That's in accurate, even the Wikipedia is wrong. In a interview she said she recorded the songs between 1970 and 1973. Wikipedia claims she's born in 1955. I don't think she was 15 or 18. And in the same interview she said she was in her 20's. Also I remember it was for her birthday they gave some CDs of her old tapes found by her son to the attending guests. I think it was for her 60's birthday. It was in 2005 I think (or another early year of the 2000's) Her real date is probably more 1945, making her 79yo this year.
I've never heard a recording of her singing in german. I get the feeling she might've been influenced by Leonard Cohen and possibly Sylvia Plath, so maybe that's why she sings in english.
