😂 that's my holler at my grandbabies...recently realized we've spoilt them rotten with eating out!!! And yes we're southern folk and I spell like i talk😂😂😂
Braedon with his Mmmm of approval and that smile just melts this mama's heart. Momma Brooke, you did well with this copycat recipe. I love this "We have food at home, y'all!" series. "I'm loving it" - Lol, good one Brooke.
I found a Big Mac sauce that is so close it’s crazy! 1 cup mayo 1/4 cup creamy French dressing 1 tbl ketchup 2 tbl sweet relish 1 tsp white vinegar 1/4 tsp onion powder 1/8 tsp salt It’s so close yall I would say it’s actually it 😃😃
I found the same walmart sauce that she used years ago and I think it's exact! But your fresh sauce sounds terrific and I'm definitely going to try it!
I took it to a bbq over Memorial Day to a bbq at a friends house who has his favorite burger sauce. He says let me taste but I really like mine. He loved it and asked for the recipe 😃
When I make it I use ketchup and a dash of W sauce ketchup is a must I think. I will pick up some French Dressing and try it in my mixture. I haven’t had that since I was a kid didn’t think that made it anymore.
Dusty is so sweet saying “it tastes better than a Big Mac”……. I’m guessing your cooking is. MUCH MUCH BETTER than the Big Mac. Love your videos, keep them coming ❤💪
Your burger looked so much better that McDonalds for real! Their burgers have shrunk so much and their prices are ridiculous now, that it isn’t worth eating there anymore! Great job Brooke❤😊
Facts. I never buy fast food anymore. My husband and I grabbed some real quick like a year ago and Idk if it was just extra salty or if we are just not used to eating it, but God, it was soooooo salty. 😂 No ty.
My dear goodness, gracious, you really don’t even realize how much fast food is until you break it down and make it at home, you’re doing an awesome job showing everybody how you can enjoy fast food without the fast food prices and it’s definitely better for you, instead of stuff sitting in its own grease half the day, you made fresh and tasty, the look on everyone’s face says it all, love you and your videos and can’t wait to see what’s next!
Miss Brooke I am loving all these videos. We’re currently in a different era for spending and a lot of these are helping me get out of my ruts. I love seeing your babies enjoy the food. It’s half the enjoyment of cooking as a mom. I need that sauce. Those burgers looked way better than Mcd.
I was told thousand island is the closest to big mac sauce. We do weekly fast food night,, we decided we were spending way way too much money on fast food. We can spend the same amount of money on ingredients in the store and we get several meals out of it.. we save the extra money for other things and has given a bit more spending money and we control the ingredients :)
I kno this comment qill never be seen by Brooke because I am days behind but even the cooking shows on television say that a "seasoned pan" like the one you showed us is best, especially for browning. I like my burger patties brown not gray. Be proud of that seasoned pan 😂😊. Thanks for all you do!
It’s nearly midnight, I’m in bed watching this and had to stifle an outburst of laughter so I didn’t wake my husband up when you cracked the “I’m lovin it” 😂 you’re the best! And I’m makin this for lunch or dinner tomorrow! 😊
Why would I want to go out and get a burger when I can make it just so good at home I like putting fresh garlic in in the meat and mixing it and then cooking that up preferably out on a nice good grill with mesquite wood just the whole shots so I don't go out to eat burgers and you're awesome I love your show thank you😊
I forgot to say I hope the bad weather doesn't impact Brooke or her family, same for Aunt Vicky and everyone that watches this channel. Please be safe out there people and Happy Memorial Day weekend. Thank you to those who served! 🇺🇲❤
Amazing Brooke! I must try this! My two grandkids love McDonalds! I’m going to surprise them and say “let’s eat McDonald’s.” At home for sure! A thousand times thank you Brooke!😊❤
Girrrrl! I love you! You're my hero. This is going to save so much money. And McDonald's just gives me a stomach ache anymore anyway. Making it at home will be easier on my digestion too. Less ingredients.
Kris at Citygirl Homestead gave you a very nice shout out. Love you and your family. I've been watching you since before you got to 1k. And look at you now. I'm so happy for you. Blessings 😊
I bought a 22 oz. bag of frozen Arby’s fries at our Kroger store for 5.79. Five orders of medium fries is 15.95. It might cost more than regular store brand fries, but it’s cheaper than eating out. 😁 I also got Checker’s fries to try.
Braydon's face of surprise on the Big Mac dupe says it all! I love you and your family, Brooke. Thanks for always making savings fun and be blessed always, my Southerland Squad! xoxo
When I copy cat Big Mac I use the end piece of the bread (I call it crust) and do the same thing, cut it into a circle. I also add a slice of Tomato cos I always thought it had them on it. Oops lol
pickles come on a real big mac! and thanks for the AWESOME video, i never ever would’ve known to use the dehydrated onions. great job and i really enjoyed watching
The dairy queen tender copycat is a win. Arby's too. Thank u great video . Copy cats I've done at home. I lost my job years ago and on Fridays we would have copy cat nite.
I use my pizza pans for multi things. I got two 10" pans so to fit in my toaster convection oven that I rather use than the regular oven. I even use it for plates, even though I am not hurting for plates. I use it for biscuits, did veggie chicken tenders for my boyfriend on it, etc.
Big Mac sauce is very similar to Thousand Island dressing. I work at McDonald's currently, and, believe it or not, I enjoy working that grill! Dusty is saving that sauce for later! 😊
My son and i go out to eat once a month. We usually go to Applbees and get their 2 for 25$. Cheaper than McDonalds! I cant eat at McDonald's due to Celiac but i can make this at home! Thank you❤
😂 fastfood has gotten very expensive! You're better off eating at IHOP, Denny's or a local Mom n pop's dinner, seriously 😣! Happy memorial day to you and yours, thanks for sharing, tudles 🎉❤
Thsnk you Brooke those burgers were much more burger than we would get at McDonalds so more food better taste , made at home and saved money ! Now that’s a huge win in my book my pocketbook also !! Thanks and Happy Memorial Day week-end , please thank Dusty for his service to our country for me !! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈🇺🇸🇺🇸
I'm lovin' it! 🤣 🍔 🍟 That made me laugh! Dang! Looks bigger & better than a Big Mac. Mickey D's is too expensive nowadays. Thank you Brooke! Happy Memorial Day weekend! Remember those that gave all. 🙏 🇺🇸
I am so excited for this series! We are in a budget mode at home this spring, and creative home-cooking is going to take the sting out of no fast food treats!
I was a kid in the 80's, we used to make the ole "welfare big Mac" it consisted of three pieces of sandwich bread, govt cheese, and a mayo, relish mix that was more like tartar sauce haha...grew up poor but had a great time!
Thanks for the reconstituted onion idea. I have never reconstituted then, but I just threw them in recipes. I gotta try them on hamburgers and gotta try baking them. Thanks.
I love your videos and your enthusiasm for everything. You and Dusty have some amazing children. Always love to see the kids reactions to the taste test
Awesome! I've been making copycat big boy burgers for a few months now. The sauce I'm used to having is mayo based and delicious! And there's only a few places in Cleveland Ohio to get them anymore. So living in WV, I had to improvise! Lolol The way fast food prices are going, I see a lot more copycat recipes in the future!

