- I hike eastbound from Foster Bar to Grave Creek on the Rogue River Trail in Southern Oregon. This was my first solo backpacking trip since Boy Scouts and it was a fun hike. I finished the 40 mile trail in two and a half days
I watched your video while preparing for my hike of the Rouge River Trail and am watching it again after just finishing. I really appreciate your knowledge of the trail that you include. It’s often more helpful than people who are recording themselves hiking it for the first time. Thank you for the great video!
My son and I passed you on the trail. We were just completing our journey and you had just begun yours. Great video!
I rafted this river many years ago, what an amazing area. Thank you for filming this trail, well done.
Great video! Amazing guitar work!
LOVE, glad we found your channel. Hello PNW friend💚💚
Nice options for this hike 👍 👣
Loved that waterfall, always feels so nice taking a break near one.
Nice video. Welcome to #SoloGroupHiking 👊🏻

Great video!! Thanks for sharing. It’s so beautiful there. New here can’t wait to see more videos!!
Pretty! Thanks. My friends do the PCT and they usually do about 10 miles a day. 100 miles in 10 days. Are there any fresh water springs along that trail? Looks like it would not be suitable for a horse.
Great Video
Thankyou for taking the time to show us this trail. I live on the coast, and I've been looking to do this hike as a round trip. I'm just ok with heights and I'm a little worried about it. It's hard to tell just how narrow it can be, so I'll put it this way. Do you have room to use both of your trekking poles, or is one just hanging out with no where to place it on the narrow parts? Would you say water is accessible every couple of hours or so, or did you need to carry for longer stretches. I did walk 1800 miles of the AT in 2016 for perspective.
If you did 1800 miles on the AT you should be fine. There's a few spots where there's been slides that the trail is narrow (6:35) but even there I used my trekking poles. The parts where there's sheer cliff are pretty wide.
As for water, it's pretty plentiful on trail. I think the longest carry I had was about 5-6 miles. Some of the sources dry up in the heat of summer, but there's still plenty to be had.
