    My boss was stopped at stop sign. 5 ton truck sped by her taking off front end of escalade. I was behind her watching. She was very lucky. It never moved. 3 days later i am driving escalade. And maybe for rest of my life. Ps i do feel special driving it. Love love love it.

    I have one, and I can say it is about the smoothest riding and best cars I have ever owned. Plus I put a exhaust on the v8 and the navigator can’t argue with the sound of a 6.2

    To be fair the Escalade has been out for a long while now... I'm pretty sure just as always the new Escalade will far outclass the navigator when it comes out

    I love my new 2018 Escalade Luxury in crystal white which i bought in January 2022. I had the 2008 Escalade sport Diamond white since new and it was good enough to last 14 years and counting. I probably would have kept my 2008 but it needed about 6-7k worth of body work and my wife didn’t want me to put that much into a truck that old. I love all the tech and my 4 year old loves the 4g LTE Wi-Fi. The folding 3 row is great and there’s plenty of storage since I don’t have the built-in fridge. The rear camera mirror & 360 view is awesome to have. The 10-speed gives me 30-40 percent better gas than my 2008 6-speed. The best mpg I seen on my 2008 was 17.1 and the 2018 I seen 28 mpg on the same straight highway. The magnetic ride is nice as well with the tour, sport & snow/ice mode. Nothing beats a 2018 Escalade. The headlights looks like fancy jewelry. The 2021+ Escalade looks more like the Tahoe from the front with no special headlights. The 2021+ also is bigger and looks like a school bus. I also like the truck like body on frame that the 1-4 generation had. The 2018 is sleek and classy as well.

    I work for Cadillac, and totally agree with her points. However! Don't pick on the poor volume control so much; she was trying to single-click to turn down the volume - it's meant to SLIDE your finger across. All the brushed metal pieces in the center stack are meant to be finger rests to guide your finger.

    At 7:00 the reason some of the buttons aren’t working as fast is because especially the volume button you don’t push it, you slide it I just kind of think you should now kind of more about the car before you review it. I don’t really want to pick on you because you are the first woman car reviewer I’ve seen, but still.

      the v6 is great for what they are quiet good fuel economy and low end torque no one ever revs out these trucks the escalade needs to update their truck to be quiet and smoother its suppose to be comfy and plush not a stiff rst drag car

    I like this reviewer. Good job. I would prefer if they kept The infotainment gripes in context. I have used CUE in my wife’s ATS (fantastic car by the way) and I find it good the same way I find the infotainment system in my Audi good. There are things I hate about it and things that I like. Also, like everything, familiarity brings things to light. That volume button she was complaining about? It’s actually a slider that makes it super easy to adjust volume via touchscreen while driving.

  • @Mr_consuela

    The gauge cluster has 3 distinct styles but each one has many variable styles in between the layout and the volume is more of a drag to change not just tap

    I really do like Cadillac and I hate how much people talk crap about them,but I do agree that for the price point it should look way nicer on the inside, and it’s third row shouldn’t have that hump that makes your legs cramp up, so I hope they take in all these new reviews and their (new) competitors (Lincoln) and fix their interior

  • @aaliyahthomas4324
    @aaliyahthomas4324 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Everything you said about the escalde was so on point I do wish Cadillac put more "mmmf" into the interior design cause it's not the best 🤷🏾‍♀️ but as a owner of an escalde I can say this it's an amazing SUV being the fact my Escalade is 16 years old but when your on the high way coming in hot nobody sits and or tries to run you off the road nor tailgates you they admire that big hunk of a suv 😂🤣 and not to sound cocky or anything but you feel so much better than everyone 🤷🏾‍♀️ like any Escalade owner could some what agree. But since this truck was passed down to me I can for sure say you gotta ask yourself why😂🤣 cause it's a whole lot of truck. But tbh the Escalade oh it's an eye catcher and I wouldn't want to trade in ol girl even if I had to😋

    I agree with her, the outside looks great and everything, the interior makes me wonder I didn't Cadillac made an extra effort to make it more luxurious, more fancy, more special... It tries to be very nice but it doesn't. Paying that much for that SUV... I honestly prefer the Navigator.

      aleks kuki - I don’t get it bud, she said the truck is getting a dated feel, and I said how is it dated and it’s only 3 years old, 3 years old is not dated.

