Classy horn version of this great ol soul tune! I enjoyed this very much. Well done, wish I could have been there to sing a few bars with you guys. Congrats from the Livingroom!
My next album is already a work in progress. I have 4 tracks completed so far and two just getting underway. Just need a few more after that to complete the album. My next single "Get Into it!" will be released on July 15th. Stay tuned. :)
Wonderful playing by both of you. Mike Rogers guitar sound is so clear and complementary to the smooth sound of your Flugelhorn. Hats off to you both. Where could I get the sheet music Solo transcription that you played? I am picking up the trumpet again and would love to have a go playing along with you. I have the piano sheet music by Sylvia written in D. Thanks for the beautiful music. I am so glad I have discovered your music
If you mean the transcription of the Fugelhorn that's a live performance I and was not reading any music. I just played the lead off the top of my head of what I remembered the song to be. There are online service that provide transcriptions at a reasonable cost so maybe look into that. You can also purchase software to transcribe such as AnthemScore.
@@BillColletti Thanks for the advice. I will look into AnthemScore. Your ability to improvise like that is amazing. Thanks for taking the time out to reply. Happy New Year to you and Mike Rogers.
Thanks Bill, I played one at a local music shop here some years ago and was impressed with the ease of playing in all ranges. I did not care for the built in mouthpiece but it must work out .
Hi, I have the Wick 4FL on my amazon wish list ha ha,along with the King silverflair trumpet! I have a Dennis Wick 4W Cornet mp a very nice Cornet mp. I also have a Denis Wick heavy top mp 3C ,similar to a Bach Megatone. My favorite flugel mp is Bach Megatone 3FL. I do use a Blessing 3C fl and a Jet tone fl mp ha ha so I have a varied mp collection to choose from while playing my very light weight Couesnon flugelhorn 1969 version. I have noticed current flugelhorns are much heavier then my Couesnon flugel.
Always come back to this smooth sound
BEAUTIFUL! I always loved this song. One of so many gems of the 1970's.

Yes,Nice flugel playing here Bill and Guitar and arrangement. Flugel looks like it might be on the heavy side with thatmic on the bell?
The mic isn't really heavy. Flugel is on the heavy side compared to a standard but it does have a nice tone.
Thanks Bill, I played one at a local music shop here some years ago and was impressed with the ease of playing in all ranges. I did not care for the built in mouthpiece but it must work out .
+John Healy Mine does not have a built in MP. I'm using a Dennis Wick 4FL.
