it's mainly due to local industries. RDU is located next to RTP (research triangle park) which is the home to many headquarters of large corporations, including glaxosmithkline. the company also has a headquarters in london, which is where the AA flight flies to. it is mainly for businessmen, but is great for international travelers who don't want the hassle of going through JFK, EWR, PHL, OR ATL to travel across the atlantic
I'm flying in to RDU on sunday sept 14 for my vacation.I hope I get a chance to get up the observation deck also.Great place for photo's and video so it seems. Thanks for posting this vid.
Well Actually. They do it every year. Its basically like a Seasonal Change. I believe once it hits Jan or something like that its bumped back up to the 772.
everyone's comments are greatly appreciated...a little bit of bad news: the daily AA 777 flight to London has been downgraded to a 767, probably due to high fuel costs, and the fact that the 777 was only full a couple flights a week
they also didnt downgrade because o high fuel costs, actually the777 has a more efficent engine and uses less gas for a longer distance. they downgraded vbecause they needed 777 for longer hauls like shanghai
they actually downgraded because they needed 777 for longer hauls like shang hai and stuff like that. sin ce aa ordered 34(or something aroung there) b787 there is a small chance rdu might get 777 back =] =] =]