@pattybreeden7830 That's funny. I'm from the north, and when I read your post, it had a southern accent. My mom is a southern gal, too.😂

Yes ma'am absolutely correct ❤

OMG...awesome!! THANK YOU!!! Now I know how to do it at home!! Better than going out and cheaper too!! You crack me up...Love ya!!
I put burgers on a broiler pan or a cooling rack over a sheet pan to lessen the grease.
When I worked there many years ago, the secret sauce was thousand island dressing.
I did read a comment on YTube some short years ago that it was Thousand Island. Happens to be my #1 dressing!

Pretty cool you can now add tomato on certain burgers. At least via online or kiosk. I'm not sure about at counter.
I use that sandwich spread. Some people use the fresh salad dressing.
I meant thousand island dressing
I’m making chicken for dinner, and now I want burgers 😂😂😂
Looks great!
pickles come on a real big mac!

Ty for the onion tip!
My dad worked at a McDonald's in the 70's when they made in house big mac sauce.... it's ketchup, mustard mayonnaise and pickle relish

Y'all, don't forget to dip your fries in the Mac Sauce, LOL! Yum!I love this series, Brooke! Love and prayers for you and the family... 💜🙏
Thanks for the tip of baking the beef patties. I'll be doing that from now on. I hate the grease splatter all over the kitchen and popping on me.
If you have a broiler pan you can use that to drain grease too.
It looks delish❤
Once again you did it!!!!!!
Thanks 🙏 for sharing. Good summer meal.
Love 💕 and Hugs. 💙💙💙

I think thousand island works for the sauce! Love this video… I always loved Big Macs!
I am all about copycat recipes!! Carolina did chicken gnocchi soup from olive garden maybe a month ago. Great video!
I think you may have been missing a smidge of sugar on your homemade sauce. Great job. Learned something new about the onions. Thank you for sharing.
Love this. I’m going to try this for our next family game/movie night. My kids have never had McDonald’s but me and the hubby have so it will be fun.
I love your videos! So cheerful and filled with joy! You make me wanna cook😂😂
That looks great. I also love a Big Mc salad. Oh so good.

Thanks for the reconstituted onion idea. I have never reconstituted then, but I just threw them in recipes. I gotta try them on hamburgers and gotta try baking them. Thanks.

Great job
Love watching you!! You are the best. 😅
I went to the dollar tree because of you today specifically to get those cheddar biscuits you made for thanksgiving lol or it was one of the videos

So living in WV, I had to improvise! Lolol The way fast food prices are going, I see a lot more copycat recipes in the future!
I love the way burgers 🍔 taste once there baked.

Yes kfc chicken or Popeyes chicken
