I discovered Trance in the late '90's at a Border's Books music listening station & was fascinated by the unique sounds & beats. I bought a lot of Trance CD's back then. Not so much today. It's a different world with digital downloads & youtube. There's an almost unlimited amount of music here to see & listen to both pro & amateur. I like what you did & to do it live is impressive. Keep it up. And ignore the haters. They're like pain, they exist just to remind the rest of us that we're alive.

Totally agree. But most of the turntable guys don't actually know or understand music theory, nor do the have any instrument-playing chops. Maybe the answer then is to get rid of any "musicians" who can't actually play an instrument/sing/etc. Mixing turntables does not require much talent, can be done by non-musicians, by people who only *listen* to music and by natural extension mix the start and end of tracks together at the same tempo. Big deal, whoop
agree. like any other instrumental concert or classical concert, play the music live! artist can play his/her own music live and then turntable other artists' mixes and weave it throughout the set, now THAT would be skill (there are plenty of ways to do looping live too so it's not an unfeasible possibility, and they can loop beats and then transition to another artists' mix, then play their own stuff live)
It just doesn't sound as aesthetically pleasing. Music production isn't just about whether or not you can play a live instrument. There other important factors such as EQing, sound design, composition and mastering. Live music just doesn't have those aspects.
The electribe is working as a midi controller. it controls few channels of radias and m3. Look at the light in electribe and compare it with the sounds you hear:)

SideChaining means that the sound waves, for example, the sound gets quiet when kick hits and then get louder and then quiet when kick hits and then louder :) You'll get that :)

@orientalflux I am not sure what do You mean... The outputs was linked to separate channels in mixer in FL Studio. but the signal was not corrected, and even if i want there will be issue with latency due to real-time playing and many outputs(no DSP on X-Fi Elite Pro).

This is awesome. I don't have any questions about your specific set up, but I was wondering what the best way was for a beginner to start making this type of music? I'm a rock musician and I mostly spend time recording and mixing electric guitar, drums, bass, etc... I have knowledge of theory and composition so I'm confidant I could write this type of music, but I have almost zero experience with synths and producing/mixing this type of music.
nawiasem nie wrzucajmy do jednego worka samplerów, syntezatorów i stacji roboczych bo tego nie da sie porównać. Co do podkładu to było tu bardzo dużo roboty gdyż MX-1 używa zarówno m3 jak i Radiasa jako moduły dźwiękowe, jednym słowem mx steruje radiasem i m3 w czasie rzeczywistym. Ułożenie patternów na mx-1 też proste nie było, bo sam w sobie tak złożonych podkładów to on nie ma:)

hi guys...im quite new to music and i want to learn how to detect for example if i play a synth part in a daw...how do i find out what key it is in and also how do i accompany the synth part with the right kick drum?if for example the lead synth is in c...do all the other sounds have to be in c also?the kick, bass, pads, percussion, guitar and so on also have to be in c?how do you go about finding out what key it is in...can you determine this by ear??thanx

Great setup!! I recommend the Access Virus, has nice biting / cutting harder sounds than the M3 / Radias, it would be a good addition to your studio. I own the Virus C personally, it's most certainly my favorite synth.
Gavin McCloy Virus is a software not a True Analog :) Of course there are many softwares better and cheaper than Virus, but they dont have, real keys and knobs.

hes not playing live, at 4:24 his right hand playing the piano, when he goes down the paterrn his finger accidently hit 2 keys with one finger, which would make it sound like he made a mistake, but it didnt make any error from the sound... so which means he is pretending to play on the keys
Yes, i miss the key and You can hear it, but due to fact i have used very sensitive velocity curve the hit sound is on very low volume, because much pressure went on the right key.. Of course there are always a conspiracy theories, so i understand that :) Thanks for analyzing the technical side of the movie ;)
+Rederix i just used a popular trance pattern for arp which You can find in many classic trance tracks. Look for today music, most tracks are using patterns from another tracks. This is nothing new, nothing to excite.
Testowałem Virusa Ti2 i powiem szczerze że tak jak podszedłem do niego z wielkim entuzjazmem i wymaganiami tak odszedłem od niego zawiedziony bo spodziewałem się na prawdę czegoś dużo lepszego, oczywiście jakość dźwięku jest bardzo dobra. Na pewno Radias ma większe możliwości syntezy dźwięku niż Virus Ti jeśli o tym mowa:) Teraz już na muzykę za bardzo nie mam czasu, gdyż zmieniły się priorytety. Na pewno zaopatrzę się w Kronosa gdyż to najlepsza stacja robocza ale to będzie ostatni zakup. Tak.

I created it in piano role in DAW and then i copied it to the electribe . Electribe send midi to Radias.