    • @alekskuki6335
      @alekskuki6335 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Adams Daily Drive well it is dated because it looks old to some of its competitors? Because it has a column shifter? Thats probably why

    • @adamsdailydriveway
      @adamsdailydriveway 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      aleks kuki - idk what she’s basing the dated opinion on, she did say the boxy body style, but there are many boxy bodies still, g63 is the key for box suvs, as far as huge suvs this Escalade is the same as Tahoe, suburban, Yukon, and navigator just changed up for 18, but remember the 07 Escalade went upto a 2014, so 7 years strong and they are still at dealers selling and only look dated due to its tech, but I don’t think this Escalade body style will be changed until maybe 2020 or 2021.

    • @alekskuki6335
      @alekskuki6335 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Adams Daily Drive yeah, that’s true.. the escalade is known for its shape and size, but it looks old compared to the new g63 or some range rovers or even the jeep grand cherokee, I don’t think she meant the box shape tho

Plus, the Atlas, Durango, and Santa Fe I checked out all has much more room in the 3rd row than the Yukon and Suburbans I tried

    It is still a Truck. By the way, very well made.
    The consumer which looks for an Escalade knows what they are bringing home.
    To be honest, after Tesla none of those cars make sense anymore. However, I would consider buying a brand new Escalade without thinking twice.
    It still has the connotation of the American Luxury family car. It is big, strong and reliable.

  • @alliejr
    @alliejr 6 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    In my experience, the ride is smooth but the NVH is so poor that all the interior bits are constantly jiggly and squeaking, even from new. Interior fit and finish is 3rd rate. The 3rd row is a joke (as is true in all of these GM SUVs) because the solid rear axle requires the seat to sit on the floor, therefore your knees hit your chin- FAIL. It's fake luxury.

  • @Phantim3dx
    @Phantim3dx 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Um no, the Lincoln Navigator was the first to make a new segment for full size luxury. However, Cadillac took it from Lincoln the year after and ran with it for multiple years.

    After sitting in this vehicle a couple of days ago I was pretty disappointed. Built quality was not up to par (especially for 100,000) and the fact it doesn’t have IRS is laughable. The third row is cramped, the infotainment system is dated, and doesn’t even have LED turn signals.

    The Navigator was 1st. And that column shifter is so out dated

    selection is not just yukon and suburban... there is Ford Expedition Max, and the outdated Toyota Sequoia... but Cadillac didn't create the Luxury SUV...

    The Escalade still outsells the newly redesigned Navigator, no man who can afford a 100k beast wants a wimpy v6, and thats coming for a limo guy that drives an escalade, you'll only see escalades at the airport

    Lincoln went and put the Raptor Engine in it.. Its a V6 with a Turbo Charger.. Its NOT a V8 and when those Turbos go , and they will, its costly since they only break one mile on the other side of warranty. I can if i want put a Turbo on the 6.2 L V8 Escalade and pull 800 HP but 430HP is pretty solid. Never trade a big block V8 for a small V6 with Turbos,, the engine is a Fake News !

    “Cadillac practically invented the luxury SUV” uhhh no Lincoln rolled out the Navigator before Cadillac rolled out the Escalade. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Escalade but I don’t like false facts

    Everyone here is saying the Navigator is better. What the fuck do you know? You drive a 98 Toyota Corolla thats being held together with duct tape and bungee cords. "Oh the ride in the Navigator is so much smoother and the engine is so much more responsive" Driven it have you? Either way i would take the Escalade because its a GM truck and well I've had enough experience with Fords to know they are unreliable piles of soon-to-be rust.

    Nice looking suv but they are junk! We drove one for a rental it was terrible! Had a bad transmission it kept slipping, it would creak and squeak, the rear door would stick. Lots of other issues. It had low miles too. Nice looking car though but I will say the new navigator has a way better interior now. It has more hp with 450hp but that 6.2 sounds nice though.
