Needless to say, this was an eventful day. We visited the beautiful, free-falling, 92 meters high, waterfall Månafossen, one of Europe's largest screes: Gloppedalsura and some abandoned tunnels at Giljajuv. What a day!
This is episode five of my Norwegian waterfalls series: Running Waters. See my channel for the other episodes.

The real Mecca of photographers is your country. Whenever I’m back from Norway, in two weeks I miss this gorgeous country with all it’s glorious landscapes. Great work Oddjbórn. Thanks man. Hope to see you in my next trip to Norway and maybe a photography collab!
Thanks a lot mate! Appreciate it. Currently on Shetland. Also a beautiful island 😀
The image of the base of the waterfall with the rainbow was wonderful. that scree looked like a great playground but a bit of a tricky location for photos
It sure was a playground, but I wish it was a bit more overcast, the sun that day was mental :) Not a Norwegian sun at all.
Thanks Peter, appreciate the kind words!
I didn't think anyone else loved rocks and rock formations as much as I do - until this video. Thank you. Loved the tree growing out of the rocks but the falls at the end of the video was wonderful too. Leslie
I love a good rock (the rock creature from a Neverending story comes to mind, hehe) Thanks for the kind words Leslie, take care!
Thanks for taking us with you! Great photos even in full daylight.
No problem, thanks for the support. It was not the best light, but you got to work with what you got instead of trying to change it. A lesson I sometimes tend to forget myself! Thanks again :)
Great images of the waterfall with rainbow 🌈, the second location looked challenging, but the last waterfall was a bonus 👍👍👍
Thank you mate! It was really challenging, I was very warm being out in the sun all day! Was nice to get back into the shade :)
That waterfall and rainbow was absolutely gorgeous! Awesome video as always mate 👌
Thanks ever so much James! And congratulations, I saw the title of your video, haven't had the chance to see it yet, but look forward to it :)
This episode was worth the wait. Thanks!
:) That makes me happy thanks Jami!
A photographic wonderland. You are having too much fun. :)
hehe, you may be right :) Thanks buddy!
I sure like the mtn, waterfall, cave and river.
Thanks Jeff! Appreciate it 😀 Have a great week!
What a place! Love the quick shot of the side of the hill and the shot with the cave in it - that one in particular is fantastic, far more complex a composition that I myself would ever attempt, nice one mate.
Thanks mate! I loved that last location, but there was a huge difference in the light and dark areas, and it was kinda hard to work around it.. I will return there for sure :) Pretty pleased with the image though! You will climb up there in no time once your leg injury heals! Hope it does soon by the way. Take care and have a nice weekend!
I'm all fixed thanks mate, looking forward to getting back out on to the fells. Meeting up with James in a couple of weeks which I am looking forward to. By the way, if I don't speak to you before my next video is released all I can say is 'I am sorry' - you'll understand what I mean when you see it. :)
Haha! Well, now you're making me curios :) Give James my best! And have fun!
As always, it's a great pleasure to accompany you. And what amazing shots! The "Hillside" and the "Tunnel" were gorgeous.
Thank you so very much for your work!
Thank you bud, for always watching and commenting :) Take care and have a great weekend!
Spændende område for måneskinsbilleder/blå time. Ha det godt til næste torsdag. Tak for igen en god video.
Ja, der sier du noe :) Takk for støtten. Ha en fin helg Paul!
Great double act. That shot with the rainbow was spot on. Love how you work the landscape trying to tell a story. Great trip😬😬👍
Thank you very much James! Appreciate it mate. I know it seems like I work the landscape, but to be honest I was just looking for some shade, hence all the talk about trees.. :) hehe
I really like your stuff oddbjorn! really inspiring
Thank you so much Fabian, very kind words! :)
Awesome video Oddbjorn. No wonder you had a huge smile on your face after the last video from Manofossen, it is pretty spectacular. The way you composed the second image almost made the water look like a giant icicle the way you froze the water cascading down and, of course, all the other images were awesome as well!! Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to next Thursdays episode!!
Thanks buddy! I thought of iceicles as well, or something very similar. Månafossen was very impressive, I knew it was good, but not that good 😀 Thanks again for the kind words!
Loved the waterfall and rainbow images , great work Oddjob enjoying your videos
Tusen takk Andrew! That was a really nice trip, I should go back there soon for another go :)
Oddbjorn - jealous of all the beautiful mountain scenery you have access to! I admire your effort at shooting in the strong, midday sun. That can be difficult, given the harsh contrast. Somehow you make it work! I also enjoy the way you pick compositions out of all that information - that's a very difficult thing to do, something I know I could be a lot better at. Another good adventure and it makes me want to get back out and have one of my own. Best, Dave
I'll admit, a bit to much sun that day, but you got to work with what you got sometimes :) Thanks for the kind words mate. I sometimes try to pick out or look for shapes among all the information if I feel overwhelmed. This is the second time I've tried to photograph a scree. They are hard, but I think I get a tiny bit better at it! :) Have a great weekend and take care!
Ohhh cousins is just something cool about you guys to see you together, what can I say , another awesome episode from gorgeous location! And waterfall without the rainbow, must have and you delivered!!! Did I motioned the music along was very appealing, happy to see you were trying to find different POV than thousands before you took the same frame, thank you , cheers from Colorado!!!Verdon!
:) Thanks for the kind comment Verdon! Looking forward to your next adventure friend! Have a great weekend!
Nice video, beautiful location.
Thank you very much Nina! Appreciate it.
Wonderful video, very relaxing to follow your journey...your editing and commentary were top-notch. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to your next adventure.
Many many thanks buddy! Appreciate it. Have a great weekend :)
Hey there my friend, Månafossen is absolutely amazing. The pictures you took of it are just stunning. The scree lookes like a big monument. Plenty of possibilities for photography.
Have you already planned a next trip?
Have a good weekend and grab a few cold ones 😁🍻
Thanks Marcel! I had a lot of fun that day! Next trip is already filmed, releasing a short film next week explaining more there. currently on my way to Shetland 😀
Great episode! I liked the two of you mixed will! Keep doing it!
Hi Biffy! Thank you very much friend! We will definitely go on more trips together in the future. Check out his drone video if you haven't. It looks spectacular from the air!
Thanks for the ride! Was really a trip to remember. 😀 waiting for your shetl vlog now :)
Likewise buddy! The shet vlog is all over the place 😀 lots of things happening 😀 hehe. See you soon!
Wow!
Well done my friend. Shooting with your shadow in the scene is so frustrating. I never considered photoshopping it out. The raven was trying to tell you to beware of falling rock. On the rainbow shots, I wondered, would a polarizing filter enhance the rainbow colors or kill it all together?
Thanks buddy! Removing it in PS, worked better than I expected, but still, I'll grab that image next time I'm passing through :)
I thought the raven might say that hehe! Don't really know if a polarizing filter would enhance the scene, mine is currently busted so I couldn't try it.. Thanks again!
Flotte steder. Hyggelig fotograf 😀
Takk for det Natalia! Ha en flott helg 😀
Hi The ‘system’ unsubscribed me from your channel, which I did not want to happen!
Loved the picture of the bottom of the waterfall, an abstract combination of colours & shapes.
That’s no fun! Glad you discovered it and made it right again 😀 Thanks Christopher, appreciate the kind words!
I kept seeing an image of a tree with water as the background at the first stop. Surprised you didn’t take it.
Hmmm, yeah, sometimes I miss stuff! It happens from time to time :) It gives a reason for returning there another time when the sun is not so harsh!
congrats to article and also check the music video too, you are quiet a dancer, love it!!!
What article (podcast) and what music video (there is a a few) :) hehe!
