bit. th-cam.com/video/lMubnL8sNuw/w-d-xo.html
Jazz has nearly infinite potential.

holy shit Eduardo...i'm going to quote you on this somewhere else when i get a chance...
holy shit...that's all i could think and suckers got me all teared up by the end of it
Getting the John Mayer tone from Live in Los Angeles concert. Check.
Splendid playing!
I NEED this version in my Spotify playlist Cory. NICE, 21 people standing on their heads loving this also.

An absolutely gorgeous cut. Cory's nailing it in every aspect, as a musician, leader, and entertainer.
Why this doesn't have a million hits by now is beyond me. It's simply beautiful.
8:07 Cory Wong turns his head towards Dave Koz in anticipation of "The Nod" from the master, after pouring his soul into the most beautiful solo of his life.
Nice to see others noticed this is one of Cory's most powerful performances.
Man I love how Dave Koz respectfully settles in with the horn line to just let Cory cut fucking loose on this. Two wonderful, beautiful musicians and an amazing band.
This is most ive ever heard you make your guitar “sing”. Which honestly is totally insane, because you are extremely melodic player in general, but I think everyone’s so impressed by your pocket and rhythm so much of the time, that when you play something like this it’s just like fuuuuck, he can really do it all. If you keep doing what you love, you will never stop inspiring us. Thanks for the music ❤️
thought your name was Guitar Gardener
@@markmark9639 great follow up
@@roarythunderbird definitely some interesting names around here...
The residents around that lake got one hell of a show. Amazing.
Came for the rhythm guitar. Stayed for the lead guitar.
On lead, he sounds exactly like you'd expect: You won't hear anything you haven't heard before and heard a lot, but you'll hear it played PERFECTLY. Perfect timing, perfect taste, perfect note choice, perfect space left with pauses and rests - he's a guy who could stand on a stage with any of the Motown Funk Bros., the LA Wrecking Crew, the Nashville A-Team, the Muscle Shoals Swampers, or Booker T. & Co., and absolutely belong there.
Perfectly complemented by the excellent bass player.
Came after the lead guitar.
Absolutely
Could’a swung a bit harder, or laid back. Or not - killer, Corey!
"This is what happens when you become friends with Satriani" - his wholesome mom probably
When ever I get high I listen to this song and it's like I see God every time. One time I wept tears of joy. It's just so pretty.
The dynamics. The arrangement. The tone. The mix. The talent. Just crushing it.
Be sure to invite Joe Dart onto the ocean so we can all have sea bass.
😜😂😂😂🙌👌
I've been learning about the Eulers recently.
They are the biggest rivals to the Steelers in the NFL.
@@aaaaaa2206 Nice 👌
Anyone else noticed the similarity to the title "The Wings" from the Brokeback Mountain soundtrack? Love it!
I thought it was a cover!
Dave Koz: *plays ONE note*
Cory: "let's put his name on the video title!!"
hahaha. it was from a concert stream we did together. but this was one where he was laying in the weeds. figuratively, and...almost literally
He is part of the "meditation" though. Just look at him over there all relaxed and as happy as we are just listening to Cory pour his soul into that guitar like it might be his last day on Earth. It's beautiful!
@@CoryWongMusic lol thanks for that clarification! Beautiful that was amazing!!!
Cory Wong but what a note it was tho mate 😝😂😂
I gotta tell you bud my father is 77 years old and been a devoted Hank Marvin fan all his life no one else gets a look in until he heard you play.
He watches every video and has been looking into getting a neural dsp now for that tone.
You really cant beat the chime of a clean Strat.
Eternal thanks for making my old man a very happy man indeed , he’s had this on loop for a week 🤣🤣😂😂🙌🙌🙌👋👋👋👋
Something of this melody reminds me of “Falling Away with You” by Muse. Very poignant tune.
One of the only times in my life I have heard a song live for the first time before listening to a recording. I saw Cory Wong at Troxy in London on Friday night and was captivated by the soulful beauty of this tune. My twin brother and I were there together and got to share that moment. It was something very special that I'll always remember.
I heard this in manchester a few days before you heard it in london, absolutely transcendental despite the smaller arrangement. it my favourite track from cory before hearing it live, I think now it may very well be my favourite track overall from anyone. it's just absolute perfection.
How am I only seeing this comment now. I echo the sentiment completely. Love you bro
That is the most beautiful musical piece I've heard in a long, long time. Inspired me to play cleaner and more daily. Thanks Cory for the much needed inspiration.
Love LOVE LOVE it when Cory decides to take full flight what a beautiful song his approach is familiar yet refreshingly different. music needs this
The vibe I wish John Mayer would've gone for with his new album.
There's time yet. He's always trying new stuff.
Right i dkont feel it, too poppy
I am getting a lot of paradise valley vibes from this song
Give it time. I never really appreciate a Mayer album until 3 or 4 listens. I already like it tho
Martin Cote I’m the same. I like it more now than I did a few weeks ago when it dropped. It’s not going to compete with Continuum or anything like that as a legendary album but I think he wrote some pretty damn good lyrics.
I have found the most difficult guitar playing is the very quietest notes/chords. Nearly anyone can tap a distortion or fuzz pedal, use the wah and crank up the volume and sound great, but it takes a certain expert, a certain professional to play quietly. Cory does just that. Amazing, wonderful, and a tone to bring a smile to Mother Nature.
Wow, love it!!
I still remember your Star Wars Videos! Good times :)
He closed the show last night in Portland Oregon with this number. Everyone was in the zone, CW delivered all night. Damn good show.
As a fellow Minnesotan, I appreciate you all sacrificing your bodies to the blood sucking birds. So stinkin cool, loved everything about that! Just needed a loon call at the end, would have been the icing on the oof dah cake
GOOD GOD! DON'T DISTURB THIS GROOVE! Amazing Cory! Love it, Love it, Love it! Thank you so much for posting.
This is my favorite guitar track of the last decade, everything about it is perfect ❤️
The bass sounds so good.

Just what I needed to hear right now
Keep coming back to this. Outstanding.
I’m just happy Cory finally decided to use a Tube Screamer! Overdrive is bliss!
Amazing, I can't stop listening to this!!
Oh man I'm gonna come back to this so many times
This mix is unreal! So good!

This is art.
Beautiful!
Imagine if you were fishing one moment on the lake, next minute you're meditating to this beautiful experience.
I love that you added those Jon Batiste piano voicings from the Meditations album, Cory! This is so lovely!
Beautiful
Top notch, Cory! It was really surprising to hear you to play like this, love it.
Cory that's the longest jam I ever seen you do! Awesome man! Love your stuff!
