Well, remember this buddy. MLS through Inter Miami got the greatest Soccer player who won 7 times the most prestigious Soccer award, Ballon D'Or. That means it will be a big thing for MLS in history ...
Neither Argentina nor Brazil has hosted so many important soccer events: World Cup 2023 (women), Copa America 2024 and World Cup 2026. Adding a plus with Messi on MLS.
@ecbennyj8078 I'd rather see teams find more Thiago Almada's and develop their own youth players. Also, in the last 10 years there've been 8 different MLS champions. There isn't another league in Europe that can claim parity/competitiveness like that. I don't think they should imitate Europe at all. Most of the clubs are insolvent and the same teams win their leagues every year.
As an argentinian I would never thought I will be excited for MLS !!!! Never say never. I guess 20 millions argentinians are feeling the same as me right now.
@ecbennyj8078 it’s still not happening buddy, the investors would never agree to the and I’m glad they don’t. Who the heck wants to see the same champions year after year while the bottom ones only defend for their lives. Get over it, it’s not happening
Cristiano made a huge mistake joining Saudi, by the time Messi is done he'll own a percentage of Inter Miami, Revenue deals with both Addidas(Lifetime) and Apple TV and a 60million dollar salary...The monster that is Messi just met the biggest Sports market in the world.
@@lox7923yeah I don't y he said "it's not baseball though". Throwing shade like bro no one around the world cares about that sport. It's only you and you are insulting the biggest sport in the world.
Third biggest league in terms of viewers? That I could imagine. But not in terms of quality of the teams. The best players all want to play Champions League and play for or against the legendary clubs with a lot of history. If the US could somehow partipate in the CL then that would make it more possible. But that of course won't work logistically. I also think the MLS needs to think about how to implement relegation in order to raise the stakes for the matches of the bottom teams.
The same was said when Beckenbauer or Pele or Gerd Müller etc etc etc arrived. America COULD be a monster football nation....but American football, Basketball and Baseball are literally ingrained culture.... football not so much....and Im not for sure that can be changed.
For mls fans it’s like lebron at 35 moving from cavs to china etc still the most influential players are ronaldo messi followed by a list of super stars but ronaldo and messi pull / fan base is just huge
0:40 Chill out buddy. Barca was always option No.1 , but it's way to complicated. Then he chose Miami. You need to say it was good first choice i guess. It's better for the league. I just hope The GOAT is Happy now. He was under so much pressure his whole career to outperform himself , being compared to Maradona in his own country always , lack of International trophies etc. He's still under pressure coz of the state of his new team 😂
These guys are clueless by trade "reporters" when it comes to football. Don Garber I expect more from, he lied when he said "league of choice"! He wanted to return to Barcelona 100%. But since they screwed up big time financially and could not guarantee him registration for league play, he wanted no part of another emotional circus that they put him through the last time. He is sick of crying on TV for Barcelona so he wanted a different experience. He sure doesn't have the pressure he had in Europe that is for sure. The product (competition) is inferior to elite leagues. It's a reality of our structure.
They have the wrong guy doing this interview. You can't know any less than he does about MLS or the sport. Clueless. Something tells me he's proud of it. It seems like he's super sleepy or drunk.
