I got amiibo mini cards on Amazon for $20 ( probably a little higher now) and it included 24 npcs. There was a bunch of tier 1 amiibo in the set. You can also buy huge sets off Wish if you're willing to wait a month
Wish Nintendo would reprint these! I've spent SO many nook mile tickets (probably closing in on 100) looking for Kyle, Lobo and Wolfgang but I haven't found any of them. Of course their amiibo cards also happen to be among the most expensive.

This reminds me of the mystery cards for webkinz back in the day. It reminds me of how excited I was when I got a character card that I could use in the game
I am an OTR truck driver so New Leaf was a constant in my life. Every time I cycled home for time off I would buy three or four packs at Toys 'r' Us. Later when Pocket Camp was big i was still playing New Leaf and getting great deals on eBay for cards i wanted. Nintendo needs put out a new wave AC amiibo but this time make them beanie babies. Who wouldn't shell out crazy money for small soft toys of Whitney, Ankha, or Raymond that you could also scan into your island?
I can see this becoming the new Pokémon cards. Of course Marshal would be like that one old school Charizard everyone wanted. Everyone would be trading.... then suddenly! Scams. You end up trading all your good unused characters for Marshall only for it to be used. Maybe not the best idea now that I think about it...
Nintendo only sell them in packs of 3 in the U.K. and they are usually out of stock. I gave up trying to buy any of the official cards and ordered some copies instead. It’s a shame that they are so difficult to get hold of. It would be nice to have the genuine article.

Mac was one of my starter villagers and he's so cute lol. I always consider getting rid of him though, but my bf tells me I absolutely cannot because he's his favorite lol. I've given him a lot of gym equipment to make up for his crappy starter home

It’s important to note that just because cards are listed for $20 or whatever that it doesn’t mean they are *selling* for that much. You have to see if there are bids on cards or what the seller has sold cards for.

I was looking for some amiibo cards three weeks ago but could'nt find any in stores (I'm in France). I don't know when they are going to be available, it is a pity with New Horizons released two months ago. Fortunately I had a few cards already, including Lily, Rosie, Cookie and Redd😊
I have an Android phone so I can just download the amiibo data and then use an app to connect to my switch and then boom. Dreamie in the campsite. I've used this to get Cookie, Roald, and Zucker.
You are nuts!! I have over 450+ I used to play New Leaf , and got them over a few years, so not worth that go to the official nintendo store, they're regular price- all the new characters don't have Amiibos yet
You can’t find them in stores now...but if you download the Mercari app you can buy cards there just as an FYI to anyone interested the prices that sellers are offering these cards for can run from high to low depending on the character you want. I bought most of my the cards I have now(I wanted all cats) but I bought Merry($15), Rosie($15),Kid Cat($19), Cherry($36) and Mitzi($20) from Mercari for a reasonable price. Cherry was the highest and the lowest price I got at the time on Mercari. I tried out these two custom cards from EBay for $8.99 to get Marshal and it worked...so I ordered Ankha to try it out again.(still waiting for it to come)
I was buying Amiibo cards on Mercari and then I found out that Android users can duplicate Amiibo. I can buy just about any villager from Etsy or Mercari for $1.50 to $2.00 per card. Recent examples that I bought for that price is Fauna, Lucky and Merengue. You don’t get the fancy card but you get a working coin that allows you do the same thing. Saves a ton of cash. I enjoyed the suspense of watching you open the cards though and a second video would be fun. I vote do it again
I really want amiibo cards because I used to get pokemon cards, so I feel this would be a similar thing for me. The only reason I can't is they're EXPENSIVE for a pack of 6. 20-30 dollars for a pack of SIX. I think it was like 80 for three packs. Idk maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places

I spent about £80 on U.K card packs (which contain only three cards) at the normal price £3.50 a pack from nintendo website, i didn’t buy them all at once and would lost my duplicates on eBay, over time I got three beaus and two Ankhas and with the other duplicates I got i ended up getting £190 from auctions on ebays. I listed them at 99p with no reserve and was amazed at how much people wanted to pay for them.

$48?! These packs are still readily available on the official Nintendo website here in the UK for £3.50 per pack, which is around $4.40.
