He can be a bit smug and self centered for sure, but u don't become a great champ in combat sports without having crazy self confidence and belief in urself. @twm1423 No Cap BUT he is Special, to have achieved what he has(in my humble Opinion). Now, with regard to how he feels about himself… I myself have not always been the Biggest Izzy fan. As I have felt the Cringe stuff to be Unbearable at times (frozen like Elsa/questionable antics with pets etc). I can't/won't however just Cap based on stuff that's happened or occurred in his past. As I do however Understand the Importance of One's Ego, its relationship to Many other Significant aspects of our personality & Just how Pivotal All of that Is, especially when one contends to be a Great Fighter.
However, like most people, we tend to reflect on our lives & hopefully we grow & move forwards/progress. It takes us a whole lifetime of ebbs & flows/Checks & Balances/Hardships before we may begin to learn or recognize that. I just really appreciated his candidness & respected his honesty regarding his comprehension towards the level of self awareness displayed in this interview.

Theo - about 58 mins in you’re talking about how you cannot picture yourself with more - as a man in recovery I understand this feeling wholeheartedly- that space is the threshold between fear and faith. Choosing faith is abnormal to a person in recovery and we hit these decisions we know will be good for us in the long run, but we run away from them in fear of change. Take the leap brother. Take the leap of faith every time. When you surrender to these times and lean into your faith great things happen.
