Nero's Domus Aurea is a hard-counter to Gawain's Numeral of the Saint. Even when I think this battle is largely dependant on plot armor, Nero does have the skillset to win this.
But her NP IS plot armor ! She bring fiction to life ! That's how her power work ! If she find the right mood to win, she will be OP. If she doesn't find the right mindset or situation to fight, she lose. Her NP is a giant theater, yes she have plot armor inside, she turn fiction to reality while Gawain may be OP but have a limited output he can't really go over with his strike. He's fighting with a 10000 ATK strike against public ratings going between 0 to over 9000 depending on the mood of the situation.

The whole thing was poorly explained and made little sense, leaving the explanation up in the air for the viewers to theory craft about. And far as theory crafting goes, a comparison would be if Saber (Artoria) could blast through Gilgamesh EA and break his sword if Shirou used his last command spell while Saber sacrificed Excaliber by making it a broken phantasm. I bet many people would be pissed off as well.

But here, within the Golden Theatre, Nero's power and authority is absolute. Hence Gawain trying to destroy it before it was fully formed to counteract that. I've always found it odd that Nero doesn't have a Noble Phantasm based on the story that he/she supposedly played the fiddle while Rome burned. It even became a well-known expression so it should be able to affect her legend enough to be an NP even if it's not true. Would have been neat to have her reveal that it's actually a hidden NP she can only use if the Golden Theatre gets destroyed.
Nero's np has many stages, based on the stage the np is at she can perform a different technique within the golden theater or rather different performance. For example her trademark Laus St Claudius is when the theater is in its prime and this technique is when the theater is burning down. Its been speculated she has 4-9 different techniques available to her within her Golden theater
A bit later but saber Nero is the facet of how nero views herself via the abuse of imperial privilige so she is not only really weakin this Form (D and C Rank stats at best while normal sabers have B Rank stats as weakness) but it does not matter how the world views her since she is already using her skill of being an Emperor to negarte them. In her Rider Form she should probably have some skills and np related to rome's fire and the beast 6 so yea she should have the skill but she is willfully negating them

Now that a new version of her is in FGO, we can suppose her class and version affect which part of her legend she can use as a Servant. Her Beast/monstruous form can use something similar to the burning of Rome and the persecutions of christians personified in the seven headed dragon. But her Saber form is mostly her in her prime as a ruler, which was considered an eccentric but kind art lover, personification of Venus as an empress and Mars as a Romulus and Caesar successor. Nero's historical reign was quite good in standards in the middle of it, because the real Nero left the affairs of Rome in skilled hands (mostly his teacher, Senecca). It's the start and the end of Nero's reign that described him/her in Fate as a psycopathic killer.

I don't play many anime games but i absolutely loved Fate/extra, there is a fan translation on the work so I'll wait for ccc and the remake. Then I played Extella, it was terrible, but the third Route was worth all the Nero wank. I pretty much stopped there.

Knight of Owner allows Lancelot to convert anything he conceives to be a weapon into an actual Noble Phantasm tier weapon so something like an iron pipe could be converted into an A rank NP weapon for him. It basically makes it so he will always have a weapon at his disposal so long as he can grab something, even a rock. Nero's Theatre doesn't do anything remotely like that. It's a defined area created by Nero that simultaneously boosts her stats and parameters while decreasing any enemy's with in that area. As far as I can tell the two are nothing alike...

Aestus means an opening, entrance, etc. so a reasonable translation would be The Opening of the Golden Theater. Laus Saint Claudius literally translates to Praise of Saint Claudius. It sounds much better in Latin XD. As for Fax Caelestis, Celestis is Celestial, and Fax can mean an indictment or flames (roasting someone? O_O) So I'd translate Fax Caelestis as Celestial Flames since fire comes out after she attacks.
Fax Caelestis is actually a regular sword technique that she uses in Fate/Extra. She said, simplified: It's flashy, so just make it a Noble Phantasm! Which is why it's Bride Nero's Noble Phantasm. For the record, both Nero's NPs are Aestus Domus Aurea (renamed Nuptiae Domus Aurea as it turns white.) Laus Saint Claudis is also just a sword technique.
Fate universe is a confusing story (in a good way) I am not saying that Shaft's adapt is bad but in a way, they make fate/extra more confusing compared with original plot because the telling story art of Shaft's (at least for me) And "Saber, everything is on her hands" theme is one of the best thing when talk about Nero NP but they don't use it ( truly disappointed)
In this scene? Honestly im not sure, but in "theory", golden theatre is Nero's reality marble, its her place, her rule meaning no sun, no power up, or anything fancy for our boy gawain. So, the moment Golden Theatre is up, if you dont have anything to break that reality marble (Enuma elish for example) or anything that can defeat nero, pretty much nero is a guaranteed winner inside it.
I addressed this a few times on the video. You can scroll around and look but simply put: The Golden Theatre IS Nero's NP. The fancy slashes she does are just her being a showoff since the Theatre itself isn't exactly flashy as an attack. ( Taken from FGO: A unique Skill that derives from "Golden Theater of the Flamboyant". It is merely a sword-technique, but "from its gaudiness, loveliness and the overwhelming marriage-ness released by the wedding dress; why not call it a Noble Phantasm already? Right?" - it came to be treated as a Noble Phantasm because of such a statement from the concerned person.)
The golden theatre powers up Nero, debuffs the enemy and gives her complete field advantage. In this case it also negated Gawain's numeral of the saint, which makes him more powerful if hes in the sun, because of its roof.

