Fire breathing dragon, for sure. "The Green Eyed Lady" perfect name! I could leave 1000 good comments about the BEAUTIFUL BIKES that come out of Johnny's Vintage Motorcycles.
Thank you, so beautiful. You talked about Japan, when I lived there in the 70's It was so fun to meet and see the Japanese people. They're legs were so short that when they would race between traffic lights they would lean way over, as the light changed they would straighten the bike up and zoom off to the next light and do it all over again. Great memory's of bike's that hadn't even been seen in the United States until years later.
45 years riding I have never warmed a bike up by continually throttling a motorcycle like you do. Sorry Johnny, it just drives me nuts. Tell your mechanic he did a great job as usual.
You are absolutely correct. I have always put all my gear on, start the engine and ride off immediately. Same with a car. Of course it goes without saying that the engine should never be worked hard until thoroughly warmed up. Senseless idling wastes fuel and is not bad for the environment.
Great restore, my buddy scored a 77 KZ1000 for dirt cheap and it is in stock form 50,000km on it and overall very very good shape. Love your restore but painting frame green destroyed it for me, should have been left black
Throw that P.O.S. Kerker in the trash ! All that great polish, with anodized handlebars ? LTD front fender would have been nice with the good looking double discs !
I will have to check his order for the badges. The customer had the body work done himself. I will try to contact him for the info. Please keep in contact with us as we proceed with the info
Nice bike, nice work, nice video. But.. i gotta complain about the removal of sissy bars and the rear rack? These jap bikes don't look right without one. Back in the day, if you saw that tall bar sticking up in the back, you knew it had POWER, it got respect, and just overall good look and feeling. But somewhere in the timeline, people felt embarrassed that it WASNT a Damn Harley, so they took them off. BRING BACK THE SISSY BAR! Bring these bikes back to their glory.
@@Jim-MT a grab bar is that small bar that go's close to the rear fender. A sissy bar stood up about 18 inches, and had a leather pad on it. Its purpose was to make the passenger feel more comfortable from falling off, coining the phrase "sissy bar"
@@extreme978 Yep, after owning 32 motorcycles over 60yrs including 3 Harleys I know that. My point was that this bike came with a grab bar that one holds (grabs) onto rather than a sissy bar that one leans back on.

Does Hilo have a motorcycle and if he could have any classic bike which one would he choose?
He has several. He has a custom H2 that is on you tube. Also he has some older harleys
So very good jobs!

Nicely done. What is the average turnaround time?
It takes about a month, but we are pretty booked up
Lovely bike Johnny. Could i ask, what colour green is the paintwork and what model are the tank badges from? They set it off a treat. 👍

Are the motor cases polished or painted ?
vapor blasted
Toecutter approved.
Very nice bike but I wouldn’t have put a green frame on it makes it too green in my opinion too much
What number is the pilot jet?
Paint it black 💀😎

I think you mean 'Grab Bar'?

Yup. For me my 79 kz 1000 gets more use than my Harley. Timeless Beauty