I’m just having issue with the translation of the Noble Phantasm chanting.... it completely erased the original meaning and kinda diluted the poetic flavor within the words... also Socio (the name that Nero calls her master) means something like a lyrist or an executant of an instrument. She’s comparing herself as a musical tool and her master is the one that brings out the beauty of said tool. It should sound something like this: My lyrist! Heed the thunderous applauds of the thousands crowd. The pride of Imperium shall stand here, Like a blooming rose that blossoms splendidly. Raise the curtain! Golden Theatre! ------------ Then after Garwain sliced the theatre in half, she said, “I thought so, though thou does not know the next coming act. Well, just witness the finale of my theatre. Even if the canopy will not rise once more, this act is dedicated to my Lyrist. Take this! Faux Caelestus!”
If I was to translate it myself personally, it would be similar, however she refers to him as Maestro, not lyrist. When we translate from JP to English, the meanings can change and as such you can get different translations for lyrics and even meanings (this is best noted in the Time Judged All PV video that was subbed by 2 different people in the same fansub group.) However, I'm not a subtitler and as such I can only do so with CC as I did with my Prime Photon video and Resonant World Lyrics. I don't disagree that the translator who did these did a bad job, but we do get a general gist of what they are saying which is the end goal.
@@NepStation I just don’t understand why they chose to interpret the meaning this way, it is obvious they understand what she was chanting, they even got the “splendidly” translated, but somehow chose to omit the flower, Imperium, and Canopy... these are important factors that made Nero’s np. Since she is the emperor of rose. It can’t be a budget issue? It’s a conscious choice the translator made when they erased the original phrase and put what they want on there.

Nero's historical reign was quite good in standards in the middle of it, because the real Nero left the affairs of Rome in skilled hands (mostly his teacher, Senecca). It's the start and the end of Nero's reign that described him/her in Fate as a psycopathic killer.

I don't play many anime games but i absolutely loved Fate/extra, there is a fan translation on the work so I'll wait for ccc and the remake. Then I played Extella, it was terrible, but the third Route was worth all the Nero wank. I pretty much stopped there.

Knight of Owner allows Lancelot to convert anything he conceives to be a weapon into an actual Noble Phantasm tier weapon so something like an iron pipe could be converted into an A rank NP weapon for him. It basically makes it so he will always have a weapon at his disposal so long as he can grab something, even a rock. Nero's Theatre doesn't do anything remotely like that. It's a defined area created by Nero that simultaneously boosts her stats and parameters while decreasing any enemy's with in that area. As far as I can tell the two are nothing alike...

@alvi syahri Domus Aurea is the actual name of the theater that Emperor Nero built in his time which means Golden Theater. Aestus means an opening, entrance, etc. so a reasonable translation would be The Opening of the Golden Theater.
Laus Saint Claudius literally translates to Praise of Saint Claudius. It sounds much better in Latin XD.
As for Fax Caelestis, Celestis is Celestial, and Fax can mean an indictment or flames (roasting someone? O_O)
So I'd translate Fax Caelestis as Celestial Flames since fire comes out after she attacks.

Fate universe is a confusing story (in a good way) I am not saying that Shaft's adapt is bad but in a way, they make fate/extra more confusing compared with original plot because the telling story art of Shaft's (at least for me) And "Saber, everything is on her hands" theme is one of the best thing when talk about Nero NP but they don't use it ( truly disappointed)
So what's the point of that Golden Theatre? Did that reality marble do something with it? Or its just fancy slash?
In this scene? Honestly im not sure, but in "theory", golden theatre is Nero's reality marble, its her place, her rule meaning no sun, no power up, or anything fancy for our boy gawain. So, the moment Golden Theatre is up, if you dont have anything to break that reality marble (Enuma elish for example) or anything that can defeat nero, pretty much nero is a guaranteed winner inside it.

I’m just having issue with the translation of the Noble Phantasm chanting.... it completely erased the original meaning and kinda diluted the poetic flavor within the words... also Socio (the name that Nero calls her master) means something like a lyrist or an executant of an instrument. She’s comparing herself as a musical tool and her master is the one that brings out the beauty of said tool.
It should sound something like this:
My lyrist! Heed the thunderous applauds of the thousands crowd.
The pride of Imperium shall stand here,
Like a blooming rose that blossoms splendidly.
Raise the curtain! Golden Theatre!

Then after Garwain sliced the theatre in half, she said,
“I thought so, though thou does not know the next coming act.
Well, just witness the finale of my theatre.
Even if the canopy will not rise once more, this act is dedicated to my Lyrist.
Take this! Faux Caelestus!”
If I was to translate it myself personally, it would be similar, however she refers to him as Maestro, not lyrist. When we translate from JP to English, the meanings can change and as such you can get different translations for lyrics and even meanings (this is best noted in the Time Judged All PV video that was subbed by 2 different people in the same fansub group.)
However, I'm not a subtitler and as such I can only do so with CC as I did with my Prime Photon video and Resonant World Lyrics.
I don't disagree that the translator who did these did a bad job, but we do get a general gist of what they are saying which is the end goal.
@@NepStation I just don’t understand why they chose to interpret the meaning this way, it is obvious they understand what she was chanting, they even got the “splendidly” translated, but somehow chose to omit the flower, Imperium, and Canopy... these are important factors that made Nero’s np. Since she is the emperor of rose. It can’t be a budget issue? It’s a conscious choice the translator made when they erased the original phrase and put what they want on there.
